Great salon and service and one of the few open on Sunday. I had a great pedicure and enjoyed the first time visit after bad experiences at other local salons. The price is good and they don’t try and sell you on additional services which is nice so you can just just relax and get the service you asked for … Will definitely be back

Unfortunately I thought this place was nice the first time I got my nails done. I went in a second time I told her I wanted the fake acrylic nails and she said «okay, sit down 3^rd chair» so I did and she was taking my old nail polish off and I wanted to clarify that I wanted acrylic nails and she told me «no no i only can do manicure» she kept saying no and then told me it would be an hour wait if i wanted that! I told her «I will go somewheres else then» she seem to not give a crap and says «come tomorrow». I ended up going to Lakeline Mall had a 10min wait and they did a fantastic job!

First time here today! I came to get a pedi but was hoping I could get mani/​pedi yet still be out in an hour. They totally did nails and toes together in 40 min!
For me, being a widow and having a daughter, I don’t treat myself too much so their prices were a little strap for me but my guess is that $ 58 is pretty normal for mani French tip with shellac and pedicure…
Such nice ladies! Ill be back hope they run a deal soon and ill see how these new nails and toes work ;)

I went to this place today to get a fill and pedi. The pedi was fine, however the fill was horrible. I don’t think the lady knew what she was doing. I kept having to tell her how to do my own nails! I finally gave up and decided it was a loss to try and explain it but rather let her finish and go some where else to get them fix or redone all together.
If your looking for a new place to get your nails done, do not come here! It should be only a pedicure place and not allowed to do nails.

Ummm ok, so I was looking for a solution to my breaking nails and I finally decided to get acrylics tips and what nots… So needless to say I was an acrylic virgin at that point and didn’t know what to expect, but i was grateful i found a place nearby on a Sunday.
Chen took care of me, she was nice but sometimes short when I couldn’t exactly express in terms she would understand what I needed. She proceeded to «build» my nails, did her thing, but when I was pointing out my cuticles, she told me she doesn’t do that and I should have asked earlier, really? I thought when you get a manicure that takes care of that?
She also drilled deep into my nail bed, where they were later painful… she cut the skin at one point as well, didn’t even bother to clean it up either. I wasn’t impressed…
To wrap things up I walked away questioning myself if that was what I really wanted.
The next week, I went back to my usual salon, i had them take everything off and restart from scratch, the difference was amazing, my nails looked 20 times better and mostly cleaner, well groomed, no nicks and cuts, and someone taking care of me without expecting me to have all the answers.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone getting their nails painted or filed. All my nails peeled and chipped due to being over filed and buffed. My cuticles were swollen and bleeding by far the worst place I’ve ever been.

Every time I have come here for a pedicure it has always been: clean. lots of mags to read. great service. fast. affordable. My only complaint would be the ladies don’t always speak in English, this makes me nervous they are talking crap about my feet – and insecure, haha. Other than that, it is quite relaxing and compared to other places I have been in town-​the nail polish lasts longer after I get a pedicure here.

Awesome — Judy has been doing my nails for almost 10 years now. She’s the owner and she is THE BEST. Please make an appointment, don’t expect to just walk in and book with her. She’s always super busy, but make an appointment and you can get in. Also wonderful with pedicures, Im super sensitive, she’s the only one I will go to.

I started going to this nail salon 3 or so years ago when I moved to the area, then had to find a new one when I moved even further North for a while. As soon as I moved back to the area, I had no doubts of where I would go to get my pampering habit of pedicures. The salon is always clean, the staff is always really nice, and they make sure that your wait is never too long.

I have been visiting here for over 3 years and am consistently pleased. Judy does my nails and she is fabulous, but you do have to make an appointment with her. She is very busy but can usually get you in the same day or very next day.
As for pedicures, Chen is the best! She really takes her time and the massage is not rushed. There have been a few times that I have «cheated» on her and gone somewhere else because it was a Sunday and I didn’t want to make the drive in from Cedar Park. I am always disappointed and mad at myself when I do so. I keep going back to them for more. They really are the best.

This salon has gone down in there service and quality. The salon seems more run down and less clean than it used to be. I will not be returning.

Solar Nails & Spa is a great local nail salon in North Austin. I have been going here for over a year and have received consistently good service and great pedicures (I’m not a mani girl, so I can only speak for the pedis).
I always ask for Chen. She’s sweet and she always remembers my name and what we’ve talked about in the past (although she keeps asking me when I’m going to get pregnant and have babies — a question I hear often enough from my mother!). Nevertheless, Chen is wonderful and gives fantastic feet/​leg massages and a perfect pedi every time.
