I’m going with the «meh I’ve experienced better» haha. The guys were really great… here’s my but… SLOW. My 90 year old grandma can move faster. They did take 2 hours which was awesome but I don’t appreciate movers who count the drive time as part of the move… that seems rather scandalous to me. $ 80 for the time spent in the car to my place and to the new place? I know they only took 1 hour to load and 1 hour to unload so that’s $ 200 and then oh wait $ 80 for us taking our precious time driving… :l YA no thanks on hiring ya’ll again!
Yes they did scratch something that costs a lot but meh. I can cover that up with a coaster or a lamp or a shiny object! haha.

worst moving experience ever. completely BROKE the top off my nightstand and SCRATCHED the front of it which they tried covering with a permanent marker!!! unbelievable!!! i understand that things like this happen but they were not honest about this and i had to discover it myself.
i’ve tried calling them several times to get my nightstand reimbursed, and left messages and they haven’t even had the courtesy to call me back. these guys are scum!!! don’t trust this moving company.

Quality Movers also came to our rescue when our moving plans changed unexpectedly. Because the move turned out to be last minute, we weren’t completely packed when the movers arrived. The two Richards (Richard and his son, Richard) were awesome! They worked around me while I packed frantically, and they were quick to give me a joke and encouragement.
We have tons of large, heavy furniture. They handled everything with extreme care and even called in a 3^rd m. When we arrived at our new home, they were happy to help me arrange furniture (a few times) as well as lay down area rugs.

I can’t say enough good things about the fellas at Quality Moving. We had a nightmare situation and basically ended up tossing all our plans and looking for a last minute move (needed out of our house that afternoon!!!) and Ben and his crew came to our rescue. Not only were they available at the extreme last minute, but they stayed late (beyond 10pm) to ensure we were out, and then were back again the next morning to get the rest.
I swear, if it weren’t for their friendly crew I’d have lost my marbles at this move. Richard always had a quick smile or friendly joke to lighten the mood, and they worked carefully and tirelessly.
Then, after storing our stuff for us for 2 nights, they helped us get moved back in, another transition that went well into the night.
All in all, there aren’t enough stars for me to rate these guys.
For all you picky people, stuff happens! You try moving a 4 bedroom house with 13 years of junk in it in one evening. Everything, however, was wrapped and carefully packed, and my prized wood floors look as great after the move as they did before.

Quick update — Ben (the owner) contacted me today to explain their moving philosophy:
«From my past experience we seem to have more damages because its hard to handle and move with a pad on it. Once its on the truck every piece we pad and wrap. I have always made it my goal to take the best care of every customer { of the 4 hundred plus moves we do a year we have around 5 minor damages per year] Also I am sorry there was dirt tracked in to your house. We would like to get that taken care of for you if you call our office we will send someone out to clean it for you.»
I am glad he reached out with a personal note — always great to see companies who truly care about customer experience (+1 star!). Like I said, the move went off without a hitch, and they did ultimately wrap the furniture before putting it on the truck itself. I also appreciate his offer to clean our carpets (though I don’t intend to take him up on that — the dirt was a minor issue in the grand scheme of things).

I have moved a lot. Rarely have I had so many moves w/​just one company — and Quality Moves was the company I ended up choosing to make 3 moves in Austin for me. The unfortunate part is that MANY mistakes and pains occurred during that time — and it makes me sad because I like Ben, I like Richard (the mover that always ended up doing the heavy lifting) — but too many mistakes were made to give them as many stars as I would like to give based purely on personality.
The reason that I originally chose QM was because Ben answered the phone, was personable, and the price was right. I moved from my apartment in Austin to a storage unit, and everything went off w/​o a hitch (for the most part). Until I had my stuff delivered to the new place… then there were scratches and there was even a chunk missing from one of the shelves in my bookshelf. Really frustrating. When I brought up these issues, they were shrugged off and I think that I let them off the hook for the most part. Then when they moved my stuff from this place into a moving van, they gave me a SMALL discount and they then ended up scratching the hardwood floor.
Getting that taken care of was RIDICULOUS. I had to make several calls (the movers told me that they would convey the message, but it was not done). It wasn’t my house (I was staying w/​a friend, and she OWNED the house)… and the fix (which was JUST taken care of, 3 months post-​move) was TERRIBLE. The picture that I saw looked like someone tried to use an eraser, and then put a little shiny stuff over it… but it looks just as scratched as it did when the mover pulled the couch across the floor. Yes, that’s how it was scratched in the first place — which I also find ridiculous. How do you not know to pull a hide-​a-​bed sofa (not light) across the floor? Seriously?
Anyway… those were not the only problems: They were also late the 2^nd and 3^rd times. Moving is stressful enough… and dealing with people that are late doesn’t work for me. Not a top-​choice in movers… that’s for sure.

