So I don’t want to sound like a negative nancy, but I know how long or short I like my nails… I want my nails medium… this mf cut my real middle finger nail off… I take pride in my real nails so this devastated me I was pissed off he replaced it with a fake nail & I felt a little better but next time I’ll go elsewhere …

So I bought a groupon. I wanted to save on a mani and pedi. First off, I never get a mani. I walk in, they seat me in the back for my pedi. I show nail tech a blood spot on my big toe. She says no problem. I say I want a French tip. She says uhhhhhh, that’s extra. Mind you I’ve already paid but now I have to pay extra, STRIKE 1. Ok, $ 6, cool. I ask again will the French tip be ok with my blood spot. She says yes. Strike 2, she doesn’t even buff my toe nails, so I could see ripples. She’s done and I look down, um no. I pointed out the blood spot, she said oh, let’s paint over it with a pearl, im like great idea but now it’s gonna take longer, oh well. Im n no rush. She fixes it and it looks good. Then she comes back, uhhhhhhh that’s gonna be extra. What? The pearl. Lol. Whatever lady. So my hands so I can get outta here. I ask for French tip nails again, I know, it’s gonna be extra. This nail tech squared up my real nails so much, they were ssshhhaarrrpppp on the edges. Didn’t know until I left and kept scratching myself. How in the world. She also messed up on 2 nails that had to be redone. Whatever, I’m under the dryer and they have the nearby to ask for me to pay now. She said you need to pay now because I have another customer. Sooooo what, my nails are wet, and heck of I let you in my purse. Thankfully I keep my card in my cell phone. Now, fast forward 4 days… The French tip on my toes look a hot mess and my mani is starting to chip. Mind you I’m on vacay, so I’m not WORKING WITH MY HANDS. Lol so there you have it, STRIKE 3. I will not go back, groupon or a free trip. No thanks

This nail salon is really inconsistent with their services. We were doing my bachelorette and called to make a reservation for five people. They asked if we had a groupon. We didn’t know there was a groupon so we went and bought it. When we got there the tech said they were still taking it, but after our mani pedis the manager completely refused to take it and said it couldnt be used on weekends and refused to honor our groupon! When we went back to check the details of the deal, it NEVER said anything about not being usable on weekends! Also, only one of my girls had a good time and a good tech that did everything on the basic pedicure list. One of my girls didn’t get the hot towel wrap, another didn’t a massage at all! They were just rushing to finish our group and were super inconsistent. Wtf! The only thing they did right was keeping our reservation and having enough ppl to work on us when we got there. My mom owns a nail salon I know slack when I see it. I feel jipped on my special day. Will not be returning!

Came in on a Friday around 2pm and had such an awesome salon experience! We were doing the spa portion of my best friend’s bachelorette party and called ahead and made an appointment for 5 at 2:30pm. We really weren’t expecting them to be prepared for a big party, because most salons aren’t… but they were! They were well staffed and all 5 of us started and finished our pedis at the same time! My tech was Ivy. She’s so friendly, and no joke gave me one of the best foot massages I’ve ever received from a nail salon. She actually applies a lot of pressure, and takes her time! It was magnificent. Ask for her if you want a good time. No pun intended. I also got my eyebrows waxed too. Their wax is the perfect hot temperature and glides on real smoothly. But the tech that did my eyebrows was in such a rush, it felt like she really wanted me out of there. She actually didn’t even go back and tweeze any strays away or double check anything. But maybe I just have perfect brows?

I wouldn’t waste your time. I was given a Groupon voucher as a gift but they (Apart from being rude and unfriendly even in the beginning), refused to honour it unless the giver came with me and showed them it on her phone. They refused to honour a hard copy, the Groupon number, or a phone call from her .
This basically means you cannot buy the vouchers as a gift as the givers shouldn’t be expected to accompany you!
So I walked half an hour each way in the heat and half an hour trying to politely resolve the problem to not be able to enjoy the pedicure /​manicure I was looking forward to.
Groupon gave a refund but what a performance!

