Touch is the fundamental medium of massage therapy. While massage can be described in terms of the type of techniques that I perform, as in Deep, Swedish, Sports & Myofascial Release. Massage also has an artistic component. Knowledge combined w/vast intuition is everything that is important for giving a delectable, quality massage. Because massage usually involves applying touch with some degree of pressure & movement, I use a sensitive touch in order to determine the optimal amount of pressure to use for each person. Touch used with sensitivity also allows me to receive useful information through my hands about the client’s body, such as locating areas of muscle tension and other soft tissue problems. My touch is also a form of communication. My intention for this sensitive nature is to convey a sense of caring, which is an essential element in the therapeutic relationship between myself & my client. In my practice, I combine several techniques to provide a soothing, yet effective massage.
History
Established in 2002.
After graduating from Lautestein Conway Massage School in 2002, I opened my first office in a Chiropractor’s office at Spicewood Springs and Mopac. I loved working with my clientele there. I was able to offer healing therapy to many patients with debilitating pains and injuries. It was quite a rewarding experience, which I am extremely grateful for.
While continuing my practice there, I also began doing massage for an upper scale Spa in the Lake Travis area. There, I was able to increase my knowledge by incorporating body treatments to my massage practice, that didn’t seem to fit the Chiropractic environment. After a few years, I closed down that practice & began a mobile practice, while continuing at the spa. When I became pregnant with my 3 yr old, I decided to take a break from the industry altogether & obtained my Real Estate license so I could continue to work as well as focus on my mom duties. Now, I am back in business doing Massage & Real Estate; flipping properties!
