Great quality of leather, great craftsmanship, great furniture knowledge. This place is not even close to your typical «big box» leather sofa store, as soon as you enter you can see and feel the difference in quality. The store manager was very knowledgeable and helpful, we will definitely being ordering some pieces from here in the near future.

This is an excellent leather furniture store. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I never felt pushed or hovered over. Wide range of styles and excellent leathers. I would definitely buy here again.

Huge selection and Great Prices. They will bend over backwards to earn your business. As far as delays… Sure they can happen and I expect them. It’s a CUSTOM piece of furniture. It took me a while after looking for the right furniture to decide to use Texas Leather but Im very glad I did,

Bought an expensive custom sectional from this company. It took 4 months instead of the 6 – 8 weeks initially contracted. Evidently a lot of turnover in sales personnel, (too bad, my initial guy was the best!). Customer service seriously lacking. Will mention, however, they did give me a small discount for my inconvenience. The end result was a nice product.

Discovering this store was such a pleasant surprise. They have a huge selection of high-​quality furniture and home décor items that suit a wide variety of styles, from trendy modern to classic Texan. Staff was very friendly and helpful in ordering my two leather recliners. They were more than happy to accommodate my special request for a specific stitching color to contrast the leather that I chose. Prices were also very reasonable throughout the store, and I definitely plan on returning to pick up some decorative items for my home. Highly recommended checking this business out!

Tons of options! When it comes to couches etc, you’re not looking at what they have in stock. You’re looking at various styles, fabrics, and leathers. They will then make your CUSTOM piece (s) based on your choices. This is NOT one of those places that have stock in back nor at a warehouse. You’re also not buying anything that’s made overseas. Everything they make is done right here in the USA and should be of much better quality! And they «provide a warranty on our pieces of furniture for as long as you own them!»
With custom comes cost but if you’re already able to spend $ 1000 – 2000 on a leather couch (for example), then you might want to consider spending up to 50% more to get a custom, quality piece to meet your needs. If not, go back to the other (big box style) stores around town that have ‘leather’ furniture. You may or may not get the 100% all top grain that TLI provides. «In addition, we use hardwood frames and steel springs in our suspension that we guarantee for as long as you own our product and that includes ‘in-​home’ service.» So, you get what you pay for. If you’re looking to keep nice, well-​built furniture for a long time, then you might want to spend a little more to get what works for you.
Don’t let the size of their store stop you from dropping in to check them out. Their showroom footprint is small compared to the number of furniture pieces they have. I suggest you let them greet you, ask to first walk the entire store (alone perhaps) and then go get them to talk about what you need and want. They’ll try to match your style/​taste, room situation, color choices, etc. Remember, you’re not looking for ‘the’ couch — you’re just choosing a style, a size, a color, etc. It’s quite different from the box store ‘here are the exact pieces we sell’ type of showroom.
Now here’s why I’m writing this detailed review. My folks wanted to get their (first ever) leather couch as they were redesigning the living room. Mom wanted a not-​over-​complicated contemporary look with a color choice that’d match the paint and accent colors that she already had in mind. She brought in her color swatches for comparison. My Dad’s not a small guy and (being in his early 80’s) can get lost in a couch if he sinks down too much. So to help make sure he’d have an easier time of getting off the couch, we opted for firm cushions for both the seat and back. See, with a custom couch, they let you choose to seat firmness (I think they had three levels) and you can mix/​match as needed on the seats versus the backs. Who knew?! And since my folks had room for a longer couch and we often have a good number of family over for holidays etc, we had them make it a four (4) cushion couch. Yeah, it comfortably seats four normal size adults. Finding a decent 4-​seater at any furniture store is *very* difficult. Oh, and another positive point is that the seats and backs are individual cushions. So if you stain or rip one, you can get it replaced without having to get an entire new couch. That’s hard to find on a lot of the stuff at other stores. In the end, the custom (built in the USA!) couch was ready in about five (5) weeks — well worth the wait.
Want matching or coordinating pieces? Again, you have just about every option — ottomans, chairs, love seats, sleepers, sectionals, recliners, and more. And they have other pieces as well such as bookshelves, desks, end tables, etc. If I had the extra money myself, I wouldn’t bought the matching recliner for them. It was soooooooo comfortable. It had a solid leg/​foot setup (so that little ones can’t fall through), it swiveled, it rocked (literally), and even has a power lift option (for seniors/​disabled). Expensive? Sure. But it’d be the best chair/​recliner in your house.
Standard delivery was going to be $ 125 but I asked if we might pick it up ourselves. Since they use a 3^rd party delivery service, we were able to pick it up from them but still had to pay about $ 35 to cover delivery from San Antonio (I believe). Either way, it was nice to have the option.
Their web site could stand to be re-​done a bit; it’s just a little odd how pieces are displayed, etc. And they have so many varieties, it’s hard for me to even figure out how they could make it better. But, they’re also not a big box furniture store so they likely don’t have the biggest web/​IT bugdet.
Before and after the purchase, I had good back-​n-​forth emails and phone calls with our salesman Stacy Grant. He may also be the manager; I just don’t recall.
I’d like to give 4−½ stars … ½ point deduction for cost. But I also understand that a company like this with a custom product has to charge a higher price; it’s business … and the only way you can stay in it.
And to finish this review on one last positive note, Stacy had a *really* good chocolate pie delivered to my folks’ house as a ‘thank you.’ Who doesn’t love pie?! That’s just a final touch on the excellent customer service we received.

Well worth a visit — we haven’t purchased yet, but the showroom is a fascinating mixture of leather furniture from the classic to the quirky, and the many unique objets d’art sitting around are fun — this is not your dad’s leather furniture store. Quality looks good — prices are pricey. Sales staff are good about leaving you alone to browse.
