Sarah Senter, LAc graduated with a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from AOMA Institute of Integrative Medicine, with post-​graduate studies in China at the Chengdu University of TCM. She has been practicing acupuncture in central Austin since 2006. After working in a fast-​paced environment and seeing hundreds of patients each month for years, Sarah has now opened her home office in the Hyde Park neighborhood, where she can spend ample time with each client and explore the root causes of imbalance with their health. Sarah, simply put, is an angel armed with a crazy amount of knowledge in her respective field. She’s always very in tune with your body’s status from the minute you walk in her office.
Things like looking at my tongue and asking me if I have lower back pain, which I had. The list goes on and on. She knows her stuff, I’ve experienced great outcomes after each session. I need to get in to see her more!
For the skeptics, Chinese medicine has been around for thousands of years-​there is something to this. P. S. The needles are not a factor, barely feel anything. Go see this woman!

As a lifetime allergy sufferer who refuses to leave Austin, I have tried every possible western medicine allergy treatment under the sun (allergy shots for 6 years, nasal sprays, RX and OTC meds, netti pot etc). When my allergies continued even past spring I knew I needed to go another route. I was referred to Sarah through a friend and booked my first appointment feeling slightly skeptical but hopeful.
I met with Sarah and we discussed my allergy history and possible treatment options. Sarah was friendly, down to earth, and had a wealth of knowledge that she shared with me in a way that was easy to understand. I started on NAET and acupuncture treatments with various supplements. Sarah also provided dietary recommendations to reduce some of the allergy side effects I was experiencing.
After a few weeks I could really start to see a difference. Sarah was able to figure out the right combination of treatments, and switched out the supplements with some suggested Chinese herbs and that’s when I really started feeling my best. For the first time in my life, I could breathe without a stuffed up nasal passage. I could sleep through the night without having to get up and blow my nose. I could go outside and enjoy a day at the greenbelt and not feel horrible the next day. I am now a true believer in the power of eastern medicine and acupuncture.
I cannot recommend Sarah enough! She is responsive, flexible with scheduling, and just a really warm person in general. I look forward to each acupuncture session and the relaxation and relief I gain from each one. I just wish I had started going to Sarah sooner!

I play golf two to three times a week and started to have knee, shoulder and lower back problems. A business friend recommended Sarah and after consulting with my primary care internal specialist decided to give her a try. What a Great experience!
Sarah, is a caring, knowledgable, and effective practitioner of this timeless healing art. My pains in the aforementioned sentences were eliminated and Sarah, who is also a Nutritionist, put me on a wellness regimen to insure a better quality of life.
Two final thoughts, my last physical with my primary care doctor was excellent and my golf game is better than ever.

Anyone looking for a full package in natural medicine this is your gal. She is most thoughtful and proficient with her treatments. She always makes me feel comfortable and supported. I love that she also includes a whole food wellness side to her practice with hand crafted herbal teas, broths and more. And that she shares her insight and recipes on her blog medicine kitchen. She does not just stop at needles to help you get on your way. Currently we are doing a fertility program together and I am very impressed with her attention and knowledge. Use her for anything! I sleep better after a treatment and pay more attention to what I take in and do throughout my day after being under her care.
