Pad Thai is my quick go to for Thai food, why? Well the food is always great, from dumplings, to soups, to curry, both locations will leave you consistently satisfied with the same rich flavors. I don’t often say it’s my favorite Thai spot, but the reality is, it’s without a doubt it’s my most frequented. Favorite soup: G4 Curry: the green one!!! Added Note: It’s also fast when ordering takeout. When they tell you 15 minutes… its fifteen minutes.

Pad Thai is basically just fast food Thai. It lacked flavor. And I ordered pork and it was delivered with just veggies. I would only eat here again if it’s too late to go somewhere better.

Nicely seasoned food, spice level was in point for us. For the prices, you receive a good amount of meat in the curries. Prices very reasonable, portions huge. Green curry rice was delicious, pad Thai flavorful and tofu crisped nicely but could have been seasoned a bit more. The rice balls as an appetizer was quite tasty with the sauce, but by themselves, they need a bit of salt or curry seasoning. At first I thought the Thai iced coffee was a bit over priced, then I saw the size of the glass! A bit over sweetened, but the coffee itself was good. The waitress was sweet and attentive.

Man, where do I start? When i lived in West Campus I ate here at least once a week not because they were close or because they were open relatively late, but because their food was so dang good. Sadly, I live super far away now but somehow i still manage to eat here about once a month. I can’t find another Thai restaurant around me that even comes close. If there’s anything wrong with this place, it’s its terribly lame name. Pad Thai? Yeah, that’s pretty terrible(though their chicken pad thai is actually very good). I’m pretty sure it is the SOLE reason that this place doesn’t have more people in their dining room. On one hand, i love how low-key, quiet, and modest everything is. On the other, i know in my heart(and my stomach) that they deserve bigger dinner crowds. Pad Thai has served me so many amazing meals that it is one of the few places I repeatedly recommend to friends and family(if they can get over the name). Everything from the Som Tum(green papaya salad) to the Chuu Cheee(fried catfish + bell pepper in red curry) are unbelievably well-prepared, fresh, and extremely tasty. I can’t remember having a single bad dish in all my years and visits to this location(they are, apparently, a chain!). I don’t understand Pad Thai’s relatively low star rating on Unilocal.Having been a long time, super happy customer, it’s so low that it hurts me(ouch, my heart: C). As someone who eats out for almost every single meal, the quality of food, service, and breadth of their menu deserve something better. Pad Thai is better than Titaya’s. It’s better than Madam Mam’s and Thai Kitchen. They have ample parking, prices are the low(comparatively), the dining area and bathrooms are always clean. If you’re looking for Thai food tonight, please give Pad Thai a try. Don’t let the name or cheap sign outside detract you! Apologies for any typos, i am on my phone.

This is about as reliable as you can get, always consistent. Fisherman’s soup is my go-to. flavorful broth, decent amount of seafood, and the perfect amount of spice. Green curry, throw in some chicken, make it spicy as all hell, and your tummy will thank you. The pad kee mao for some reason, always comes with the noodles stuck together, its super annoying. But, it’s OK/Good Is this the best Thai food you will ever eat? No… Is it good enough to go to when its convenient for you and worth the money you spend? Yes… This place gets props for making stuff as hot as you can handle… not many places am I unable to finish or eat a meal… Order it 10* stars… and see what I mean… I appreciate a place that can make me cry while eating and enjoying my food! I’m the Duke, don’t try and take it way, or else…

Easy for take out! Great curries and noodle dishes. They are always very quick! Love the massaman curry the most! They mean business when you say extra spicy!

Very poor service. Server seemed miserable. Ordered a pad Thai and a appetiser. The pad Thai was clearly microwaved as it was semi cold and rubbery to the bite. Very disappointing. Not sure if we caught them on a bad day as I’ve heard many good things about this place from others.

Delicious, cheap and fast service right near UT campus! Complete with nice and calm employees who are also very courteous! Also beware the spice — if you aren’t a spicy connoisseur I wouldn’t go above a 2 or 3(out of 5)! Couldn’t recommend this place more. Definitely recommend the pork pad see ew!

This is a true 4⁄5 stars. By far the best pad thai dish in town, in my opinion. The fire pot Tom Kha soup is aaaamazing. The atmosphere is simple, but always clean and never over full of people. This is a real gem for good, reliable, fresh Thai food in Austin without any hassle or line.

