One of the BEST cleanings my home has ever had! And, in truth, these women work hard enough for five stars. They are thorough, complete, take great direction, are friendly… So why 3 of 5 stars? There are a few reasons, and they appear small(on the surface), but I think they’re important for the overall investment in their company. I try to be fair in all my reviews, so… the first thing you should know is that these ladies are incredible at what they do! However. Price. Had it not been for a Groupon(I paid $ 60, and let me tell you, that was a STEAL for their services), there’s just no way I could have ever afforded them. They are, to date, the HUGEST quote I’ve ever gotten. In all fairness, I have around 2700 sq ft, but it’s not like I asked them to clean it all, either. I didn’t. There were four rooms they didn’t even enter, and two rooms that they walked through, but also didn’t clean. I’d estimate a combined 700 – 800 sq ft. So, when you look at it like that, I’d say I asked them to clean a medium sized home(and I feel like that’s being generous). My quote? $ 180. One cleaning(granted, this is an unlimited clean, unlike my Groupon, which limited me to two hours). It was a huge gasp to be sure. The two gals who normally come to clean my house do it for $ 75. I tip them $ 20 every time. Just as I tipped these two. So, in total, my clean was $ 80. And I think that was fair. In truth, I would have gone up to $ 80 with a $ 20 tip, so a total of $ 100. But $ 180, wow. That’s $ 11 a sq ft! The other thing was… despite paying for 2 hours, they were done in an hour and a half. That’s fine, I was fine to let them go, but I also felt that there were plenty of places where they could have maybe gone back, fixed a few things, or maybe cleaned a little more. But. again, to be fair. they did what I asked of them. No more, no less. The final thing that struck as a negative was that they didn’t bring some cleaning necessities with them on this trip. Apparently, they’d left their über-awesome vacuum at another customer’s house and it was too far away to make the trip to retrieve it. I understood, I had my own(which works wonders), but had I not? Or had I had a subpar vacuum like other people might own? It would have been a completely different story. And, really, had I been paying $ 180 for the privilege, I wouldn’t have loved it. Communication was simple with these ladies. In service industries, that can be SO important! When they come, they’ll ask what you’d like, and they don’t charge for the time it takes you to explain it to them(as they shouldn’t). I appreciated that, though. On the other hand. a downfall, at least for me, was that… if you’re a client with a particularly messy place, or say, you’ve asked them to do something that they’d consider gross(heck, I considered them gross), be prepared for them to tell your tale(no names! I want to make that clear! Just details.). One of the golden rules in housekeeping, as far as I’m concerned is… keep it to yourself. The unsolicited commentary… well, I just left praying they didn’t find anything to talk about.
