Okay Atilla Onan, MD

In today’s ever changing medical environment this surgeon continues to strive for excellence. He always goes above and beyond both in the operating room and in his office. It is obvious he puts his patients and humanity first. I went to his office fully expecting to be told I had a herniated disc and needed surgery but after reviewing my x-​rays, giving me a thorough evaluation, and answering all my questions he prescribed some muscle relaxers which resolved my issue in just a few days. I would not hesitate to send any of my family or friends to Dr. Onan.

By the fall of 2008 I was losing the use my right arm. I had severe neck pain that landed me in the ER on an yearly basis, dating back to 1999. Dr. Onan was very professional and ethical. He suggested a multiple types of surgery to repair my herniated C5, some of which he did not perform. In October, he performed Anterior Cervical Discectomy w/​Fusion. Less then one year later I was getting back into my active life. Fast forward to present day, I am now training for IRONMAN Boulder and a member of the IRONMAN Foundation Newton Running Triathlon Team. I would not be where I am today with the knowledgeable and talented Dr. Onan. My time is valuable, so I appreciate the fact that he is clear and concise with his bedside manner.
