Tony Appliance Repair

I would recommend Tony to others for appliance repairs! He came and replaced our NXR oven igniter and fixed a top burner. He showed up on time, was very clean, and his price was very fair for the amount of time he spent at our house. I am very satisfied with the work he did. Kudos to Tony!

Tony is a very credible person. He showed up when he said he would. He diagnosed my washer and found that it was working. I gladly paid the diagnostic fee and was glad that my washer was working great. He’s knowledgeable and friendly.

I’m not an easy person to please, especially where customer service in involved. I worked in a service business for a number of years, and I expect to receive the same dedicated attention and professionalism that I always tried to give my customers. Yet, despite my high standards in this area, Tony exceeded my every expectation for a service professional.
On a Wednesday evening, our washing machine refused to drain. I did some research in hopes of fixing the problem myself, but accessing the drain pump requires unstacking the (gas) dryer from atop the washer, and that was something I wasn’t comfortable undertaking. I shuddered to think what a repair person would charge to do this but concluded that I had few options.
Thursday morning around 9:00 am, I called Tony. Since his Unilocal ratings are so high, I figured it would be several days before he could squeeze me into his schedule. He personally answered the phone, listened patiently to my description of the problem, gave me a ballpark estimate, and said that he could come by early that same afternoon!
As promised, he arrived around 2:00 pm. He tried all of the easy fixes first — including replacing the drain pump (which he had on his truck with him!) — but finally concluded that he would have to order and replace the control board. He was very apologetic that replacing this very expensive part was going to require charging us more than he had originally estimated and offered to reduce his charges for the work that he had already done.
The part arrived the next day (Friday), and Tony came by that afternoon to replace it. By 6:00 pm – less than 36 hours after I had first called him — the washer was repaired and has worked perfectly ever since.
Throughout this experience, Tony was friendly, professional, and courteous. He wasn’t at all intimidated by the complications of the job, and he gave our job his full attention until the problem was resolved. The repair wasn’t inexpensive, but considering the high cost of the parts involved, the amount Tony charged us was more than fair.
Tony is that rare service person you always hope to find. He is honest, knowledgeable, and hard working, and pleasing his customers is his top priority. I hope that I don’t have any more appliance-​related incidents that I can’t address by myself, but if I do, I sincerely hope that Tony will still be around to take care of any such problems for me, for he has certainly earned my complete trust and confidence.

Tony was great! He was able to get me in same day and had the parts with him that he needed to fix my dryer. I will be calling him for all my home appliance repairs from now on.

Tony came out the day after Christmas and was Very responsive. After waiting for almost 30 days for service from an approved Home warranty approved contractor, I couldn’t wait anymore. Called Tony on Thursday before Christmas and got an appointment in a very timely manner. He provided excellent customer service, reasonable rates, and was very thorough. Highly recommended his services.

Tony was amazing! My washer broke all of a sudden and I called around to several places that put me on hold for a long time and then told me I’d have to wait several days before they could get someone to come out.
I called Tony and he was immediately able to come over. Once at my house, he found the problem with the washer and after discussing the details, he helped me find a cheaper solution: buy a refurbished part online which he agreed to install ($ 90 part instead of $ 350). The part arrived today and I called Tony and he was free to come over today and fix the washer. While he was at it, he adjusted the washer height so it wouldn’t wobble when it spun.
I highly recommend anyone who needs a washer repair person to bypass the other larger companies and call Tony.

It took Tony all of a half hour to repair both our gas cook-​top and washing machine. Both were minor problems, as it turned out, but they had stumped the other guy we called. Tony was on time, wasn’t bothered by our too-​friendly dogs, was super polite and professional, and charged less than $ 100. I’m very impressed.

Our washing machine sprung a small leak last weekend. I called Tony the following Monday morning and he was able to drop by the same day. In less than 15 minutes he had evaluated the problem and suggested a fix. The fix resulted in a part having to be ordered, which he said he would have by the next day and would return to install it. The next day he called first thing in the morning letting us know he was on his way. When he arrived he promptly got to work and the washer was fixed in 10 minutes. Thanks Tony for your prompt and courteous service. We need more professionals like you around.

Tony is extremely professional and very knowledgeable. Within 10 minutes of looking at my fridge he figured out the issue and got the needed parts ASAP. His rate was very reasonable. He also kept in touch and kept me informed as to what was going on. I highly recommend Tony for any appliance issues and will do future business with him again.

I work for a property management company and know how hard it can be to find trustworthy, high quality, and affordable contractors. Tony is absolutely all of those things.
For appliance repair, many guys have a speciality or struggle with certain types of jobs. Tony has fixed everything we have put in front of him and always been a text-​book professional.

It has been a few months and I thought I had posted a review… could not find it when a neighbor was asking for a recommendation. Tony did come to my house and fixed our oven that decided to quit heating up mid-​baking cycle. He responded to my initial call very quickly. He set up a time that was good for us both. He called ahead to say he was on the way. Tested out the oven, told me what was wrong and what was needed. Returned the same day with the necessary part and the repair was completed before the estimated time for return and completion! WOW!