Been hear a few times since I moved to Austin. The technicians were kinda unfriendly but my gel manicure always came out okay for the price .
However I went in today with a photo of a more complicated french manicure and had a fricken painfully awful experience. Anthony practically bruised one of my fingers while filing my nails. Then after showing him a photo and pointing out and explaining in detail exactly what I wanted numerous times he painted on the wrong base color. When I told him that he was doing it wrong he said don’t worry its gonna be just like the picture and proceeded.
By the time the first coat was done I just wanted to leave. Paint was going all around my nail’s onto my skin and was being wiped off by this guys one really long thumb nail. I was trying to figure out why he had one long finger nail. Like was it to do lines of cocaine or something or maybe he’s just a fan of the pimp character in The Movie Taxi Driver? Nope. It is so he can scrape of the polish he smears all over your fingers as he speedily slaps on nail polish. Anyhow he got very frustrated with me when I pointed out his mistake for the 2^nd time which I’m sure was caused by a language barrier. Then he got up and said something rude about me to one of his co workers in another language and well that was that.
Don’t go here unless you are into mediocre manicures and being treated less then human.

LOVE! I have been looking for a replacement go-​to nail place since moving to Austin and this place is the real deal! Mani-​pedi-​brow wax for $ 46! Cant beat the prices, and she did my brows so well, it was one of the best waxes ive ever had. Cannot recommend this place enough! They even fixed my thumb nail polish after i messed it up upon getting into my car right afterwards– amazing!!!

And here we are again. I called and made an appointment for 4pm today. It is now 420pm. They asked if I could wait another 20 min. NO… I CANNOT! This is why I made an appointment. 10 – 15 min is running late… a full 35 minutes is IGNORING the fact that I made an appointment.
Things went well the last time I came with an appointment. I had hope. All my dreams of maintaining my relationship with Van (who I absolutely adore… she is great!) have been dashed.
The worst owners/​managers. Unless you are a person who can sit around and wait until they get to you, don’t try and schedule anything here. They suck.
I’m going to let them stick to their assembly line mentality. I just can’t abide.

This store also sells Apple Macbook chargers. I bought one. It didn’t work after a day. They refunded my money, but were unable to provide another working charger. Still, glad they honored their refund policy.

TL;DR:
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD
— nail techs were rude, slow, INAPPROPRIATE, unsanitary and DID NOT provide a quality service (3 nails chipped in less than 24 hours)
— male manager was also very rude, does not know how to conduct business or make sure customers are satisfied and does and does care about his reputation or know how to deal with customers
If I could give this no stars, I would. I’m not the type of person to complain but this was quite literally the WORST experience I’ve ever had, and speaking with the manager put the icing on the cake.
Let’s start with the in salon experience:
–my nail technician called me fat
–my nail technician called my friend «too tall»
–my nail tech made offensive comments about transgendered people
–massage had no pressure and felt like an irritating skin rub
–my pedicure took significantly longer than my friends (and started before hers) because my nail tech kept PHYSICALLY HITTING the male tech next to her, flirting and carrying on with him. She slapped him, pushed him and pinched his earlobes. SO uncomfortable.
–the place was not clean. They charge extra for disposable liners and even then the tub felt greasy
Not even 24 hours later, 3 toes are severely chipped. So I decide to call the salon to speak with a manager. I was seeking a refund because WHY would I want to go back to the salon to be insulted again? When they answered the phone I asked if I could speak with a manager and the voice on the other end responded «…Uh… This is she.» !!! Like are you sure or not? So I explain my experience and she says refunding money isn’t something they usually do. I was adamant and she said she’d talk with her other manager. I said I’d be happy to explain to him what happened. She told me to hold on a second and I could hear HER telling him my experience in a foreign language, which is rude because she spoke perfect English. The male manager was the biggest problem.
Experience with the male manager:
–wouldn’t let me explain my situation and talked over me
–I had to ask him to stop talking over me so I could explain, which I did
–he said since it’s a service they don’t do refunds
–he was insinuating I was a liar because I did not know the name of my technician
–insinuated I was a liar again because I did not complain yesterday… HELLO I wanted to GET OUT OF THERE ASAP
–when I told him I was going to review the business and share my extremely negative experience he responded «you know, what can I say? Go ahead.» Someone who CLEARLY doesn’t care about his customers, customer retention, customer satisfaction or reputation. DO YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BUSINESS?

I walked in here out of convenience one day over a year ago, to get a fill. Ivy did my nails, no one has done them since that day! She does a great job with everything from a regular manicure to shellac pedicure to even false lashes!
I highly recommend calling to make an appointment with Ivy of you don’t want to wait. Vivian also does a good job if Ivy is unavailable.

I am so happy with my amazing nails after coming here every month for almost three years! I am originally from Dallas (the epicenter of fashion) and was really worried about finding someone who could do my nails as well as my previous girl who I went to for almost 12 years!
Every time I go I am SOO happy! Don’t let some of the other outrageous reviews throw you, the people who own this shop are kind, honest and hospitable.
I know the service industry well, and finding somewhere like this jewel is hard to say the least.
Side note, I get complimented on my nails at least 3 – 4 times a week. Ivy, one of the managers, does my nails every month and they are always on point!