I woke up today and something gave me a fierce hankerin’ for some Pad Thai. By some stroke of luck; I’m situated right between Saps, Madam Mam’s, and Titayas. So as you can imagine I don’t venture outside my happy triangle of thai food often. With that said. Yeah. Pad Thai. For whatever reason I was like, «Man, I should try the… whats that place by Five Guys!?» I literally knew where it was and forgot the name, who does that?! Also, spoiler alert. A business NAMED«Pad Thai» has pretty good Pad Thai! It’s crazy, I know. I know some people mentioned the service being inattentive and or slow but I didn’t see it at all. I was sat down promptly and had a menu and water down within seconds. I already knew what I wanted. «The Pad Thai, please!» I say, eagerly. I then make a note about asking the about the various spice levels. The lovely waitress says that while it’s not spicy normally, I can easily add 3 different levels of spice. Great success! I make an addendum of the order to add the«Hot» level of spice. Let me preface this by saying I am pale, like, I reflect sunlight when I go to the beach. So naturally, when I order anything really spicy — I think there’s a bit of a pause on their behalf. Bu no, when they ask«How spicy» I say, «I want gastric distress levels of spicy» So anyways! The delicious noodles came over and I did a quick inspection. The consistency was good, I loved what they did with the chopped up peanuts, and there were some big, but easily manageable chunks of chicken. The level of spiciness was good, but I still put a bit of Sirracha on it. Also, BONUS imaginary point: Some guy in there before me tried to stiff them, and the hostess ran his ass down. A meal AND a show. Who’da thunk. I don’t know if I’d put it into rotation by sheer virtue of where I live(Again, happy thai food triangle) but it’s definitely worth doing if you’re in the area!

I would be hard pressed to rate anywhere more than four stars as I would define that as the definition of perfect. So the staff was very polite, it’s a seat yourself affair, at least at lunch, and there is plenty of room. The tables are large and there is space between them. Salad and soup are included with any lunch special the soup today was coconut chicken and DELICIOUS. I had pad Thai, I figure go with the namesake, if you can’t get the basics right, you shouldn’t be messing with the big stuff. I would describe the sauce as tangy and flavorful, if maybe a little muddied, which I don’t mean negatively. It came semi«dis assembled» where the peanuts were on the side with the greens, you mix in as much as you want. Overall a very good lunch experience. My bill for Pad Thai, soup and tea was 10.00.

I crave pad thai at least once every week, and I decided to try a new place. This place is not too fancy looking on the outside, but definitely looks better on the inside. The staff here is a little bit inattentive, and we kind of awkwardly stood there and self– seated ourselves. I ordered Pad Thai with chicken(of course) as well as a thai tea, because I saw pictures from past reviewers, and the thai tea size was HUGE. What I liked best about this Pad Thai was that it had enough sauce that the noodles didn’t dry out by the time I was only halfway done eating. Since I’m a pretty slow eater, this was something I appreciated. The only thing was that the Pad Thai was incredibly sweet. I’ve had Pad Thai from Madam Mam’s a lot, and this Pad Thai was comparatively much sweeter. I think a little less sweeter and more flavorful Pad Thai is usually what I prefer. However, it was still pretty decent. The Thai Tea came in a very tall glass, and tasted sweet, almost like milk tea. I think I would’ve preferred more taste of the tea rather than the sugar. I think the only thing I was upset about was the service here. There seemed to be one waiter working, and it took me asking twice to get our check paid and a to go box for our table. I will probably be back if I am ever craving sweet Pad Thai, but maybe when there are more waiters or waitressses working.

This is my favorite restaurant! I love the yellow chicken curry, it is so delicious and comforting. The server here(young guy) has a good attitude. I like eating here alone because it’s so quiet and there is quick service. :)

Really solid Thai! Pad kee mao and pad Thai were both spot on, as were their egg rolls. Dishes were well portioned and delicious. The pad kee mao was really well balanced, and my girlfriend said their tofu in the pad Thai was excellent. 2.50 beers were also nice! Atmosphere was also nice and service was excellent. This place is near thai kitchen on guad and is definitely superior. I would put it on par with a madame mams but not sure about titayas or sway.

