Minuteman Press Printing

I needed business cards for an event… with a 1-​day turnaround. I figured I was SOL, but someone recommended Minuteman Press to me and the good reviews here on Unilocal convinced me. It was really easy to upload my order via the web at 9pm, and received automated emails telling me that it was in their system and on its way. By 4:30pm the next day, they were ready. Saved my hide. And while I was willing to accept mediocre quality for the quick service (really, I just needed *something* to hand out), I was really impressed with the quality! I used color photos on the back of the cards and each image is densely printed with great color accuracy.

These guys are amazing at what they do! They printed my juice labels for a last minute project I had come up. When things didn’t turn out exactly how I planned due to MY designer’s mistake they went above and beyond to fix the labels and made them look wonderful! I highly recommended them for your next project. You will not be disappointed. :)

Before I tell the story let me just say, DAVID WAS AMAZING. If David isn’t the mananger/​owner of this location then they need to make that happen. He was polite and professional the whole time, often staying late to ensure the job got and this morning he even walked the merchandise out to my car because my hands were full. Amazing service, great pricing, epic turn around time. David literally saved the day.
I needed 3 stand up banners with customer artwork and 300 trifolds printed by today (10/​26/​2015). I originally called the Georgetown location of Minuteman and was told that for all this printing there is typically a 3 day turn around time. Great! I took a week and made the banners and the trifold, put all the files together and called the Georgetown location again to give them some money. They laughed (actually laughed) and said no, there was a 14 day turn around time and that no one there would have told me 3 days. I asked about expediting the job and they told me that I could do all my own design work and they could get it down to 10 days. This is 4 days before I have a flight to the conference at which I will display the banners and trifolds. I kindly informed them that they wouldn’t be getting out business and I’d call around. The woman on the phone was nice and said she’d talk to her team about speeding it further. Meanwhile, I called this location on W 6^th. They told me they could have it done in 2 days, no extra fees and no need to rush. I verified this with them probably 30 times and they were confident that they could get it done in time and they did. As of this morning I have 300 beautiful trifolds and 3 epic 7 foot banners displaying company name and information in some slick graphics and customer pictures.
P. S. The Georgetown emailed me two days after saying they would check on speeding things up and told me that my time frame was impossible and they couldn’t do it. They told me this on Friday for a job I had told them multiple times I needed on the following Monday. The austin location was already a day into production and had sent me two versions of proofs for my sign off.

These guys are awesome! They are super understanding and flexible. I’m always down to the wire with my print jobs, but they respond quickly, resend invoices and proofs, or willing to change my order amount. Their prices are also much better than the chains out there, like Office Depot. They have great customer service, and will do what they can to lower prices even more for you. I use them regularly!

Seriously? I ordered 4 color print brochures this morning and they are already delivered to my door. It just doesn’t get any better than that!

I can’t begin to describe how helpful this team was in getting my wedding invitations printed. They really truly went above and beyond in the customer service department, which at the end of the day is what doing business is really all about.
Don’t even keep shopping, you’ve found the team to work with. They are responsive, understanding, down to Earth, and friendly. Plus they over-​deliver on already impressive turnaround times. What more do you need?

When I first called Minuteman about getting a job done, I was told I would get an estimate at the end of the day. When I called two days later, the man I spoke to told me he forgot to send the estimate. Eventually, because I was now pressed for time to get this done, I sent him my files and proceeded without an estimate. He told me that he would send me proofs, again, by the end of the day.
Surprise — he didn’t send me proofs. I called the next day, and just told him to go ahead and do the job. He said it would be ready a few days later.
When I showed up on the day near close, they had half of the job done for me, so I had to wait in the office while they ran the second half of the job which they had forgotten about.
Finally, when I got the print job home, I noticed several of my table tents had strange characters (commas, different letters) in place of letters that were originally accented. (On one of my table tents, the name José became Jos,). While this could’ve been my fault, I checked back at the original files to make sure there were no errors. Perhaps the accents got screwed up when I sent the files to Minuteman, but I don’t know. Either way, I would’ve appreciated it if they had checked them for errors, or at least remembered to send me proofs.
All in all, although the price was reasonable and most of the job was completed well, the customer service was really lacking. They forgot to send me an estimate, proofs, and forgot half of my print job until I reminded them about it while I was picking it up. Just getting the job done with them required me to constantly call and remind them to do things, which was definitely a one-​off & frustrating experience.

