I’ve had a great experience with Elva and the team at N. Lamar Couch Potatoes! I bought a bed and frame, and had it delivered. I’m delighted with the quality and speed of delivery, plus they put everything together for me. When I had a slight issue with the bed frame, they swapped the piece out — easy peasy!
I’ve seen the mattress I bought on Overstock for slightly cheaper, but it was well worth the extra $ 100 or so to A. buy local, B. get personal attention and have a piece swapped out when it was wrong, and C. have the guys come and set the bed up for me.

Go here and ask for Elva! She’s straight up, no nonsense, and has superior taste. While I had done my own research beforehand, she was able to give clarity to my décor direction. Not only did she help me find what I needed, but she was honest with me about every selection’s positives and negatives. Now I will only make major furniture purchases with Elva!

BE ADVISED: You can get the same furniture online cheaper (in my case Wayfair). The sales guy was friendly. But when I found the same sofa online for 100 dollars cheaper they would not match it.

Got a sofa from here and it’s great. The customer service was awesome and the transaction was fast. The owner helped us out and he was very hands on. He even helped us load it. Over all great experience and I’m looking forward to buying my next set here.

My husband and I ordered a sofa from this outlet and have had a wonderful experience. The customer service when we arrived at the outlet was great. We purchased a Signature Design by Ashley Rectangle Table with Two Benches and a Chaise End Sectional for our home. We are very happy with both purchases and the entire process. . I did a quick search before we made our purchases and it was much less expensive even with delivery/​shipping charges! We prefer to buy local and I highly recommend Austin’s Couch Potatoes Outlet on North Lamar. Brian, the owner, and Saul were very helpful and friendly. Brian was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his business. The delivery guys called us twice to confirm and arrived on time. We’ll be back!

I decided to buy a sofa in this place after running everyone, a looked around for a bit and a sales women start to chat with me like I was her sister, nothing offensive but the first question she asked was «where are you from?» I was dumb to give her the answer, right? But certainly nothing professional like «how can I help you?, «are you looking for something in particular?» I told her I am looking for a sofa and I started searching myself for the sofa, no one to help since that place is an open area you can walk around yourself and start brainstorm about your new furniture. To get approved it was quick, no credit check, they are already self judging your credit as awful by making you pay for more than 3 months with interest that will be twice as the amount you see on the tag.
You don’t pay them you pay a financial service, just like when you buy a car.
They get you excited and ready to go but when I asked 100 times that I wanted to be delivered they took forever to figure it out.
It was a easy sell: I need a couch, I like this one, this color here is my SS and my Bank Card. Approved!
When you get your papers back you see you need to pay weekly or whatever form you want to pay you need to call a certain number and figure with the bank out how to pay in 3 months with no interest.
Plus you need to put a down payment of $ 45.00
Once you get your receipt and all straight out. They added $ 89 in the bill after a while. Took forever!!!
I asked the lady when the delivered will be set she mentioned Wednesday or Thursday since those are the days to be delivered in my area, once I left the store the sales lady asked me bring me clients — I know a lot of people believe me — Tuesday and Wednesday here it is still no call and no delivered.
5 days passed — I called Friday and asked I have purchased a couch and still waiting to know when it will be delivered. No answer, apparently she couldn’t find me on the system, she couldn’t get my name right and she asked me for a sale purchase and the she gave me the information that Tuesday they will call me to get the delivered on Wednesday. Today is Tuesday at 6:20pm I called then at 5pm and the sweet boy on the operator said «your couch is here» and I responded: so you guys suppose to call me and let me know the delivery is for tomorrow right? Well, the schedule people will delivered on Friday or Saturday I can schedule now. I complaint and he told me the schedule people will call me in an hr — it is been an hr and a half and no call and no couch and my payment is going to be deducted from my bank account on the 10^th and still no couch. Let’s call again…
…I just get off of the phone with a gentleman and he said the delivered people will called me tonight by 8pm to schedule a delivered for tomorrow… We will see.
Alright! Is 7pm and they called to let me know they will delivered from 1−4pm.
In any circumstances I have been mad or raising my voice. But YET…
Is this real? is this professional? Is this the kind of customers services you want for yourself? Employees should all be in the same page. I wonder if my couch will be delivered in a whole piece after this post. To be continue this review…
