Man I wish this place was in South Austin. Can’t be beat as a lunch option for price, portions, and flava. They might rush you through the buffet and they don’t have sweet tea. But dang, this greek food is the real deal. And they have a gluten free side menu so you can make quick decisions about GF on the fly. I got the gyro platter with two sides and a salad for $ 8.99. Spent $ 22 on an equally delicious meal down south for similar ambiance and quality. This place is the jam.

The chicken feta salad and hummus is divine. I crave that anytime day or night. Everything is fresh made to order. Staff is friendly and accommodating. They have many sides to choose from if you go that route. Yum!

Love this place. The atmosphere is a little on the meh dingy side, kinda like an old pizza diner, but the food is cheap, portions are huge, and I quite enjoyed everything I had. It’s not completely fresh, but I didn’t expect it to be, it’s buffet style. Will definitely be back soon for the lamb Gyro and babaganoush.

Everything about my visit was pretty mediocre. The variety is there(though they were missing 2 of the 3 items I initially wanted to order), but none of it stood out is all that great. Not bad, but definitely could be hotter, or tastier, or fresher, or most good adjectives you look for while dining out. The atmosphere and overall feel of the place was also just a bit lacking. Probably a fine place to grab a bite for take-out, but for $ 13 I think I could probably get a better dining experience elsewhere.

«Meh» is definitely my review upon eating what I bought… Which is missing an item I paid for. It’s alright, far from the best Greek/Mediterranean food I’ve eaten. Thank you for having a vegan menu. That is awesome and MUCH appreciated. But… Who makes falafel, of all things, non-vegan??? The steamed veggies are non-vegan??? Something is wrong in the prep kitchen if those items somehow require an animal by-product.

I got the gyro plate with 3 sides. Spinach pie, meatball, dolmathes. The sauce was great. The pita was great. Plenty of comfortable booths to sit in. Clean bathroom. Plenty of parking. Reasonable parking. I think it even has wifi and a couple outlets too. I need to come here more often.

This is the second time eating here and it’s been quite good both times. I’ve eaten nearly every item on the food menu and all are above average on taste(although the meats are a little salty). The amount of food that you get is incredible considering the price. I would definitely come back here. A couple of negatives to take away: 1) The staff is ALWAYS very frumpy, monotonous and overly bland. 2) The tables(again) were extremely dirty. 3) I wish that their beverage selection was greater.

I’ve been eyeing these wraps at ACL so on the last day, I had to get one. Falafel is my go to when it comes to Greek food, and Tino’s falafel wrap was spot on. The pita bread was thick and soft, and the tzatziki sauce was delicious. I also got a squirt of some spicy orange sauce on top of my wrap, which added a nice kick to the whole shebang. A great way to end this magical 3 day fest, so I wouldn’t be opposed to trying out the actual venue soon!

I actually had placed a pick-up order at another restaurant yesterday in the same plaza and it became clear as I walked by Tino’s and smelled its deliciousness that I’d made a big mistake. You get a lot of bang for your buck at Tino’s. My go-to order at Tino’s is the chicken platter with lemon chicken soup, steamed veggies, baba ghanoush, and rice. They throw in a pita wrap and some tzatziki sauce with your order, as well. Everything is well-seasoned, fresh, and delicious. I’ve only been disappointed once(and I come here a lot). They served me pre-cut chicken instead of freshly carved chicken and I could taste the difference. It was cold, unflavored, and a little hard. My recommendation: treat yourself and insist that your protein come straight off of their rotating racks of meat. You won’t regret it.

Not bad for the price, although all the items they featured I’ve had better versions at other restaurants. Baba ghanoush — good flavor overall, I prefer a little more olive oil and herbs. Hummus — this was not very good, the texture was incorrect for the item, too watery. Steamed Vegetables — cooked just right. Grilled Chicken — marinated with good spices, and moist with lots of flavor. Greek Salad — Tzatziki sauce on top of veggies. Overall nothing really stood out as excellent, but for a quick lunch this works.

I was pleasantly surprised that my husband decided to branch out and try this place on a weekday for lunch. When he told me he liked it, I asked him he to take me, so he did. We went on a Saturday around 1pm and it wasn’t busy. We walked right up and ordered. Lunch prices seasoned reasonable and the dinner prices only added a few dollars to the lunch prices. The hubby got the combo plate with mashed potatoes, rice, soup, and meatballs. I got the combo salad. Since we both had the same meat, I only tried his extras. The soup was okay, but not something I would order on its own. The rice was good for rice. I really didn’t care for the flavor of the meatballs. It’s served in a red sauce and so I was expecting something like Italian meatballs. I’m not sure how it was seasoned, but there was something in it I didn’t like. I LOVED my combo salad. Both meats were perfectly cooked. It was a huge plate of food. I had at LEAST3 scoops of feta cheese on there with the salad dressing and tzatziki. YUM! I would totally come back here for lunch!

