Michael’s Craft Store

This Micheal’s location is fairly new, between the Lakeline Alamo and the Lakeline HEB Plus. Although it is a newer location, there’s not much new to this Micheal’s as compared to other stores in the area. They do have a great amount of craft items — not as much sewing stuff as Joann’s, and not as much décor stuff as Hobby Lobby. They are still a really decent option for craft stuff. I also like them because they are a fantastic option to not shopping at Hobby Lobby, (yah, that whole thing) and so this Micheal’s is my first choice for a craft store in my area.
Why three stars then? Why the lower rating? Eh, you know honestly I really wish they would carry more stock of things. For example, I went in looking for calligraphy pens and they just didn’t have a lot of options. I ended up ordering pens off Amazon and crossing my fingers, hoping they’d be the ones I needed instead. I also went looking for Christmas stickers a few weeks ago. They had a lot of Christmas stuff out, but their Christmas sticker selection was one tiny section of not so great options. They apparently just didn’t have them all put out on the shelves yet — I went two days ago and they had a good stock. So, three stars for improvements needed in quantity of stock and options. Otherwise, you’ll definitely find me here — the employees are decent and I can always find a coupon on my phone to use which is great.
