The ladies that came to my house today were outstanding. Don’t hesitate to use this company. They did a wonderful job cleaning. They didn’t just clean around they moved necessary items to clean under them. I couldn’t have asked for a better job. On top of all this a supervisor came by shortly after to inspect their work.

Initially, we were very happy with the service. The house would always smell wonderful and be spotless. As time progressed, we noticed the service went consistently downhill. It appeared that only the middle of rooms were being vacuumed. Additionally, appliances on my kitchen counters weren’t moved but rather wiped around. Moreover, it looked like things were being «cleaned» with water and not true cleaning products. In preparation for a party we were having on an off week, I clean my house myself and was shocked at the dust I found on top of my TV’s and behind/​under things. (Again, it appears they were wiping around the books on my coffee table rather than picking them up and wiping under them) Clearly, the service was only surface cleaning readily visible areas. When I mentioned this to Jenny she prompted ran an audit on my home and told me I was going to be charged more for my clean due to my square footage (despite repeated requests for the maids not to clean my husband’s home office, my exercise room, etc.). We will continue to have our home professionally clean, but not by Morehands.

I LOVE the ladies that come to my house every week! They are efficient, prompt (sometimes showing up early) and have always done a solid job. I love that they are so sweet to my kids too. It really makes a difference to me. My house always looks perfect and really, I cannot say enough great things about the ladies that come every week. Also, Roberto is always prompt to answer questions and receive feedback, should there be any issue.

We have been using MoreHands for over a year now, with cleanings at our house every 6 weeks or so. Their services have been very good, the folks who come to our house are very nice, friendly, hard workers and we enjoy the work they have done. However, we have constantly been over billed by this company. The general manager, indicates they bill by GPS trackers in the cars they have and the phones they carry. I have consistently started my stopwatch the minute they enter my home, and the minute they leave. It has consistently been over by 30 minutes and at one point up to an hour. They charge us 85 $ per hour, so this, repeatedly, has added up to quite an expense. When I have notified the general manager, he essentially indicated their GPS is correct, and my stopwatch is wrong. Please, the next time they come to your house, watch the clock. You will be overbilled, I nearly guarantee it.
Time to search for a different company. Very disappointed.

This was the first time I have used a maid service. We were moving from one apartment to another and I couldn’t fathom moving all the furniture and things and try to clean to my old apartment’s arcane guidelines.
The best thing about MoreHands is you can get your quote online and they have a move out special!!! They were one of the few that you could quote yourself online. I am sorry but I dont have time to call around to several places and have someone him and haw over pricing. The Move out special includes deep cleaning, baseboards and cleaning that is specific to the complex’s move out checklist. I recieved my email confirmations right away and was able to specify the earlist the service could come. They also didnt have a problem with last minute requests. My only issue was that I was never called saying they were coming just one when they said they were done. That being said, when I got the apartment it was immaculate. We passed our walk through with flying colors. Thank you guys!!!

I hate to leave poor reviews but I was always pretty disappointed with the service provided by More Hands. The people were nice, but many things were left poorly done. I have concrete floors throughout my condo and I don’t think they were ever actually mopped, just swept or vacuumed. There were visible spots left and dust still on the floor in harder to reach places like the lip of the bottom cabinets or around the toilet in the bathroom. I voiced these concerns and they sent someone out to inspect, but ultimately, nothing improved. It seems like a high cost ($ 150) for a small one bedroom condo, and not worth it for a inadequate job. I could clean it poorly myself for free.

I’ve had these maids for almost a year and they do a somewhat thorough job of cleaning. But for an apartment with four bedrooms and 4 bathrooms they somehow manage to be finished within less than an hour. They must be in a hurry to get to the next house.
However, my biggest complaint is that they never have a set time when they come, so as a student I have to plan my schedule around when the maids come, which is inconvenient.
In addition, whoever is the person in charge of the maids that come to my apartment is exceptionally rude over the phone and makes passive aggressive comments about how one time I made the maids wait in the lobby for 10 minutes.
This one time they wanted to come at 8am and I happened to be asleep and not realize that they were calling for a while. As soon as I called them back I apologized for not having answered because I knew that it would affect their schedule. Yet, the woman on the phone was very rude about it even though I was aware that it was my fault and I had to pay full price. From then on that lady has made some rude comments everytime she calls to let me know the relative (2 hour time span) that the maids will be coming.
They do not dust. ever.

Update after 6 years as a customer: I’m still totally happy with them. Everything I said in my 2012 update remains true. Roberto, the boss man, is always great when it comes to the occasional change in scheduling or other requests.

