Modern Revival provides the unique and intimate details not found at your traditional event rental establishment. We specialize in one-​of-​a-​kind furniture, authentic whiskey barrels, handpicked glassware and all of the vintage accoutrements to complete your special affair. We do not rent typical tables and chairs, but instead we can help you add the flair to any of your special occasions or photo shoots.

History

Established in 2012.

Meet Josie & Jonathan-​Jonathan is a renowned Chef with over 20 yrs of Menu Creation. Josie was in Food & Beverage-​Weddings and Events for 25+ yrs. Josie after two back surgeries had to end her career. In March 2015, Josie & Jonathan Hofberger aquired the established business, it was a way to work from home and be able to work with the clients again. I do think that those nights of watching The Road Show played a part! Together they have had the opportunity to meet wonderful clients, assist in creating & bringing their vision to fruision. Modern Revival was founded by a wedding coordinator by trade. We have tried to do her justice in carrying on what she started. Now with the wonderful and fun pieces Modern Revival Rental’s carries, we feel confident you will find the accents that will best complete your vision for your special event and/​or photography session.

Business Owner

Jonathan & Josie Hofberger own Modern Revival Events. We acquired the business after Josie needed to end her 25 year career in the Food and Beverage business, 10 of them with Weddings and Events due to two back surgeries. This was a way to stay connected to the weddings and the parties. It had such awesome items that it just made sense. I think that all the watching of The Road Show might have played a small part too! We purchased the already successful Modern Revival established in 2012. A little about Modern Revival Events, we are here to provide unique yet affordable rentals for weddings, special events, photo shoots, event planners and corporate events in the Phoenix and surrounding areas.

We used Modern Revival Events for our wedding in March, and their inventory was amazing. The perfect inventory to create an beautiful vintage shabby chic wedding. They had these large barrels that helped us create a wine bar that people absolutely loved. When we were using Modern Revival they were in the process of changing ownership which made me a little nervous at first but when it came close to our wedding date Josie, the new owner, was an absolute blast to work with. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and really tried hard to make sure everything was taken care of. My fiancé and I decided we would pick up items that we were using, there was a small hiccup in the meeting with Josie and she felt so bad she offered free pickup of the items and even offered to let us use more things in the inventory. We were blown away by her offer, and when the stress is high having a vendor offer these things it almost made me want to cry. To me that shows that Modern Revival really cares about their clients. I definitely will be using them in the future when I’m helping plan all my friends weddings.

Checked out there storage area, couldn’t use anything this time but defiantly will in the future… They have lots of stuff and were really helpfull!!!

I am just starting to sell vintage and handmade items at local fairs and don’t have much in terms of large display pieces. I contacted Modern Revival and they had everything — and more — than I could ever want. They provided ladders, backdrop panels, crates and a few odds and ends to help make my booth amazing. I had so many positive comments on the overall beauty of my display! Their items are so great — and reasonably priced. And I just adore the husband/​wife Modern Revival ‘team’. They were gracious, friendly, knowledgable and more than accommodating in terms of delivery and pick up. I just can’t say enough good things about how special they helped to make my event.

Modern Revival is one of the first in the Valley to provide modern + vintage rentals for brides, photographers, and those planning a special event. The owner has a large studio where she has all sorts of props including mason jars, burlap table runners, chalkboards, centerpieces, amazing vintage furniture, wine barrels, and even antique wagons, tricycles, stools, and other cute stuff for baby/children’s photography shoots or baby showers! She really has the most unique, cutest stuff and is always adding new unique things. Her collection has been published on multiple blogs and magazines around the country. She is flexible, affordable, and most of all, creative and fun to work with. She will give you tons of ideas and even helps set up your own decorations and intermixes them with hers for truly special events. I highly recommend going with Modern Revival instead of trying to do everything yourself. She has everything you want and need at a price you can afford. It will save you tons of money and time. I only wish I had found her sooner!