Don’t even try. Just go somewhere else. I was a happy client here for years, but the management has changed *at least* once or twice, and great service is no longer a given. They don’t seem to be able to keep the good employees anymore. I’ve kept going back out of loyalty and convenience, but no longer. The last straw was the other day, when I went by to treat myself and got the briefest, sloppiest, most ‘I-don’t-give-a-damn’ pedicure EVER. No treat at all, and when I got out in the daylight and really saw my toes, I knew I’d never be back. What a waste of money.

I go here for my brows, quick and easy and they always get most, if not all, the hair without tweezing. They do always try to upsell a lip wax, which made me inspect my supposed ‘stache VERY closely and there is nothing there! So, if offered a lip wax it doesn’t mean you’ve got anything to remove… 5 stars for decent, inexpensive waxing, otherwise
I have used them for pedicure and manicure and I am less satisfied with their services. Pedi felt rushed, though they weren’t particularly busy. I have had manicures here 3−4x and each time my skin gets nipped in one way or another, causing me to bleed.
One mani was shellac and within a day it was lifting off of my fingers and they refused to redo or refund the service which was a bummer. I go somewhere else now for my nails.
Maybe it’s just bad luck with my nail techs, but who knows?

Man. I am not usually one to complain since I am a hairstylist and I understand how important reviews are, but my acrylic nails just can not go unnoticed. I usually go to T-​Nails but this place is closer to my house so I thought I’d give them a try. The pedicure was alright, I asked for a hot stone massage to soothe sore muscles as it said and the stones were hot but I felt she just rubbed them on me and charged me $ 36. The paint on my toes by that lady was decent. So off to my acrylic nails. I showed the lady a picture I had taken the time to find because I do not speak nails… she took a quick glance at it and said okay. She asked me «do you want short or long?» And in my head I’m like «I don’t know how to answer that .I don’t want short or long» so I answered «not super long I guess?» Hoping she would remember the picture I showed her. So she rudely answered «so medium. «and chopped my tips off. In my head I’m like «holy crap how is she going to shape these stubbs into the Ballerina shape that I showed her? But I stupidly stayed silent because I was scared!
I noticed how quickly she applied the acrylic and I even commented «wow your fast» and she sort of laughed and said «yes. «
As far as the color, I had picked out 4 gel colors. 2 base colors and 2 sparkle colors to lay over the dark. I was hoping she could look at the pic again and consult with how she wanted to do them or collaborate on how to have it look the best. She just asked ME to show her where to apply which color. I mean, I’m paying YOU! You should help me pick colors to best replicate the photo or at least have some sort of input… Other wise I can paint them myself :(
Anyway, I’m too frustrated to come back in and have someone fix it. Quite honestly it needs to be completely redone and I don’t want them to look at me angrily or talk about me. I just want nice nails for my birthday.

This place has really gone down hill. I made a reservation a couple weeks ago for a Sunday for 3 people, as I was treating my family members out for their birthday. Our reservation was for 12pm, and when I got there they did not even know about it, and were very rude. Then they found it on the piece of paper, and looked confused. My cousins were not there yet, so I ran to the bathroom. When I came out, my cousins were also waiting confused because the staff was rude to them, made them feel unwelcome, and never even told them I was there.
They have this old man with grey hair who works there now, and I am not sure if he is the manager or what he is supposed to be doing (he doesnt seem to do anything), but he is very awkward and not very nice. It was uncomfortable. The female manager was also not very friendly or helpful, or apologetic. I asked if we were going to be able to still get our nails done since they did not remember my reservation and they said yes. They sat all of us down… and we waited for 30 minutes before anyone did our nails. I kept asking what was going on and they would say really soon… well 30 minutes later is when they finally started. I specifically made a reservation at 12, because I had to go to brunch and a play with my mom after. Well they completely messed up my schedule, so I was late to brunch with my mom, which was supposed to be a special family outing. They made it very uncomfortable and not a great experience for my cousins who I was supposed to be treating and spending quality time.
They did a horrible job on my pedicure (mani was okay), as I am sure he was rushing since they were behind schedule, and honestly it didnt seem like he knew what he was doing. He did not remove my cuticles or spend much time on my toenails. I paid extra for callus remover, which he barely scrubbed and I had to go get my feet done somewhere else later… spending even more money.
They were unapologetic the whole time and I will not be going back. I used to go there all the time because its close to my moms house, but will not be going there anymore as I found a better place down the street, with better service and prices.

