I booked a non refundable flight to Holland and seconds after questioned my passport status only to find out it expired in 5 days. So I found myself less than 3 weeks from my scheduled trip without a valid passport. First of all, don’t let your passport expire but if you do and need assistance I highly recommend this company. I took my forms and checks and everything needed to renew to them and I was in and out in of their office around 15 minutes and that included them double checking my forms and giving advice on them and taking a new passport photo. I paid for 12 days and got a call 7 days later letting me know that my passport was ready. The state department said they were processing expedited passports with at least a 3 week turn around time so couldn’t risk that and most importantly was so not willing to risk something that important going through the unreliable mail. They don’t mail your final passport — rather you pick it up at their office so you avoid that risk too. I promised if they got it back to me in time I would give them major shout outs on social media so am following through with my promise because they followed through for me and I am at ease and am 1.5 weeks away from my trip. Highly recommend their services and appreciate the great customer service I received.

This place is so fast and great! I walked in, told them what I needed and they helped me get my passport. I signed up for their slowest service but got my passport in 5 business days! Yes, its a bit more expensive but they say you always pay for procrastination. Friendly, professional staff! Would recommend if you are in a bind!

Okay I’m not sure what’s up with the bad reviews but this place is awesome. I’m flying to cabo on a private plan in 16 days and just realized my passport expired 3 months ago. I don’t have a travel itinerary since it’s a private plane but that did not end up being an issue. Came in at 8:45am, brought in my expired passport, id, filled out the application, snapped the picture right here in the office and boom, was out by 9am. It’s Wednesday and I’m getting my passport Friday morning. Could it be more easy? Totally worth the courier fee to save time and headache.

I was hesitant to use them because of the few negative reviews but I am glad I did. Jerica was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I was told
over the phone all of the charges and what I would need to bring. They were fast, efficient, and honest. The only thing I did not know was that I would have to go to the county clerks office for a sworn affidavit. Make sure and plan around 4 hours for the whole process because going to the clerks office takes some time. If you are a first time applicant or getting a child passport, you will go to the clerks office. I chose the expedited one day passport service because we were leaving within a week and I had lost my daughters passport. Her passport arrived on time and everything was very smooth. I will use them in the future.

I have used this company three times in the past. They tend to put you on hold without even speaking to you. The hold cuts off and you are often disconnected. They are often rude and abrupt. Not the level of professionalism I expect when dealing with sensitive documents. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Avoid this place. A few years ago I used this business to expedite a passport. My experience was easy and they were very helpful. Now a few years later I find myself needing a passport ASAP for a mission trip. This morning I called and the gentleman on the phone said they could help me again. Told them I’d come right in. When I arrived I was told that they couldn’t do it and will only do 10 – 14 day ones. So why tell a customer you can and have them come in? Other reviewers were also told misinformation.

It seems like a lot of people had some bad experiences, but mine was great! I misplaced my passport 2 weeks before my trip and after trying my best to get around paying someone to take care of it for me I ended up with this place. They definitely had the most reasonable prices of others in the area. Ruby helped me and she was very friendly and professional. She also took the best passport photo I’ve had! She recommended the 5 – 7 day service which left me getting the passport back at latest the day before my trip. To my surprise it came in 4 days later! I have to say I did show up the moment they opened to make sure my paperwork would go out the same day.
My advice is fill everything out ahead of time and show up EARLY! The county clerk’s office always takes forever and their office was pretty crowded by the time I was done.

The staff is severely lacking in accurate knowledge. The main person is thorough but the rest are not. I needed an expedited name change passport done and it was a difficult process.

Meanwhile I did go to Passport express downtown to get my fingerprinting done ($ 15) for court name change and they were fantastic. They closed at 5 and I arrived at 4:57 in downtown rush traffic. They stayed late and got that done and advised me appropriately and accurately. Better staff, more pleasant to deal with and more knowledgeable for sure. They are recommended by the court office anyhow. Also go to downtown passport office in the court office. They will advise you better and accurately as they did in the first shot to me while getting my name change done. I wouldn’t have to pay this much if I had the right advice from the beginning.

