The Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT) connects and empowers educators and parents to meet the unique needs of gifted and talented individuals through awareness, advocacy and action.
TAGT offers a number of live and online learning options for parents and educators, as well as recognition of excellence with scholarships and awards.
History
Established in 1978.
Since its first meeting in 1977, TAGT has held an Annual Conference, along with other training opportunities which now include an annual Leadership Conference and a number of Parent Conferences. TAGT also produces TEMPO, a quarterly newsletter that has evolved to become a peer-reviewed journal on topics in G/T education.
