The Gypsy Wagon is Austin’s newest Texas-native gift boutique, featuring women’s apparel, jewelry, men’s gear, and hard-to-find home décor.

Our customers are free spirited, happy-go-lucky folks who prefer an effortless but purposeful style. This fall we are showing velvet fringe kimonos, floppy hats, patterned chunky cardigans, and the perfect tall boot for Texas gals.

Some of our favorite brands are Spell, CP Shades, Johnny Was, Tumbleweed Texas, and Richard Schmidt Jewelry. The Gypsy Wagon’s on-staff stylists can help you pull it all together.

South Congress is our third location; We have one in Dallas and one in Crested Butte, Colorado. We got to Austin as fast as we could!

All manner of cute things for your home and attractive accessories and apparel for your wearing pleasure. I challenge you to spend some time in this store and walk out empty handed… p. s. I handily failed that test but I least I practiced a modicum of self control and put back a pair of earrings, settling on a cool beaded lariat necklace for NYE.
It’s true I did feel watched while shopping there, which I wouldn’t have minded so much if anyone working there had asked me if I needed any assistance (which I did, I wanted to see a necklace the mannequin was sporting). Perhaps they should look into those security sensor tags and some video camera equipment.

This place is cute and kitschy. It’s like etsy/pinterest exploded and had a store baby. It feels like the folksy cousin of Urban Outfitters (less offensive, but still tons of pillows, funny stocking stuffers, etc.). A lot of tchotchkes, not tons of stuff that you’ll hang onto for longer than a couple years. Good for little gifts. Lots of quirky, blog-popular kind of stuff (tea towels with sayings on them, cutesy ornaments, quirky cards, funny onesies for aunts to give their nieces and nephews, etc.), cute, but similar to other shops on south congress.

Bought a stuffed animal fox for my fox. My sister in law paid for a real genuine leather wide rimmed brown hat at a good price. It looked great on her!

I love their selection of goodies from t-shirts to cute mugs and beautiful jewelry. The selection has something for every trendy girl out there. The only downside I would say is they are priced too high but I’m sure it’s because of the location. I bought a necklace, two midi rings and a tea towel for $ 190. I would have bought way more but all the stud earrings I liked were $ 32 and up which is ridiculous. I’ll definitely go back periodically though and it’s a cute place to buy gifts to show your Texas pride.

I always wonder who they’re demographic is exactly because surely no one can justify $ 88 for a smallish lamp shade? I truly wish I could afford to shop there as I bet it targets 22−30ish year old females who like adventure, traveling, cactus/desert themed things– hey, I’m all those things– I’m their people! But the prices are incredibly steep for Austin. Also, the sales associates do have a tendency to follow you around the store a little too much which makes me feel uneasy. Keep up the wicked cool marketing and trendy desert vibe you’ve got going on, Gypsy Wagon– it totally works, just put an occasionally sale on every now and then so those you appeal to the most can actually be within reach!

My mom and I went to the gypsy wagon and had a blast! So many cute clothes, accessories and things for the home. Prices vary enough so that there is something for mostly everyone. The staff was exceptional as well! I wish I got the woman’s name, she was so helpful. I will be back often to check out the new selections!

I’ve actually been to the location in Dallas, and I found this location even more fun. You’ll find all sorts of stuff for your boho lifestyle, as well as local/Texas products (I bought the book «Guide to Texas Etiquette» by the inimitable Kinky Friedman). Products are on the pricey side, which deterred me from buying more. Still, it’s a worthwhile place to stop on SoCo.

Customer service at its worst. I don’t particularly enjoy being stalked and followed as I shop. I felt like I was in the scene of Pretty Woman. Disappointing, because they do have some cute items in store.
