EVOKE, a print studio

I really hate to take away a star but I have a bone to pick with this place. They’ve taken care of several print jobs for me and have done so wonderfully. However, the last two times I have been very disappointed… not by their work but by the fact that they weren’t even open during their business hours. I went over today (Monday) at 5pm, an entire hour before they say they close, and they were totally closed. Even their window says their hours are Monday-​Thursday 8am-​6pm. They didn’t even leave a note explaining if they would be back or if their hours had changed or what. Very sad about this.

Came through again to do the same print job. This time they told me they couldn’t do it which was a lie because they did it before. I found out that they have to custom cut my order which is probably why no one is jumping at the job. Regardless, they offer a service and they should be able to deliver. This time it took them three days to complete the tiny order that took them 25 minutes last time to complete when someone was fully invested in the project.

Evoke always does amazing job with any project I’ve brought to them, from large mounted poster to flyers and cards! Friendly and helpful staff

Awesome print studio run by APU! Great prices, fast service and excellent quality. I have used them several times for event color posters and sticker decals. I’m always impressed! I also appreciate the fact that I can email files and they will work on stuff so I can just pick it up when it’s done. Saves me so much time! Keep up the great work EVOKE!

Their customer service is above and beyond. They are always helpful and will do whatever it takes to make sure you get what you came for and leave happy. Highly recommend!

Overall, very disappointed with this printing studio. I was excited when I enterened, because a friend had referred me. however, the place is ran by a bunch of young kids that do not know what they are doing. I ordered business cards, which I was told was going to cost me almost $ 200 for like 750 business cards no gloss. when I also got a sample they looked like they were made out of paper. Not to mention, the service was poor. The students/​workers didn’t know the prices and said they would call me
To tell me my grand total and never did. Thankfully, I called and canceled and got the same job done at kinkos for $ 40 (1000 business cards gloss)
Talk about a huge difference in price and quality

So I came here just to get 40 invitations printed. No big deal. Yes big deal. I was here for a grand total of 1 hour and 20 minutes. I have never written a review before, but I will never ever come here again. I only give it two stars because the dude at the front and a woman who was probably the manager or someone in charge were really nice and helpful. The other two girls were busy helping their friends. Then to top it all off, when the invites didn’t come out the way I wanted, they had to change the tint or some crap and charged me 40 dollars more than I was quoted on the phone. Thanks a lot. Go somewhere else. If I had card stock I could have done this in a quarter of the time and for half the cost.

Emily Myers is a designer sent by the design Gods. Her professionalism exceeds that of Picasso, Queen Elizabeth, and Fergie. She is the Mother Teresa of servitude and cares for her customers deeper the Mariana Trench. Every time I go in, Emily is working and greets me with a smile that puts Mona Lisa’s to shame. Rumor has it that Emily works so much and so hard that she has a bed in the back. Emily is design goddess among mortals. Your print is her demand!

I just left Evoke after getting some business cards made and I’m so ecstatic about the service! I had no idea about what I was doing and Kyle immediately offered us help and even though they were busy, he proceeded to give me all the help I needed which was tons! He helped me develop a beautiful card and never laughed once when I asked stupid questions! He was so nice and knowledgeable! When I go back, I will always request his help! Thanks so much!!!

I went here because all of the students at APU recommended this print shop, but it was my fault for not asking what type of services they used.
I came here to print a marketing assignment, after plugging in my USB drive the format was completely messed up (also my fault for not converting to PDF). After I had edited it all using their computer when I went to print it came out absolutely disgusting! I almost cried because my assignment was due 30 minutes from the time I had arrived at evoke. After editing and seeing the final result I had no time to go anywhere else. I was very angry he even made me pay for such a mess.
I did call after I turned in the assignment and he said I could come back to print my assignment for free (since I had converted to PDF after the fact), but I didn’t want to waste my time going back because he wasn’t very reassuring the first time I printed. He said, «Oh it must be my printer why the print quality didn’t come out like you wanted». I had a picture of me as well as some other graphics in color, my face was red, the graphics were very pixelated and they were graphics used directly from power point. Also, I told him I was in a rush right when I walked in, and 5 minutes later his lunch arrived and he started eating instead of helping me. He asked me what kind of paper and how many pages probably 5+ times… Seriously, are you even listening?
Overall I didn’t feel he was very keen on helping me and didn’t put any urgency on me as a paying client to make sure my needs were met. Will definitely not go back here again, even for a quick print project.
I would give no stars, 1. I have to put something and 2. the first time I came in to see their paper inventory he was friendly and helpful.

I had to have some invites printed up so i thought I’d try this place for the first time. I was very pleased and impressed with the service. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices were very budget friendly which was a big plus to me. I highly recommend this place.

I had a great experience with Evoke! I had a bunch of booklets printed, and the quality of the paper/​cover is fantastic. It was really easy to bring in my file and tell them what I wanted. One of the booklets hadn’t been glued in all the way, and when I brought it back they fixed it without an issue. I’ll definitely be coming back!

You will never, ever, ever, find prices as good as these. Period.
I get my Headshots here, they’ll cut them to 8×10 for you… I’ve created an entire look book, comp cards, our band has made tshirts & they’re amazing, stickers, they have banners under $ 40, seriously.

Donna Rutherford designed my wedding stationary. Everything came out beautiful and I received lots of compliments on my wedding invitations, fan programs (we had a garden ceremony), and our wine themed table names and numbers. The customer service is great, especially for a stressed bride. I will continue to use this company for all my printing needs! Thank you so much Donna!

Since the last visit, they were must more attentive. Went in to print several posters and buttons. I spent 2 hours creating and editing what I had on the computers and got everything printed within a timely manner. Service was quick and would definitely come back again…
Not to mention, the prices are fantastic!!!

Thee Best. I am a small business owner, I design & print all the time. The staff is very helpful, all you need is patience. From what I have observed they are a small company that have alot of work to fill due to their reasonable pricing & awesome work.
They have helped me on various projects & I do not hesitate to tip because they take their time with helping each customer if you have time. Bottom line that wait time is worth it due to the pricing & one on one service.

I won’t be going anywhere else to print as long as I live in the Azusa area. The employees at Evoke are professional and prompt. My projects are always done with the greatest quality, and they even call me when I haven’t been completely clear about what I wanted with my piece. They make sure to get it right.
While it can be busy during the school year with students coming in and out to print projects, it is worth the wait. They will get your work done well and quickly. I highly recommend Evoke.

Overall, I have been really happy with this place. They are going to save me a ton of money on my wedding stationary (of course I have to design it all myself, but I love doing that anyway). It is also a lot cheaper to print research posters here than other places (like Kinkos).
However, the service you receive (and the ultimate product you end up with) is going to vary greatly depending on who is free to help you when you walk in. Their customer service has improved GREATLY since they moved off the APU campus but it can still be hit or miss. My worst experience here was a few months ago. I was trying to print a poster and the girl helping me just could not understand the words coming out of my mouth. It was an hour of back and forth, me explaining what I wanted, re-​explaining, and growing more and more impatient with her. She seemed very new to the job and graphics in general so can’t blame her too much. I just avoid having her help me at all costs now!