My dog could have cleaned my house better than MoreHands Maid Service did. I came home expecting a beautifully cleaned house, and I received the exact opposite.
My furniture was strewn around, not put in its appropriate location. NOTHING was dusted or wiped down. All I could tell was that they vacuumed and made the beds.
I have never been more disappointed in a maid service EVER! I find it absolutely RIDICULOUS that I spent $ 130 to come home to a house that was barely touched. No clean smell, dust everywhere, nothing wiped down, toilets dirty, didn’t sweep the downstairs, picture frames knocked over, shower curtain partly hanging off, dirty dishes still on the sink, spilled wine still on the kitchen counter and coffee tables… absolutely disappointed.
If you are wanting your house cleaned, go somewhere other than MoreHands.
I’m still awaiting a phone call back from MoreHands for a refund of service. I’m so upset about this!
UPDATE: The manager called me back in a timely manner and was very respectful and understanding. I’m adding an extra star just for the fact that he was so kind and helpful.

There is nothing like a clean home and that they delivered. I have used them over the last 7 years and always been satisfied. They take their reputation seriously and deliver the results. They do what they promised in the contract and do it efficiently. In my opinion they are pros and I have always been satisfied.

Since posting, my wife and I wrote to MoreHands three times asking them to respond to our concerns about the cruel treatment of our house cat by their staff and the callous response I got on the phone by their office person. We have never received any answer — by mail, phone, or email — since we made our complaint. Any company that cannot respond to the genuine concerns of their clients is not worth giving our business. Further, in a city like Austin, there is no place for a business that does not respect the relationship so many of us have with our rescue animals. We have since secured the services of another cleaning company, Boardwalk Cleaning, which immediately reassured us that our in-​house creatures would be respected by the staff. I will post a review of them in a few weeks.

I came home today after More Hands cleaned my house to find that one of my cats had been left pinned in a tiny space above the fridge screaming. I cannot imagine ethically how a company can treat a defenseless animal with such indifference. Fortunately, thanks to an emergency visit to the vet, it has been confirmed that our cat has not suffered permanent injuries and she has been prescribed appropriate pain killers as her bruised body tries to heal.
I hope that, although their staff today have chosen to ignore best practices and the concerns of their customers, that they will consider putting in place protocols that ensure that their teams treat animals who live in the houses they clean ethically. Austin is a city that cares about the humane treatment of animals. Their company needs to meet the local standard, and today it did not. Needless to say, they will not be allowed in my house again.

For about two months, the service was excellent with same duo doing the work, and Estrella coming by shortly after to check quality.
THEN, the scheduled date fell on a holiday. No contact. Called Roberto on Friday and he said he’d emailed me twice and I hadn’t responded. Checked inbox and spam. Not true. Different crew arrived on makeup date, careless with things. No Quality check.
I canceled. Now months later, I find glass broken in a large framed print stored for summer. Were they responsible?
Summary: good for emergency work. If you expect a professional ongoing relationship with good communication and response to changing needs, try elsewhere.

They did an unsatisfactory job, but Roberto was extremely apologetic and kind enough to immediately issue a full refund.

MoreHands did a great job on a move-​out cleaning for my one bedroom apartment. Everything was spotless and smelled great!
Prices were similar to other cleaners in town, maybe slightly cheaper. I’d use them again for a move-​out cleaning — I got my deposit back from the apartment managers after they cleaned my place.
I especially like that you can book online.

Don’t be fooled by the hype and the MoreHands bug mobile driving all around the town. I thought I would give them a try because I saw a neighbor use them. NEVER AGAIN. These people don’t know the meaning of «clean» or heaven forbid that they do some «scrubbing».
Stove top area and panel on top still left with grease, window areas & toilet lids left undusted, coffee table glass left entirely not cleaned (I easily used windex and removed spot myself), stuffed my dirty pots on top of my fully washed dishwashed items (as I ran the dishwasher prior to their arrival) — unacceptable & unsanitary!, master bathroom shower area not fully cleaned of residue, faucets throughout house not fully scrubbed, highly doubtful they even touched my wooden floors or bathroom tiles as I still found hair all over the floors and marks which I was able to remove myself upon a little scrubbing. The list goes on and on and on… Not to mentioned they somehow managed to make one of my bathroom door stoppers completely disappear! Unbelievable!
I’ll give them this — they are brilliant at hiding all your clutter to where you can’t locate them again. The next morning we had to look around the bathroom cabinets to locate the body scrub and shampoos that they took out of the shower!
They came back around next morning after my complaint. Grant it they do that, but who doesn’t?! However, when confronted the «quality control» lady would come up with some absurd explanation for nearly everything I pointed out!
Orange residue still present in master shower — «can’t remove everything in 1^st cleaning» — oh really?
Stove top not cleaned fully — «can’t remove it» — O-​kay
Faucet residue still remains — «after we clean it, you still have that look reappear after it dries» — oh, really, well I noticed that when I scrub it a bit harder and not just wipe it, it actually comes off.
I had to tell her that my house is new and only been lived in for 6 mths so it can’t get that dirty and for the amount I paid for ($ 188 for 4 baths, 3 bedrooms) I would expect them to find things to clean even if it appears clean. Just because a toilet appears clean doesn’t mean you don’t still wipe it down with cleaning agents, etc.
I can’t argue with ignorant people. At this point, I just said I was happy with everything upon 2^nd inspection so they could just get the hell out of my house so I could do the real «cleaning and quality control» myself!
I will never ever use this maid service again — EVER. I wouldn’t even recommend them to my worst enemy… or maybe I would because they left me more pissed and frustrated than relieved or happy as a real cleaning service would leave a person!
Save yourself the headache, time and money and go elsewhere. I regret not having read the Unilocal reviews prior to booking them…

