History

Established in 1980.

Our studio started when owner, Paul Howard, relocated to Avon, CT in 1980. Over the years he has worked with hundreds of students of all ages and in all musical styles. The studio is now located on the 2^nd floor at 176 West Main St. in Avon.

Business Owner

Paul Howard is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University and has been teaching professionally for over 30 years. He works with students of all ages and in the past few years has specialized in creating programs for adults. Paul was also a founding faculty member of the prestigious National Guitar Workshop and taught summer programs there until 1999 at which time he left to run his own summer programs in Avon. He also has five instruction books published internationally by Alfred Publications. He performs regularly with his band, Last Fair Deal, as well as in a duo with Grammy winning resophonic guitarist/​fiddler, Stacy Phillips. Paul’s experience, dedication and patience make him one of the most sought after instructors in the region.
