History
Established in 1931.
Parque Zaragoza parkland and original building, now the pool bath house, was built and founded 1931. Zaragoza Park has served the East Austin community with a rich history of music events and community gatherings for the surrounding latino population. In 1996 the City of Austin opened the now existing Parque Zaragoza Recreation Center. The new building now features a multi-use Gymnasium, weight room, an arts and crafts room, two multipurpose rooms and outdoor bathrooms. Recent renovations include a rain collection barrel and a small community garden.

Claudia R. has been apart of the Parque Zaragoza neighborhood since November 2006. With a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Administration, from Southwest Texas State University, Claudia has dedicated herself to enhancing the immediate Parque Zaragoza neighborhood through family themed events and programs.
