Premiere Events

First of all when I picked up I was in a big fat hurry… I assume they have this often and didn’t feel like, as a customer I needed to slow down for them.
The lady (owner in guessing) bent her knees and with her finger gestured me into her office.
Then she asked me to sit down a number of times when I already expressed my urgency.
I rented piping to separate my booth from others at an event. Was not user friendly, came with no instructions to put together and weighed at least 100 lbs each base.
When I expressed how we weren’t able to use the bulky equipment they rented to me, nor did we even use the linens, I got a «sorry mam, you took them.»
It’s incredible to me how people honestly believe thats how you keep existing business.
If they cared anything at all about my business, they would’ve made it right and refunded me.
You didn’t lose money this time, but you lost it in the long run, because I will never rent from you again.
I say your equipment didn’t help me out, you tell me tough luck.
Not customer service.
Greedy and not caring about customers.
Not good business.

they were easy to work with in the beginning. they gave me a great price quote so i booked them. 2 weeks before the wedding, they said they gave me the wrong price quote and to receive the right product, i had to pay $ 800 more. thankfully, my maid of honor helped me straightened out in the end and everything turned out well. Just very stressful weeks before my wedding. lots of crying.

I wanted to personally thank the team at Première for doing an amazing job setting up, being flexible with our small venue space and the times (The Sanctuary at the Amala Foundation), and working with us on the changes that occurred throughout the planning.
We changed our minds multiple times due to the small event space and having to «flip» the venue with chairs and tables. Abbey at Première helped us work out possible solutions, let us keep the tables overnight to help keep the cost down and in general was not just a salesperson, but a confidant in our wedding.
When I got to the venue, everything was perfectly set up and I didn’t have to worry about the tables at all! Thank you so much, Première.

Première Events is SO helpful. They encourage you to come in and view the décor in the warehouse as many times as you want. They are OK with changes, as long as they have the inventory. And if they don’t, they help you come up with a solution. I will use Première Events for all my future events!

Première Events has some of the best event décor and tent inventory in Austin. They have saved the day for numerous corporate events I have planned and always show up with a smile! Janira, Ken and Delores are always a pleasure to work with during the planning process and during event execution. Trace at Premier was so great! We got married on April 18 2015 and he was not only very responsive to all our inquiries, but he was super organized and knowledgeable about all the rental items! He helped everything come together nicely. We couldn’t have had our beautiful event without them and would definitely recommend the Première Events team!

I’ve been planning a pretty elaborate corporate holiday party, and have been working with different event companies throughout the process. In my disappointment with the recommended event company I had been «working with», I came across Première Events and started checking out their website. I was pretty skeptical when I saw the «questions? chat with us live!» box pop up in the corner of my screen, but I figured – why not!
I shot a message out to see if I could start discussing a quote, and before I knew it I was chatting away with a super friendly guy named Trace, getting all of the answers and more that I had been waiting weeks to hear back about from the other company that shall remain nameless.
I was so impressed with his willingness to help, and the fact that he went above and beyond by mocking up a site map, detailing measurements, and giving me super honest pricing options – all within 20 minutes of being on the site!
The sad news is that because of an exclusivity deal with EventCompanyWhoShallNotBeNamed, I am unable to work with Première Events for our event. Regardless, Trace has since acted as a consultant of types, by giving me a few event suggestions even after he knew we wouldn’t be able to give them our business. Such a classy move, and it speaks for the company as a whole.
I hope to work with these guys more in the future, but for now I can attest to their spectacular customer service – something that is a tough find in this space. Thanks again guys and keep up the honest and genuine work!

This is a late post, that should have been done in May.
May 2014, I ordered a toddler table and chairs for my Goddaughters Birthday, from Première Events via Carrie Montoya.
I would like to express how wonderful the service was, and that it was about customer service not customer sale!
Mrs. Montoya not only worked well with me and other friends I have sent, she also seems to work well with her staff members. From everyone I have sent agrees that she has a very warm rapport with everyone she comes in contact with. It is apparent that she clearly enjoys the «people» aspect of her position. Consistently answers the phone with a smile and a friendly hello, skillfully manages all but the most challenging customer situations, and enjoys identifying «out-​of-​the-​box» solutions for clients with special needs.
I will with out a doubt continue to refer your facility and return for my Son’s graduation needs Spring 2015.
Thank you in advance and please enjoy a few photos from my event and Thank you Mrs. Montoya for your creative ideas in setting up the table (over and beyond your job). It will always be a memory in her little heart.