When I needed my sister’s baby shower invitations printer ASAP, Josh at Minuteman Press was my savior! Not only did he ensure my order was ready before the day’s end, but he also allowed me to pick them up after closing when I got stuck in traffic. The invitations came out exactly as I had imagined! For 60 full color invitations printed the same day (really, within mere hours of ordering), I paid less than $ 0.75/each! Had I planned a little better and not had to order them rush, they would have only been about $ 0.33/each. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience with Minuteman Press. Highly recommended!

I have ordered from here several times. They are fast and their prices are reasonable. BUT if you are looking for a place that uses their brain. Go somewhere else. They do their own design work here, but are in a hurry so be prepared for several revisions and an attitude if you want more. I ordered post cards this past week and asked for a line down the middle on the back (like most post cards duh!) and I got a horizontal line. Wow. That was not smart. They said they sent me a proof, but I did not see it and who needs to proof one line that the entire population of the USofA knows. Long story short, expect good prices, but brainless service and watch everything they do. If not, you will be forced by bickering collage kids to pay full price for something you can’t use. I won’t go back and I’m here 2x a month.

After dealing with the hell of working with F**Ex print for more than a year for my business, I had resigned to thinking that all printing companies were like that. Every time I went in, it was worse and worse.
And then I met Minuteman — FRIENDLY, FAST, CHEAP, great quality, so helpful, so personable, and I couldn’t believe it was possible! Thank you Minutemen for making printing enjoyable and easy!

I was really pleased that Minuteman was able to turn around a sizable last-​minute 5-​part sticker print job… with no drama and no rush fees, even exceeding their tight time estimates by a day — and all for a rate 200% better than I could find anywhere else. They were super friendly and very efficient. I was pleased to be able to use a local printer, and more than satisfied with the experience. I definitely plan to use them again in the future.

Yeesh… while we are excited to relocate our business to Austin (90% of which requires print products) I am not thrilled about the inconsistency re: customer service with Minuteman. These guys come up short.
We are printing posters for a client, an artist that has worked on Game of Thrones, etc. I wanted to proof the artwork before printing, to maintain continuity of course. No problem there, although the guy argued with me that I should go glossy over matte. Not a practical suggestion, argumentative. I wanted matte… he printed the order on glossy anyway. It’s a small detail but the pompous arrogance and lackluster demeanor was a bit much.
I’ve worked as a Graphic Designer for many years… I know what I WANT and needed to see a proof, first. On the material I asked for, I wanted to SEE the color saturation on THAT material by THAT machine, but Mr. Fast Fingers thought he got one over on me. I had uploaded the files a day prior and never heard back. I went up there, that’s when he opened the email and reviewed the files.
I was actually reprimanded for sending «…too many files, I mean, one would have done it.» Indignant much. I sent the .PDF, and .AI files because I was concerned about a resolution issue and provided the additional files… I figured brainiac could make necessary adjustments on the fly. My bad.
I was satisfied with the overall quality and the Street Corner prices. I decided to give them another shot and made a flyer for a promotion and sent it to them… not realizing they’re closed on the weekends. That’s fine… waited to hear back this afternoon, no reply. Called to micromanage, was nice but they decided to add a «rush fee» which is $ 20– nearly 70% of the ACTUAL job’s printing quote.
I won’t be back… with the mass printing, deadlines and quality we need in the future, this mediocrity won’t cut it.
Y’know, my gut told me not to go with the franchise guy, and I needed these on the fly… realize it’s a small order but definitely testing the waters for larger print jobs. And while they offer rock bottom pricing, I’ll happily pay more to see a smiling face, support local and our clients will appreciate that too.

An extremely positive experience.
Getting some last minute images printed for a, well, rushed grand opening, Dave came through in the clutch.
I needed some large prints done, 24×36. They needed to be framed and on the walls by Saturday at 10am. I placed the order mid afternoon on Wednesday. Stopped down to pick the photos up 30min after the store closed on Friday and the still accommodated me. The prints looked great, but since they require a days time to dry, a couple of the large images had blemishes (due to my need for them to be rushed).
Dave, again, came through by delivering the reprinted images to our location at 7am the next morning (on a Saturday, mind you).
They earned all of our future business with this outstanding customer service and professionalism!

