Thrive Affordable Vet Care

The best vet experience! I had an appointment on a Saturday afternoon and it was not hectic at all. They were right on time and super efficient. Both the vet tech and the vet were so sweet with my cat, handling her with ease and care. Very clean waiting room and examination room. We had a conversation about a treatment plan that we both agreed was logical. It is so nice to have a dialogue about treatment, rather than forcing prescriptions on us. Nice, clean, smart… AND only $ 20 for a full exam and rabies shot.

What a great place! Dr Sameer Modak was very nice and super honest. He laid it out straight about my pup’s teeth. He said that one tooth would need to get pulled because her plaque build up was so bad (she was a stray), possibly more, they would evaluate during the dental cleaning. He explained the whole procedure and how my pup would probably handle it and feel. The technician was super friendly and they provided me with a great, affordable and honest quote. 280 for a dental cleaning and a (or more) possible tooth extractions. Austin urban vet told me it would be 689 for the same procedure (excuse me??). Day of: I drop her off at 8 and later that day, during the procedure, they called me and informed me about the severity of her dental condition, they would pull at least two teeth and due to her bad plaque situation she had developed a growth on the roof of her mouth ($$). I told them to take care of my bae but of course feared of the bill. They called me again later that day to inform me about her condition, that she is healthy and just waking up from anesthesia and they will take care of her until i pick her up. I picked her up around 530 and i was happy to see my love was alive and well. They told me how to give her the pain killers, how to take care of her dental hygiene in the future and even answered a lot of my other questions about canine preventatives, heartworm and flea pills etc etc. they gave me info and prices. Turns out they have heartworm and flea meds that cost 50 bucks for six months, whereas urban vet wanted 20 bucks from us per pill.
Needless to say, Thrive will be our #1 Vet and we are no longer going to Austin Urban Vet Center: you are only paying for their rent! Urban vet center’s ridiculous prices made me feel like i wasnt able to provide my pet with the care that she needed. Oh and also! I only paid 270 for the procedures at thrive, even though they did much more than they had quoted me for! Thrive is a blessing! My pup and i are thankful that you guys are here!
Oh, and also, its a beautiful and new facility and it strangely smells like bananas — not pets. Delicious!

Great vet care at an affordable price. We took our dog here for the first time yesterday for some problems with a skin allergy. The vet was knowledgeable and informative. We paid $ 10 for the exam fee and $ 30 for the prescriptions (steroids and antibiotics). I had previously been taking my dog to Emancipet for vaccinations, but I’m going to switch all of my records over to Thrive because I’m so impressed. I plan to go here for all of his annual vaccinations and vet care in the future.

Great experience overall! Friendly staff, affordable service. The Vet was refreshingly honest and direct. I felt no pressure in agreeing to unnecessary procedures. The clinic is modern and clean with a great vibe. Would highly recommend.

Great experience! $ 10 for the visit and they priced everything before I chose the interventions I wanted. The vet was very HONEST and professional and helped me narrow down my options to a more affordable price. Everyone who worked there was friendly and loving toward my kitten. Will definitely continue to visit!

Best pet care I’ve found since being in Austin, and so affordable! I took my dog in for a wound that became infected on his paw. Everyone was very kind and efficient. Visit, antibiotics, and pain killers only came to $ 45 total. That’s how much I’m used to paying for the exam fee alone! We’ll be back :)