I worked with Abigail for our wedding and rehearsal dinner in April and everything worked out beautifully.
I was doing the planning myself and had no idea where to begin with rentals. When I called Première (at 4:45pm!) Abbey spent an hour on the phone with me helping me to piece together everything I would need. She emailed the quote right after we got off the phone.
I was looking for long dark wood vineyard tables. Though Première did not have enough for my guest count, Abbey spoke to her boss and said that they would be willing to acquire more if necessary. I ended up getting tables from a different rental place because of sizing and style and such, but it was lovely that Première was willing to be so accommodating.
My florist and I spent two hours with Abbey at the show room playing with table setting design… it was fun! Throughout the process I made many changes to my order and called/​emailed with many questions — they were always responsive and polite. Also my venue (Umlauf Sculpture Garden) had a very specific timeline which Première was very good about adhering to.
The only suggestion I would make is that they carry more options for tablecloths in natural fibers. They did have cotton/​linen in a few colors. I am not a fan of polyester tablecloths… But they did have Bengaline-​pattern-​silk ones (probably a poly-​blend) that were pretty good.
Also they sent me a lovely gift card as a thank you! Overall it was a pleasure working with Première. :)

These guys have sales maybe 3 or 4 times a year. Each sale consist of something different: for example in July’s sale will be half off chairs and November’s sales with be 10% off linen.
I’m not sure when the sales are, if they are specific dates each year or randomly selected. Anyway, if you hire a planner they should be well aware of the sales.
We ordered chairs through PPC and saved a lot on budget because we got them on sale. We ended up not using as many chairs as paid for (non refundable) but was able to use the credit towards napkins. Score! We weren’t charged an extra delivery fee for the napkins.
We hired a planner so I didn’t notice any complaints during set up or tear down.

Worst experience possible with this event company. The owner isn’t very nice and doesn’t have an ounce of professionalism.

Working with Alison at Première was very easy! She worked with me over the phone and by email to get early quotes done. After looking into about 5 different options in and around Austin, they were the most flexible and had the most choices for dishes and table cloths. The pricing is pretty close to all the vendors so it was their customer services and wide selection that helped me make the choice.
I went to the show room to finalize the details and she let me take pictures, do a practice table set up and event took pictures for me after that visit and sent them though email. She was always available.
The guys delivered on time and picked up on time. The quality of the items was great. When they ran out of something (flatware) they offered me a better product at the same rate which worked out even better.
My wedding was about 80 people in a residential back yard and they treated me like I was a priority.

Very easy to work with. I kept changing my mind, and Abigail was very accomidating. She was always quick to get back to me with a new quote, and answer all of my questions. I picked up and dropped of the rentals with no hassle.

I used Première Party Central to rent plates, cutlery, linens, and glasses for my November wedding. I was getting married in Austin but planning everything from a different state, so I told Caitlin that I wanted to do absolutely everything over email. She was super responsive and didn’t try to upsell me on anything. When I asked for a discount, she was able to give me 10%. It was still more than I wanted to pay for plates and napkins, but it wasn’t any more expensive than any other place in or near Austin. Everything was delivered to my venue on time and without incident, and the pickup on Monday went smoothly as well. I went over the contract with a fine-​tooth comb and asked a bunch of questions, but they were able to answer everything and it seemed fairly reasonable. Again, more than I wanted to pay, but they seemed to be charging the going rate.

My HOA is planning on organizing a neighborhood event on a weekday night, in a grassy common area. I walked into Premier Event Rental at 11 810 Manchaca Rd. at 4:55pm and there were three employees with their feet up on the desk talking but clearly didn’t want to deal with me 5 minutes to close. So they gave me the number to an associate I needed to call the next day.
This associate, «Carrie,» was short and curt from the moment she answered the phone. I told her i needed 50 chairs for an outdoor event, some tarp and lighting for along the road. It was a painful call because I had to work hard to get her to tell me what she could do, and she grew impatient when I started asking about what kinds of lights they had. When we finally got through that, she told me the company would drop the everything off on the side of the road up to SIX hours before the event, and would be back later the next day to pick it up. Now, my event is from 7:00PM to 10:00PM, so dropping everything off in the street and leaving it there all day, as well as overnight and into the day after is not cool, especially since she reminded me that I am solely responsible for it. ME: «Can you at least come later in the day and drop the stuff off?» Carrie: «No, we have a 6-​hour window for dropping equipment off.» ME: «Really? You’re a mile from my house.» Carrie: «Sir, it is your responsibility, not ours. Most people hire security to watch the equipment.» ME: «Um, we’re an HOA, not a promotional company. That’s the best you can do?» And so, the conversation went downhill, She didn’t even email the quote as she said she would at the beginning of the call… not that I would ever use them. It’s just another example of horrendous customer service at its finest. I don’t even think she’s aware of her problems, and sadly, I’m sure her boss doesn’t either.
I then called Austin’s World of Rentals at 5812 Trade Center Dr., and the experience was like night and day. They were COURTEOUS, ACCOMMODATING, and PROACTIVE.