We just received our visas today. Thank you, SameDay Passport & Visas Service!
I am rating the vendor 5-​star because:
–The phone consultation the day prior to when we brought our passports in was very informative. This helped us to get our documentations in an organized fashion. Preparation is truly the key.
–Their office opens on Saturdays. This is a huge plus for those of us who cannot easily get away during business hours.
–When we arrived at the office, the representative handled our case was very patient, kind, professional, and helpful.
–Due to recent changes in regulations, we found out that the forms we completed prior to arriving at their office were inadequate. The representative assisted us to fill out all the forms on the spot, printed everything out (no additional fee) with each piece of required documentation attached in a professional and organized manner.
–It took only 5 business days for us to get all of our visas back without any issues, even though we were expecting 10 business days.
–The office called us when the passports with visas were ready for pick-​up. We were very pleased with the results!
–Overall, no surprises in the entire process, except that we received our visas a week before the expected time window. I am very picky when it comes to paperwork, and this vendor definitely exceeded my expectations. In addition, the fees charged were very competitive.

Their phone manner lacks a lot to be desired, but they can sure take a good passport photo. They’ve also helped me get family passports in a hurry in the past, so I shouldn’t be too negative.

I was in a crunch to get a visa and had spoken over the phone with them about it. They assured me there was nothing to worry about and that it would all work out. Upon arriving in person, I was surprised to see how rinky dink it felt inside and started to get a little worried.
Problem #1– they messed up my photo for the visa– had to come back later that day in a different colored shirt.
Problem #2– my visa was delayed (after paying $ 376 for an expedited 2 – 3 day service), missed my $ 2000 flight. They washed their hands of the problem and blamed it on the consulate, offering no advice as to how to remedy the situation.
They failed to alert me of the problem early enough in the day to fix the situation, and upon asking that question they responded, «I didn’t know your visa didn’t come in– I didn’t check.»
These aren’t the kind of people you want to trust in a passport crunch. If you have a good 6 months to wait around for them, by all means, give them some business, but go to professionals if you can.

Sounds like reviews at this place are hit or miss, but I imagine this inconsistency is present throughout the «expedited passport» industry. Regardless, here’s my experience with these guys from mid 2010.
I was initially going to go through the USPS to ship off my passport application, but even their expedited time quoted 2 – 3 weeks, so I was told by a USPS rep I might want to look into going to Houston to get mine more quickly. This wasn’t an option for me, so I instead googled around and found services that offered expedited passport applications and ultimately found this place. I checked prices across several businesses, and their «5 business day» fee seemed most reasonable (less than $ 90, IIRC). I did all my research and gathered all necessary documents (DS11, birth certificate, itinerary, driver’s license, and $$) and after a brief trip to the county clerk’s office I dropped everything off late Tuesday afternoon. Fast forward to today (Friday), and the passport’s already back! Way quicker than I expected, and decent price. Highly recommend this place as long as you’re familiar with the process ahead of time!

These guys came through when I needed them. Lost my passport and needed a replacement fast, they told me what to bring, the cost, and fiilled out the forms I needed. I paid for the 10 — 14 day service, and was nervous because my cruise left within 12, but they assured me it would be done in 10 days. In fact, they got the passport to me in 7 days! Big worry off my mind! Special thanks Marsei at the Austin office forbeing a point of contact on the status of my passport and providing excellent service. Only thing I can say negative is that this service is expensive, but when you are in a crunch, this place comes through for you.