I came in with a friend on a Thursday afternoon for my appointment I scheduled a week before. The staff was very unfriendly. They were vague with directions as to which chair we should sit in.
I got a gel manicure and I’ve gotten plenty of gel manicures at other salons but this was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. I felt as if the lady was just trying to finish my nails as quick as possible. She didn’t give me a hand massage but my friend got one. This inconsistency in services was just outrageous. If we’re both paying the same price, I expect the same services. I don’t know if it’s cause the lady wore glasses and she couldn’t see or if she was just lazy but she did not paint my nails from edge to edge like how you’re supposed to. Other nail salons I’ve gotten gel manicures at use a bonder before applying the gel polish, she definitely didn’t. I also got 2 different kinds of gel polish: a grey color and a sparkly one. I understand you have to put several coats of the sparkly one to get full coverage but after it was all set, I realized that it was super thick and it was uneven (one side was thicker than the other).
My friend also had an awful experience. The lady who did her nails didn’t ask her if she wanted them cut and just did it anyways. Her nails were super uneven and misshaped. They were like diagonally shaped! I was shocked at how awful a job they did on her nails. Her gel polish was also just like mine, not edge to edge.
I will definitely NOT be coming back here!

I will not be coming back! I felt disrespected as a customer and the quality of my manicure and experience can only be described as below McDonald’s.
I called ahead to make an appointment for a friend and myself. We get there and they proceed to sit us in opposite ends of the salon, certainly not what I expected when I made two appointments. As a note, most other salons offer you something to drink before they start your manicure, here I had to prompt my manicurist for something to drink.
As I sat for my manicure, I noticed the nail file and buffing square were used and had not even been disinfected. I have no idea if the other nail clipping tools were clean because I was distracted when she brought them out.
About 5 minutes into the manicure, a couple of walk ins show up and ask if they have room. The manager speaks to my friend’s manicurist and mine and proceeds to tell the walk ins that there was a 5 minute wait time. As a customer with an appointment I felt extremely disrespected and rushed, like, because I was getting a simple manicure I was not worth their time.
Then, when the manicurist proceeded to remove my nail polish, she used half a paper towel instead of a cotton ball. Needless to say, she did not get all of the nail polish.
As soon as she finished the top coat, I was quickly rushed to the drying area and never checked in on again. While my expectations were certainly not high for a $ 15 manicure, I would gladly pay $ 25 at my usual salon to feel like a valued customer and get a flawless manicure and experience.

Best pedicure I’ve had in years! The woman’s name is Tina. She was very efficient and not customer service oriented, which is just fine with me. Her energy was spend on my toes and not on small talk. They also offer an ‘organic’ pedicure which I’ll have to try next time.
I’ll be a regular here for sure!

This place used to be my «go-​to» manicure/​pedicure place for about five years. Those five years coincide with my baby sister going to UT.
Who can fool ya? The location is great for UT students who can grab a mani and or pedi before or after shopping at the Red River HEB. The wait is reasonable if you aren’t coming here Friday night, last minute.
Everything about this nail place screams «we will go the extra mile». The owner is almost always there. The chairs for a pedicure give you a massage. The girls working there will even offer you refreshments (bottled water or chilled wine). And, given recent health scares, this place actually does autoclave the tools used for your manicure and/​or pedicure (just make sure that package comes out sealed). That’s reassuring to know the tools they use to take all of the crap from under your nails or toe nails is not getting mixed in with the junk from others.
I give this place 4 stars simply because they are constantly trying to upsale me. I’d come back here all the time if they’d simply back off and accept the fact that I want a simple manicure and pedicure. With no extras. No, I don’t want shellac [sp?]. No, I don’t need the special treatment for cuticles. And no, I know my toes are horror-​movie candidates but please don’t nuke them with chemicals. I happen to wash my own dishes, and I garden almost daily. Forgive the natural soil and my uneven fingernails. That doesn’t mean I’m up for changing them out. Thank you for asking, but please don’t push it.
Also, little known fact about this place. They sell Mac chargers for your Apple Laptop at half the price. Just go up to the counter and ask them if they have the charger you need for your laptop (60 or 85 watt). They are refurbished and work well. Also, they come with a two month warranty so save your receipt.
Needless to say, I’ll continue to come to this place and be firm when they ask if I want more. Because I truly think this is one of the better nail salons out there. Especially if you are close by to Red River/​Hyde Park and UT.