I couldn’t have asked for better movers. Ben and Quality Moving moved me from my apt in Austin to a storage unit and a month later from my storage unit to Chicago. They were absolutely amazing and did a wonderful job. They were friendly, courteous, professional and the price was right! They go above and beyond and far exceeded my expectations. I will recommend them to anyone I know that needs movers. So impressed and so incredibly thankful for these guys!

I called these guys after seeing the reviews here, and I’d use them again. I had a multi-​stop move: duplex, storage unit 1 (outdoor), storage unit 2 (bigger, indoor, elevator), new house with driveway too steep to get their truck up, and Rick & Mac handled it all in the heat of a July afternoon, smiling & bantering the entire time. Their in-​town rate was $ 95/​hr with a minimum of 2, and they got done in 5 including running stuff up the driveway. They ran a little late getting to the first stop, but Ben at their dispatch number kept me informed about it. I didn’t have them pack, and all appliances and beds were already dismantled. They made the job easy, which is all I look for in movers!

So I took all of the 5 star movers from Unilocal and then did a price comparison of each of them. Quality was the most affordable which I have to admit sometimes makes me leary… but in this case it was nothing but good!
They have a 2 hour minimum at $ 98 (ish) an hour but they don’t charge you a gas fee which is almost unheard of. Also, your 2 hours don’t start until they arrive at your apartment. If you are like me and constantly moving from apartment to apartment, odds are they can move all of your stuff in the 2 hour window.
Now let’s move on to the guys they sent… Mike and Eddie (I think? I might be getting his name wrong) but they were great. They were polite, respectful and as a single woman I would have had no second thoughts about working with them alone. It was a really hot day so they took a few breaks that were absolutely needed, but they were thoughtful enough to say «We are going to take a few breaks to stay hydrated, but don’t worry it isn’t counting against your time.»
I really like them and would use them again.

Great Moving Experience! I hate moving and they made my move nice and easy, and they were not a bunch of crack heads like the last company I used before. Highly recommended!!!

We have used these guys for two office moves so far. They do a great job and will also pack your office for you. We had some fairly horrible experiences with computers and other items getting stolen when we used two other moving companies in the past, so I’m glad we have someone we can trust with our equipment. We will be using them again the next time we move.

I have used Quality Moves twice and every time they just make me sigh! Sigh of relieve ! ! ! I know when the team shows up that everything is going to be taken care of down to the last detail. One job was, well lets just say it was particularly challenging. The crew was very careful and always had a great attitude. These folks are great! Thanks Quality Moves LLC!

We are repeat customers of this company, having used them four times now in the last five years. We have used them both by the job and by the hour depending on the nature of the move. Most recently we hired them by the hour to move into our new home. Brad and Scotty were extremely pleasant and good-​natured, and worked extremely hard for the entirety of nine hours, without breaking or scratching a thing. They had a few challenges to overcome, including a complicated bed disassembly and an oversized fridge and entertainment center, which of course needed to go up a staircase with a 90-​degree angle! They expertly removed doors from hinges and doors from the fridge in order to accomplish the task. Everything was reassembled without a glitch. The whole job was also very affordable, coming in well under quotes from other local movers.
I highly recommend this company, and know you will not be disappointed with their service!

They did a great job, the office staff gave us a correct price and the movers were nice too. I will call them again.