Absolutely awful. I paid for the 7 day service, and apparently that’s just a suggestion. I had to call them on the 9^th day to find out what the hell was going on, which is when they finally informed me that the passport agency wanted another $ 80. They couldn’t tell me why or what for. Just that what I had already paid for the cost of the passport and service wasn’t enough after all. I was livid, but needed my damn passport so I paid it. I ended up getting my passport in 2 weeks instead of 7 days. They ruined my travel plans and took longer to get me my passport than if I had just done it myself for cheaper! Thieves, liars and criminals here. go elsewhere.

The WORST service I have ever dealt with!!!
I realized the Wednesday before my trip to the Caribbean that my passport was expired. I frantically jumped online to find out if there was anyway to get a passport renewed before my flight on Sunday. I found SameDay Passport off of N. Lamar and rushed up there to get it done. The building was sketchy but I didn’t have many options so I went in and paid almost $ 500 with the promise of receiving my passport by Friday at 10am. Friday morning I jumped in my car and was heading up there when I thought to call to double check it was there (since I live about 30mins away). The lady who answered informed me that it didn’t arrive and didn’t know anything else. WHAT??? I needed answers, so I asked for numbers for someone that could tell me what was going on. The lady (I believe her name is Ruby) gave me the run around for a few minutes and then finally gave me the # to the passport call center. The # she gave me was basically one to keep me busy and distracted for a bit. They could only tell me that my passport was in processing. I called Ruby back and she fed me the BS line that my passport had been flagged but wouldn’t tell me why. I knew there was nothing in my background to keep me from renewing my passport so I was very confused but she wouldn’t explain any details. I asked her to find out more and call me back so I could take care of it a possible still go on my trip, this was at 12:30pm. At 4:56pm Friday, she calls to tell me that the picture which THEY TOOK, had been rejected due to my shoulders showing. If you are going to charge someone to take a passport picture, shouldn’t you be required to know the rules for one??? I went in Saturday morning and retook the picture then finally received my 24hr passport on the Wednesday after my trip was suppose to start (one week later, thats not 24hrs?). I tried to reschedule my flight but by then hurricane Irene had closed down the airports where I was headed. It was too late, my vacation was RUINED =(When I asked about a refund for the 24hr processing fee of $ 150, Ruby once again gave me the run around. Very RUDE, SHADY staff at this location. I would NOT recommend ANYONE using this location. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE people!!!

After struggling to find a place that takes baby passport photos (had some rejected), SameDay came through. Just wish there was a sign on the outside.

Horrible service! The people are very rude and I lost $ 400 because they shredded documentation.

They are awesome and well worth the money, when you need your passport and you need it now! The girls who work there are helpful, kind and do their job well. I highly recommend them.

If you are not in desperate need for a passport ON SHORT NOTICE (within two weeks), DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! Just go to the county clerks office and they do everything there for you. SameDay Passport of course does not tell you this because they are in the business of making money, not giving good advice. They misled me to believe that only the post office, who are very backed up, would be able to process my passport request. THIS IS NOT TRUE, and SameDay Passport DOES NOT GIVE REFUNDS!!!

Here’s a life lesson for all you international travelers out there: CHECK THE TIMEFRAME REQUIREMENTS ON YOUR PASSPORT BEFORE LEAVING FOR VACATION. My passport was about two months away from expiration (yes, I knew it was going to expire fairly soon, but hadn’t bothered to check the exact date). Then, I went to do a check of the ID requirements for my upcoming vacation in Europe, only to discover that they require your passport to be valid for 3 months after the trip is over. Stupid government bureaucracy. What’s the point of having an expiration date if you make dumb rules that essentially render that expiration date useless and invalid? I don’t get it.
But enough with my rant The point is that I was freaking out thinking that my vacation was going to be completely destroyed, until I found SameDay Passport. They were able to get me in for an appointment right away, and turned around my new passport in 48 hours. Vacation saved.
The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that this service is expensive (it cost several hundred dollars to get my new passport on such short notice, but I guess that’s probably to be expected under the circumstances).
I sincerely hope none of you other Unilocalers have a need for this service, but if you end up in a bind, I feel confident that SameDay Passport could help you too.
