We are a unique concept be cause we bring the cupcake party you. We work with each of our clients to plan your event. At the event, your guests get to choose their flavor of cake, icing, filling and loads of toppings. Our cupcake bartender handles it all, so you can enjoy your stress-​free event!

History

Established in 2007.

The Cupcake Bar started out as the sister company to Figs Catering (est. 2005). At an event, Figs did a cupcake bar and the guests (and us!) enjoyed it so much, we decided to make it a business. We feel so fortunate to have the continued support of Austin and look forward to many years of providing fun events here.

We are a locally run and Austin-​grown company.

Bringing delighted grins to faces of all ages is one thing Lori loves about her work. Cupcakes are also the ultimate creative outlet, and she enjoys working with each client on customized designs, whether for a bride and groom’s big day, a birthday celebration or a corporate event.

Prior to launching The Cupcake Bar in 2007, Lori spent more than 15 years in the catering and event industry, ran her own catering company, received culinary training from Le Cordon Bleu, and earned degrees in nutrition and food science from Texas A&M University. Lori is currently an active member of Nuptial Essentials Association of Wedding Professionals and acts as the current President on the Board of Directors for International Special Events Society, Austin Chapter.

When she’s not busy with the cupcakes, she loves to spend time with her husband and kiddo!