FYI: Morehands books its teams of cleaners to clean between 3 – 5 houses a day. With that in mind, you can conclude that the cleaners are in a big hurry to finish cleaning each house. Today, 2 Morehands maids came to my 3 bedroom, 3 bath house at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m., they announced they were leaving! Of course they had not cleaned the house thoroughly! Yet Morehands is prepared to charge $ 145 for this service.
I cancelled the service as I have had countless issues with this company, among them, breaking a window with their mop then claiming the window was broken when they arrived. Look elsewhere for people who care to do a good job for their customers’ hard-​earned money.

For the past 2 years I have convinced my husband that we need to hire a maid service every 6 months so I can maintain my sanity (my sanity means never having to clean ceiling fans or scrubbing tubs).
We had More Hands come out for the 4^th time today and when I come home it is always such an ethereal feeling. Everything is clean and the house smells like lemon. We have a 4 bedroom/​3bath house and we don’t add the extras (no pets, no green cleaning, no baseboards, ovens, fridge, etc) and we are charged about $ 185 for this.
I looked up what the cost would be if we decided to have them come every 3 weeks and it is $ 114. I’m trying to convince my husband that we need to start having them come that often (again, my sanity) but the only thing stopping us is the prep work we feel we have to do to ensure we get a good clean. (Wash and dry sheets right after we wake up and have them laid out on the bed. Make sure the dishes are all in the dishwasher so our sink gets a good scrub. Put things away so all counter-​tops are clean.)
I recommend MoreHands. The maids are always such a delight and they do great work and give you peace in your home. Also, they have online scheduling and who doesn’t enjoy not having to pick up a phone?

I never thought I would utilize housecleaning services as it seemed a bit bougie to me and something well off people use. However, my apartment really needed to be cleaned and I travel and work a lot to want to have to deal with it. Upon a friends recommendation I decided to give MoreHands a try and after reading reviews for MoreHands and other companies.
The first thing that I liked was how easy and upfront the online scheduler tool was. I was able to input the information and receive pricing right away versus submitting all my information and waiting for a quote. The website is very easy to use and the pricing is accurate.
Secondly, the team is very quick and responsive via email. I had a few questions and changes and I received a response right away! As a first timer, I can admit that I was a bit nervous and unsure of what to expect.
On the day of the cleaning, I thought they might come a bit earlier as I had requested they could enter as early as 8am. Since I booked late I assume that is why I didn’t get a confirmation of an estimated time of arrival. I had to leave the apartment that afternoon but was able to call and let them know where I left the key. While I was away they came and did their thing. I loved coming back to a clean and fresh smelling apartment! Everything is as spotless as it was when I moved in 2 years ago!!! I still don’t want to mess up anything especially the oven. haha. The staff who cleaned my apartment didn’t miss a thing and the attention to detail was spot on.
I will definitely use the service again. I’m not at home much to have a regular service but It is something I can see myself using once every 1 – 2 months.

I really wanted to like this service and gave them a second chance. Like other reviewers I feel that the service doesn’t match the price. Fans left un-​dusted, toothpaste on the bathroom floor, flies on the window, dishwasher not loaded, and dog hair all over the place.
Paid extra to have them come on a Friday, extra for having 3 bedrooms, extra for having 2 bathrooms, extra for having dogs, and extra for baseboard cleaning. Baseboards were left undone as well as the issues mentioned above. Called Richard immediately after they left, and was told he couldn’t have anyone back out till Monday. This is a bummer due to the baby shower scheduled for Saturday. The house was available at 8:30 a. m the crew didn’t arrive until after 1pm.
Also a bummer because my house never got that clean feel, by Monday we had 3 days of living accumulated and now they’ve come in and cleaned the spots they originally missed leaving clean spots to really accentuate the dirt.
When I pointed out the dirty spots on the bathroom door the QA woman told me that doors are not covered. Doors are an additional fee, which i thought I had paid, but it turns out she was right, in the sense that doors where not specifically listed in baseboard upgrade, but there is also no «DOOR» specific upgrade. However, when cleaning a baseboard and coming to a door, who stops cleaning the dirt because the surface has changed?!?
Long story short, MH has failed to win me over as a continued client, and if you are paying to have something cleaned they may not be the wisest investment.
Friendly staff, Nice manager, POOR WORKMANSHIP.