My friend was having his car lubed & washed nearby so we decided to have lunch. Talk about value for the money. I’ve had better but at this price who am I to complain. Service could have been a little faster, especially since this would be a great place for lunch!

It’s Tuesday. It’s late. I’m hungry. I want noodles. Ramen? Nah. Phở? Nah. PADTHAI! I call in a to-go order within a few minutes of closing(I know — I’m horrible). Lady on the phone was nice and my late call in order didn’t seem to bother her. I arrive and pick up my chicken pad thai. I still see no one upset that I was there before closing(whew!). I get home and hot damn. this stuff is good. The smell was incredible, the taste was smooth and I loved the amount of peanuts on the pad thai(a lot). It was fresh and delicious. The serving is enough for 2… or even 3 meals. I will be back.

My second review update… I came back only once after my previous update, but I just had to update this again. I absolutely love the food here, and when we get a certain waitress, she’s always checking up on us and was very kind. However, I realized everytime I get this certain male waiter I’ve always experienced problems with our checks. The first time was when I came with a group of 5 people(myself included) and we all split checks. I’ve worked as a waitress before and usually you don’t add gratuity to the bill unless it’s 6 or more people. One of my friend was charged about $ 5 extra dollars and she asked that waiter about the mistake and he recalculated and fixed it. As we all pay up at the counter, after he gave us change or the receipt to sign he would say, «gratuity is not included». I guess people don’t tip here but sometimes it’s not very pleasant to hear that as a customer. We will tip according to your service. But we all tipped him accordingly and realized if we had 1 check, 15% would’ve been around $ 5. Hmmm fishy. Next incident which was my most recent one. He gave us a check of $ 48 something. The checks are handwritten with the price next to the item and total at the bottom. We were surprised at how pricey it was so we calculated ourselves and the total was actually $ 42 something. So we went to ask that same waiter to fix it. There were 2 calculators at the counter and one of them had the exact same total we did and then the other calculate was the one he was using to recalculate. HMMMYESDEFINITELYFISHY This made me really irritated. Maybe it was a mistake, but it happened twice and we had that waiter only twice. I promise I’m never that anal customer, but if I do see a problem I would kindly ask for it to be fixed. But this doesn’t seem like mistakes to me. I hope I’ll get lucky with another waiter next time :/

Came here on a Saturday afternoon after driving last it many times in the last couple weeks. Walked in and there was one other person inside so I was a bit nervous. As soon as I say down I was served a cold water and one of the employees walks out the back with a large fan pointed in my direction because the air conditioning was broken. The fan felt great and I was very pleased. I ordered the yellow curry with medium spicy and it had plenty of flavor along with a large size portion of both rice and curry. They even offer more rice if you so please. The emoter staff was very friendly and willing to help me in anyway. They felt very bad about the air conditioning but it wasn’t an issue at all for me. Great meal

Someone pretty great is looking out for me. He suggested that we go here for our lunch the other day. I was in an insufferable mood and not excited about going, but one needs to eat even when they’re frustrated. A three-ish star rating, my mood, and the fact that I’ve driven past this place a gajillion times over the years without ever thinking twice about going were all factors in my coming in with a completely dejected, «whatever» frame of mind. I’m glad this someone is around me, because were he not, I wouldn’t have had this totally delicious curry. I initially thought I’d order the pad thai(it’s in the name, after all), but if I had any chance of getting out of sad-town, it was curry or nothing. I was torn between green and red curry, which is common, but red ultimately won. I ordered the Gang Pah with tofu and a vegetable mix of bamboo strips, cabbage, zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, bell peppers, baby corn, and some other vegetables. It’s marked as medium spice, which is a fairly accurate rating. The vegetables have a nice bite to them, which is great because mushy vegetables in Thai curries can be pretty depressing. The portion is sizable; enough for a large lunch or two smaller meals if you want to take some to go. The décor isn’t anything terribly impressive and it doesn’t give the«hang out» vibe, but it’s clean and nice enough. The woman at the counter was very nice and quick with taking our orders, delivering food, and refilling our water when it was necessary. The meal was really great for a get-in-get-out affair and I’ll definitely be putting this place in rotation.