A month ago my dryer did this really neat trick: if would watch as you loaded it with wet clothes, turned it on, waited an hour, then witnessed as you pulled wet clothes out of it. It thought it was so funny! I did not think it was funny, not even a little bit. I called repair shops around town but they are so specific: I only do refrigerators. I only work on ladders. My focus is on blenders from 1978. When I found Tony, he said he could come by on the same day. I shouted out a hallelujah, as one does.
Tony doesn’t mess around: he disassembled the dryer in the same way I take down a layered cake: both require skill, but his technique is solid. He tested the power and that was all dandy. He identified the problem was being caused by a loose breaker on the breaker box outside. There wasn’t enough current being transmitted to the dryer. After adjusting that and getting it working, and lamenting having deconstructing the dryer, he pieced that thing back together the same way I carefully reorder the contents in a cake pan so it doesn’t look like I actually ate that much of the cake. Except his skills on reassembly have mine beat by a slight margin.
Tony apparently works on all the things so you should probably bookmark this page right now. For under $ 100 and in less than an hour he fixed the issue and went on his merry way. You wont find a better person to get your junk back on the up and up.

I had an appointment with another company, but they canceled twice so I called Tony. What a relief: Tony said he was in my area and he said he would be at my place within 15 minutes to take a look at my dryer. Tony promptly showed up in 10 minutes and was able to quickly identify the issue. The part he needed wasn’t available but he quickly ordered it and had my dryer fixed in no time! Thank you, Tony!

We have an old, late 1990s washing machine and somehow we keep going with it. We thought it was dead for sure almost a year ago, but on a whim found Tony on Unilocal,he came over quickly and fixed it in lightning speed. Our washing machine is still going! He’s fast, courteous, reasonable and great. Highly, highly recommend him!

Had some electrical chaos in the kitchen of our rental home stemming from a poorly ground circuit breaker/​fuse box, and our KitchenAid oven suffered the brunt with what was ultimately a blown transformer. After our landlord attempted unsuccessfully to resolve the issue, he called Tony, who was an absolute delight to work with. He came over and quickly diagnosed the problem, and returned promptly once the part arrived about a week later to complete repairs. And his communication during the time in between met my expectations.
Not only does Tony stand out for his quality of work, but the guy works with a smile and treats people with respect. I think those characteristics are lost often times in today’s marketplaces. But Tony has cornered a great combination of work ethic and positive attitude. Would highly recommend.

Another happy, satisfied customer here. The heating element on our dyer went out and needed to be replaced. Called Tony on a Thursday afternoon, said he could be out at our place Saturday morning (we live in Dripping Springs, outside City of Austin limits). I was hoping for the same day or next day service, but because we live so far out from Central Austin we had to wait an extra day. That being said, he was still the first person out of three different places I called that could be at our place sooner than the following Monday!
Tony called on Saturday morning to let us know he was about 20 minutes out, and he arrived on time, when he said he would. He was in and out in about 30 minutes, and we had a working dryer again! Tony was very professional, amicable, and more than happy to explain what he was doing every step of the way.
I definitely would not hesitate to recommend Tony to anyone in need of appliance repair, nor would I hesitate to call him again!

I called Tony after a power strike fried the electrical wiring for my washing machine. Tony answered my call and was at my house 3 hours later… ON TIME!
Told me the issue, fixed the washing machine and was out the door in less than 1 hour.

Not Punctual, Did not show up to repair washer
I Called him midweek. Said I would have to wait for his svcs 3 days. I waited. He called me Saturday and strung me along all day saying he was on his way three different times. Then made his last excuse through text why he couldn’t make it, but that he would call me to come fix the washer and left me hanging with a broken washer. One week later and he has yet to contact me.

Mr. Smidgens can fix anything when he has the time and the patience. This would not be that time. I called around trying to get estimates because I had fixed my parents dryer when it stopped heating last year and the other companies said they don’t do that over the phone; and it would be a week before someone could come out to «Diagnose» our dryer not heating issue. I had already taken the dryer apart and knew it was 1 of 3 things.
Time was not on my side with work, music, and this thing called sleep we must get to function properly. I did what any Unilocaler would do, I hopped on Unilocal and read the reviews. I looked for honest customer reviews. Not friends of the company or owner.
Well there it was, Tony Appliance Repair with 5 stars all around. I called Tony at 10:05 am and he was at our house by 11:40 am. He had the dryer fixed in 30 minutes.
That saved me time from ordering parts and then waiting for them to be delivered and or picked up from a local business. NO TIME! We needed our dryer fixed and Tony obliged.
Tony fixes all appliances and offers a 90 day warranty on parts and service.
Thanks again, Tony. Now Mr. Smidgens can have warm fresh smelling clothes right out of the dryer again!

My 10 year old dryer stopped spinning on laundry day. I figured I would watch a few YouTube videos and I would become a professional repairman like Tony. I was wrong. After spending hours troubleshooting and removing parts it was time to bring in a Pro.
Tony came to the rescue and was excellent! I called him on Friday and he came out on Saturday to fix. He had the parts with him and repaired the dryer within 30 minutes. I highly recommend!
