History

Established in 2012.

As a former educator in public, private, and charter schools, Elida Guardia Bonet realized the great need for individualized consulting in the college research, application and selection process. She moved from the classroom into college counseling in a high school setting and then in 2012 became an Independent Educational Consultant. Elida Guardia Bonet, is a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA).

Business Owner

Elida Guardia Bonet, Professional Member, Independent Educational Consultants Association and of the Higher Education Consultants Association, brings her experiences as an educator, college counselor, writer, and storyteller to help students and parents in the process of college admissions.

Bonet holds a BA in History and Spanish from St. Louis University, an MA in Latin American Studies and an MA in Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin. Bonet has visited over 70 colleges and universities in the United States and abroad, attends conferences, researches constantly, and in March 2014 completed the UC-​Irvine Certificate as an Independent Educational Consultant. There is always something new to learn in the field of college counseling, and she is always ready to learn some more!

Fluent in Spanish and having been raised in Panamá, she is familiar with different systems of education and is able to lead international students in the college admissions process.