Ok – so the food is perfectly fine for the price point – but why are there flies in the restaurant every time I come in? This freaks me out a bit, especially since it’s served buffet-style from behind an ordering counter. Seems like a health code violation.

The area that this restaurant is at is a nice place to pick up a quick dinner. My husband and I will walk up to this shopping complex for dinner and I’ll get Greek and he usually gets Chipotle! We sit at the covered patio tables and it makes for a nice casual night. With that said, the food at Tino’s is good, but I just think it’s a little overpriced. I think the staff could be a little friendlier, but they’ve never been rude or anything. I’ve never had to wait in line very long and my order has always been accurate.

I was very happy with my food at this café. We went at an odd time between lunch and dinner and the food was still in great shape. I had a gyro plate with a dolma, spanakopita, feta salad, falafel and extra tzatziki. It was a huge amount of food and I think it was enough for two meals. I will absolutely eat there again. However, the staff was not paying any attention to the dining area. There were so many dirty tables that we had to walk past 8+ tables before we got to one that was clean. When we were on our way out and I was dropping off our trays at the counter(since there was no obvious place to bus your tray) I had to tell the cashier that all of the tables had dirty dishes on them. She addressed the issue right away, but everyone else just stood there like they didn’t care at all. One small table near us had multiple tables worth of trash and no one had checked on it in at least an hour. Since I’ve worked in food service, I’ll chalk this up to shift change with no manager in the house, but I hope it’s not a trend at Tinos. My friend and I both really enjoyed the food so you should give them a try(but maybe take the food to go?!)

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. The staff seems miserable but they make great food! I got the gyro plate with tabouli, spanakopita and feta salad. It was delicious and I’ll definitely come back here for their happy hour despite the unhappy demeanor of the chef and cashier!

Not Astoria NY but pretty decently close. Food super fresh and prices are good. Definitely coming back to get my almost close to home taste.

Their gyro is not gluten free. Neither is their lemon chicken soup. Had their chicken platter with dolmathes, mashed potatoes, hummus and a feta salad for $ 9. Food tasted good and portion was huge. The atmosphere can be a little tense. Everyone is in a bit of a hurry and the employees seem stressed. A good place to go to if you’re in a rush – get in line, pick out what you want, pay then eat.

Good gyros and salad. Great hummus. Did not care for meatballs though. Reasonable priced.

I really liked this place! I came for dinner, and was impressed with the amount of food that I received for the price. The menu layout is different than I was expecting– more like a cafeteria than a traditional restaurant. You order your food cafeteria style, pay, and then pick a seat. I did like being able to see my food and choose it that way, rather than by reading off a menu. Some items I was unsure of their name, so by pointing to them the friendly staff was able to let me know what it was I inquired about. I didn’t feel rushed or stupid for not knowing what the names of all the food were, and I really appreciated that. I see a bunch of reviews think this place is pricey, but perhaps being from Houston means I have a different view of pricey vs. Austin. For about $ 11, I got the Gyro platter which comes with a meat and 3 side items, AND a feta salad or soup. I tried the Lentil Soup, and it was good– my first time trying the soup and it wasn’t bad. They do charge extra for the Tzadziki sauce if you don’t want to use it as one of your 3 sides, but it’s a mere $ 0.75 more. Pita bread is also extra, and I believe it was $.50 more– again, nothing too expensive. I wasn’t even able to finish all of my food. For sides I got the hummus, rice pilaf and spanakopita and it was all delicious. I also got dessert, because who doesn’t like baklava?! It too, was delicious. Again, I don’t think that spending less than $ 15 for what turned into two meals is too pricey, and the quality of the food was well above what I expected. I look forward to coming here again the next time I’m in town!

Fiancé and I were in the Mueller Development looking for office furniture when I got really hungry. He had never had greek food before and I love a good gyro so in we went. It’s served cafeteria style. The staff is not exactly warm and friendly. They are just there to give you your food so they can go back to doing whatever they were doing before you bothered them. One staffer was nice. She asked me if I wanted extras and didn’t rush me as I made decisions. The portions are huge! We each got a gyro plate. One plate would have been enough. The meat was good but lukewarm. The salad was tasty and the pita was good. The falafel was okay but the real winner here was the hummus. I don’t know what it was so good but I wanted to put it on everything. And I did. The portions were so big, I had plenty for leftovers. One big downside is a majority of the tables were dirty. Out of the 15 or so tables around us, more than half were dirty. I saw one person bus one table while we were there. It could be a little cleaner but it’s not sketchy and the food is still good.
