Follow up review. Recieved an email back and have been in contact with them since. Guess you could say I spoke negatively to soon.

I’m afraid this review will not be like the others. I was very disappointed in the professionalism and reliability at this shop. My best friend ordered bridesmaid dresses from Laura and was under the impression that she was going to make them since she makes bridal gowns. Once the dresses finally came in (just 2 and a half weeks before the wedding date) my friend found out that they were sent away to be made and the custom dresses we ordered didn’t fit 1 out of the 8 bridesmaids correctly. On top of that when I called months in advance to give my measurements I was told I would be charged for half of the dress, then the rest when I picked it up. I was charged the full $ 200 the day I called to give my measurements. Clearly the dresses were made incorrectly since they did not fit around the arms or shoulders for anyone.
I had mine corrected at the shop and thought that since I had already paid $ 200 for a custom dress I wouldn’t be charged to have it fixed. However, I was wrong. I was charged $ 32 for a mistake that shouldn’t have been made. A couple of the girls lived in other cities and were scrambling days before the wedding to find someone to fix the fitting error. One bridesmaid had to pay an extra $ 100 on top of the original $ 200 to have it fixed.
Everything came down to the last minute which was such a headache for everyone. It was absolutely ridiculous that some of us didn’t get our dresses until a few days before the wedding! I still needed to get my dress hemmed and she wanted to charge me $ 35. I found someone else to do it much cheaper. The wedding was this past Saturday and the dress was so tight on the arms I have scratches and bruises lining the tops of my shoulders. Absolutely unacceptable.

A close family friend recommended that we go to Laura for my wedding dress alterations and wow, I am so happy that I did! I live in Chicago so admit that I was a little nervous to have my dress altered 300 miles away. After the first round of alterations, the dress still needed a couple of minor adjustments. Laura took down all of my measurements, worked her magic, and the dress literally fit perfectly for my second and final fitting.
Laura’s shop is adorable and it was so fun for my mom, sister and I to look at all of the dresses and try on accessories. I found a beautiful pair of earrings, bracelet and headband to complete my look!
I highly recommend Laura! She is amazing and will make you feel like the most beautiful bride there ever was!

I love, love, love this boutique and the owner/​designer, Laura. I visited three other bridal dress shops and at each, found one or two dresses that could work, but none that elicited the reactions I got from every single dress I tried on at A Bride’s Design. I found the perfect dress and I can’t hardly wait the six months it will take for the dress to arrive! I also bought a veil, sash and earrings from A Bride’s Design. All beyond gorgeous. Laura gives Vera Wang a serious run for her money… she is an AMAZING designer and Ohio is so very lucky to have her! I would recommend this place to all brides and bridesmaids… this should be everyone’s first and final stop! Oh and prices are outstanding! A++++++++++++++

Just finished wedding dress shopping with my cousin. We went to David’s Bridal, Pat Catan’s, Leonardo’s and then went to A Bride’s Design. We had other places on our list for the day, but after meeting Laura and seeing her dresses, we cancelled the other appointments.
Laura is amazing and so are all her designs. We loved every dress my cousin tried on. Laura was so helpful and offered just the right amount of guidance and advice.
Her dress shop is adorable too!!! I highly recommend skipping the other places and coming straight here.

I second all the other five star reviews here. Laura was so great. She wasn’s pushy at all. I tried on a dress and I asked her about making a dress for me and brought some pictures along. She was very helpful. This shop is too cute too. There are dresses and all sorts of other wedding paraphernalia that is reasonably priced.

I talked with Laura over the phone before I made my appointment. She answered all my questions without judgement and did not have a problem with me sticking to my budget. She was very honest, and I was able to make an appointment with her within a couple days.
Her dresses are well– designed and made (by Laura herself) with interchangeable straps and details. I picked out maybe 3 to try, and she brought be another two that I would not have noticed that totally fitted with my hippie-​goddess meets art-​deco style. She did not pressure me in any way and was very friendly an professional.
Originally, I didn’t have good luck or experiences at previous bridal shops, and was going to settle for an «OK» dress from JCrew to stay under my budget, and found this gem on a google search; I thought «why not?» Laura’s designs surpassed the adequate designs I was considering at JCrew, and at a comparable price. The first dress I tried on was exactly what I was looking for, well actually, better than I had hoped.
Bottom Line: I found my dream dress at an amazing price!

What a cute little shop! By far the best dress shopping experience I had. The owner, Laura, is sweet as can be. She doesn’t pressure you and truly just wants you to find your dream dress! Her designs are beautiful and she can also do custom. She made many alterations to my dress to make it truly one of a kind! Very reasonable on dresses and alteration fees! You must make an appointment, as she gives you all her individual attention and the shop is small. The selection isn’t huge, but that’s because there aren’t any ugly dresses!

We met with Laura, the owner, late on a Saturday afternoon to look at wedding dresses. She was very accommodating and did not pressure us into making a decision. Many of the dresses she has designed and sewn herself, which makes them one of a kind. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of dressmaking and detailing. The boutique atmosphere and personal assistance make the shopping experience very special. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

This small, super cute boutique was by far the best bridal shop I dealt with while planning my wedding. I had purchased my dress from a different shop in Philadelphia and I was desperately looking for someone else to alter my dress. A Bride’s Design came to the rescue; they did a fantastic job and worked within my short timetable. The also have some great options for accessories like jewelry and veils and the line of bridal shoes they carry are surprisingly comfortable.
It’s a small shop in the front of a historic Avon house (you park in the driveway) so they don’t have a ton of inventory but what they have is high quality and reasonably priced. They carry a few designers as well and have their own line of dresses. They also custom-​make dresses. The owner is so sweet and so helpful. I definitely recommend this place.