Welcome to our nightmare. We used Première for our outdoor wedding last month to rent the tent, tables, chairs, linens, the bar as well as to handle our lighting and hang decorations in the tent.
The customer service and the actual vendor items we received were deplorable. Emily was late for our meeting (which we had flown in for from California) and she actually left in the middle it… to go to lunch. She passed us off to someone who couldn’t answer any questions and yet expected us to sign the contract and put down our deposits. Oh… but she didn’t leave before she tried to upsell every. single. item. It was only by following along on my iPad that we even got to see the prices. She would hide items and pretend that two most expensive chair or table styles were the only ones available. We called her out on it again and again. Then she would pull the «ohhhh…I didn’t think that cheap one was your style.» Oh Emily… I love your Sales technique: shame ‘em and sell ‘em…but we are all adults here and that shit doesn’t work on me. Show me everything and let me decide what my style is. Also, I’m not going to take style advice from a girl in a bump-​it and stripper heels.
And it was downhill from there. They tacked on fees — including charging us double for the same item, which luckily we caught before signing the contract. They re-​neged on the «10%» discount that our wedding planner was supposed to get. They changed the tent without notifying us and showed up with THE WRONG TENT on the day of setup. They made promises they couldn’t keep — like the lighting and the décor. We were stressed right up until hours before our event.
Their screwups resulted in a cascade of problems from the other vendors. The second lighting crew we hired (once Première decided they couldn’t hang lights) couldn’t hang in the tent they sent.
In short, they made our wedding an absolute nightmare. Luckily they did the right thing by refunding half of our money for the WRONG TENT but not before my husband had to spend our wedding day kicking ass. I did not find any of this out until later because he did not want my day to be ruined like his was, but even a 50% refund can’t make up for the amount of stress incurred.
On a side note, we should have turned tail and run after we walked in and saw a stack of tires — spray-​painted white for, you know, weddings — that was used as a cocktail table. And it’s in the display window as if it is their shining pride and joy. If that’s not a sign that you are about to experience some of the most hideous, tacky and cheap décor you are ever going to see I don’t know what is. From the plastic tables that can barely stand up to the polyester tablecloths that will probably catch on fire if a tea light spills on them to single most uncomfortable «cubes» that they try to pass off as «modern wedding» dance floor décor…
If you have a burning love of overpriced crap, being rented to you by unscrupulous vendors, go here. But please go in with your eyes open and make sure you have the time and energy to question and follow through on every single item on your contract. It is the only way you will be able to rest easy on your wedding day.

I used Première Party Central this past weekend for tables, chairs, linens, and wine bottle holders. The overall experience was fine, it was quick and painless, the people were pleasant enough, it was totally adequate. The thing that I really did not like was that they sent me off with the wrong sized cocktail tables, which meant the linens we were sent with were also the wrong size. That alone, find, you can go fix it, but you can not, because despite being an EVENT RENTAL, they close at 2 PM on Saturday and are closed on Sunday. An event place that is not open on the weekends. Awesome, right? So, we made due and did the best we could with oversized linens and stubby tables, and the party was fine, but looked less than polished. Another irksome thing is that the table ties have to be returned untied, or you get charged 1.25 per tie. That’s pretty ridiculous, so word or warning to anyone planning to use them. Also, you have to bring your stuff back on Monday between 8 AM and noon, which is when most people are working, because they are not open on weekends. All in all, I say skip it. They didn’t have the colors I wanted, so I had to compromise, the wine holder was dented, and I had to take a day off work to return everything. I was underwhelmed and will not be using them for any future events.

Austin Party Central had a great selection. We had a hard time getting someone to help us at first, but once the lady came out, she helped us find everything we needed to test the different options. She also let us have a lot of time to ourselves while we made up our minds. We eventually chose something similar to what they had on display. I’m so happy we chose it and that they had it on display. It was a camel «suede» (faux) base with a denim cover. It looked beautiful and natural for our wedding! I really enjoyed walking around the store looking at all the samples they had put up. They had great ideas!
The value for the cost is rated lower because it is just plain expensive to get tablecloths. The prices at Austin party Central are comparable, even a little better, than other locations I checked. The tablecloths that they gave us were all clean and pressed and we had no problems picking them up or turning them in. It was very convenient.
