On a 56-day bike trip from Sofia, Bulgaria to London, England, John Hazlewood lived the sharing experience staying at people’s homes, sharing meals, rides and internet access. From this experience, John visualizes the changes coming upon us all, to share our assets, expertise and knowledge with the greater community.

An early pioneer of the Internet, led the development of a web-based travel reservation system launched May 1995 which was the first of its kind. Founded INTRANSCO in 1996, an e-commerce travel company where I spearheaded its development subsidiary located in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 1998, in parallel with the e-commerce travel initiative, I began Intransit Solutions, a Y2K Services and IT staffing division in order to take advantage of the technical resources in Bulgaria and grew the company to over 100 staff, developing numerous software applications at significantly reduced cost.
