Dr. Bryan H.

Business Owner

Dr. Bryan Hassler grew up in El Paso, Texas. He attended Wheaton College (IL) where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He went on to attend Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2009. Since then, he has worked as an associate dentist in the greater DFW area before opening Legend Dental in Austin in 2011. Dr. Hassler and his wife, Kelly, have three children, Hudson, Cohen, and Leo

Dr. Hassler loves the practice of dentistry and is committed to continuing education. His stated goal is to provide his patients with quality dental care in the most comfortable conditions possible. He believes that well-​educated patients make the best patients and hopes that his patients will always feel free to ask questions and bring their dental concerns to him for whenever they arise.

The staff here are awesome. Everyone is genuinely kind and patient. Dr. Graham is very thorough, gentle, and explains everything before he does it. I went in for a procedure that was pretty much horrible at my last dentist. Under Dr. Graham, I had almost no pain afterwards. He stayed late on a Friday night with his staff to do a good job.
It’s also great to see a staff that genuinely likes each other. The rapport they have with one another at this office is really great to see.

I had a root canal last Thursday (5 days prior) and now am in increasing pain.
No small talk or chit chat to be personable at all. Sat for over an hour in almost complete silence.
I tried calling during their open hours (9am) for 2 full days, and have only reached a voicemail.
I left a VM and sent an email through the website to no avail.
I had to call another dentist office to get out of pain and finish the crown since I cannot get a hold of Vida.
At this point I would give 0 stars but have to give 1.
UPDATE** Finally got a text to confirm my apt next week (3 days after I started calling) Couldn’t even call me back. They said that a storm from 3 days prior knocked out the power during the time that I was trying to call.
The dentist actually called to reassure that this power outage happened.
Still not completely happy since I had to go to another practice, but if true then not much they could do.

I had a great experience at Vida Dental. They took care of my teeth and met all my needs. Dr. Torres was very polite and spoke fluent Spanish. I recommend this place to any customer having teeth pains or anything of that sort. The price was manageable they worked well with my budget and figuring out a payment plan that fitted my lifestyle.

About a week ago i got a cleaning along with my xrays and exam. I just recently moved to Austin and was over due for my check up. I ended up having a few cavities which I wasnt surprised. But I went home with more knowledge on how to take better care of my teeth and gums than I have from any of my other dentists. They took their time in explaining what my treatment called for and answered what questions I had. Nice and comfortable. Now to just get a day off to go back for my fillings. And I’ll definitely be back for my next 6 month cleaning. Thinking about doing some whitening. That will be on my next appointment’s discussion list :)

I brought my 6 ½ year old to Vida dental with tooth pain. In addition to the tooth that hurt, his front two teeth had a filling between them that had fallen out.
The dentist was patient with my son, who is fearful of the dentist and needs the process to go slower than normal, however the prescribed treatment was outrageous. A total of 3 root canals and 3 crowns. One for the tooth in pain, and one for each of his top front teeth. The dentist stated that since the filling had fallen out, the only option was crowns (I should note the filling was rather small, and there was no pain at that site.)
So, the tooth in pain aside, this dentist wanted to charge $ 2000 to put two crowns on a frightened 6.5 year old, on teeth that typically fall out between the ages of 6 and 7.
We found a well reviewed pediatric dentist, and he thought the course of treatment from Vida was way overboard. We took care of the issues for a 1⁄10th of the cost. If you go to Vida, get a second opinion. They are upselling, not taking care of the patients.