I needed to get my Save the Dates printed. I got a quote from another place. It was $ 40 over Minuteman Press. Then I get to Minuteman and the actual charge is $ 20 less than originally quoted! Fantastic! The staff is really nice and will gladly help you and answer questions. They have their own lot so parking is a breeze. I might come here to get my invites printed as well!

I’ve used them twice now and they’ve gotten it perfect every time. My last trip there, I accidentally ordered in mm versus cm and they were happy to reprint although it was Friday and near closing time.
Sometimes they lack the friendly smile or «Hi there, how can I help you» attitude when you walk in, but they aren’t rude or dismissive. For the quality of the work, I don’t mind this.
Bonus: They have a decent parking lot and paper cutter you can ask to borrow.

When my boss gave me 1000 coupons to hand write a expiration date and disclaimer on, I knew that was not going to be fun & efficient so I started calling different printing shops downtown and was turned off by the rudeness of employees. Why was nobody willing to help me? Well, that’s where Minuteman came in and saved the day.
I spoke with Kerry who told me to go in and they would be able to help me. I drove down 6^th street and would have missed the entrance if it wasn’t for the large sign that says ‘Minuteman Press Printing’ (right before WINFLO). She was really helpful and told me that they could print & stick the labels onto the 1,000 coupons.
But wait, they didn’t have the coupon size I needed so I had to buy them myself? Okay, I could do that. I stopped at the OfficeMax down the street, picked up labels & went to drop them off at Minuteman. Oh, now they tell me that you cannot print on this certain kind of label & the printers only use laser compatible labels? Well, that would have been helpful the first time around. I went back & exchanged the labels then dropped off the correct ones. PHEW.
Once they had the right kind of labels, box of coupons and told they would be done in 2 days I was happy. She emailed me a proof of what the label would look like and after a few back & forth emails, they got started.
They were ready when I needed them, looked great, only cost $ 104 for the printing + application (plus $ 20 for the labels I bought myself) and Kerry was very nice and professional.
I’d use Minuteman again, as long as I had all the details of what was going on before going on a wild label chase!

My best friend was getting married and as MOH it was my duty to organize her bridal shower. Problem is, she lives in a different state so I was doing all the planning and coordinating states away! She was inviting 80 people (yes, 80) so I didn’t really want to purchase invites online at like 2 $+ a pop. I had someone on Etsy create a super cute digital invite for me & then I was off to look for a printing company that wasn’t going to charge me outrageously. Thanks to you Unilocalers– seriously, I use this site for everything, because let’s be honest. Unilocalers don’t lie! After reading the numerous awesome reviews, I headed over on my lunch break with the file on a USB and walked out about 20 minutes later with a price quote of 56 $(that was for 100 color invites cut to 5×7 and 100 matching envelopes to boot!) SCORE! They called me about 3 days later to let me know I could pick them up. when I arrived, I noticed the color of the invites was way off and so I compared it to the proof they printed me a few days prior. They too noticed it and explained that someone probably just ran them through the wrong printer. They offered to re-​do them for me, no charge of course, and they would be ready the next day! Talk about great service.
I was pleased with their (finished) work, and will definitely be back.
I wish they were open on Saturdays (even if only for a few hours). For someone who works Mon-​Fri 8 to 5 its hard to get over there during the week!

These people are unbelievable. They are ridiculously fast, unbelievably cheap, and they can print just about anything… things you have never thought of. On top of all that they have a staff of knowledgeable, likeable human beings who are pleasant to talk to and never irritated with your insane deadline.
Tell your friends about this place and they will thank you!!!

There’s that old adage that out of fast, cheap and good, you can only have two. Somehow, Minuteman manages to nail all three. Their prices range from good to insanely low, turnaround is quick and the quality is consistently excellent. Several people have complimented me on the UV-​coated business cards they made for me, and I’ve also been impressed with the fliers and newsletters I’ve ordered.
They partner with Motorblade, which means that it’s effortless to get fliers printed and posted all over town. In fact, it’s cheaper to do the Motorblade-​Minuteman combo than it is to photocopy fliers at another print shop and post them yourself.
They remind me of why I go out of my way to support local businesses. The one time I did have a problem with my order, they were honest and apologetic and fixed the issue immediately. This is so different from bad experiences I’ve had with mega-​big-​box chains and online printers that I was almost left speechless.
These guys are so nice that they even printed extra copies of my dog training newsletter to give to their own vet.
I’m rarely as happy with any company as I have been with Minuteman Press Printing. You’d be crazy to use an online printer when we have such a great resource in our own city.
