This McDonalds has electronic games mounted on their walls and free wifi. Went in because I was waiting for my car to get an oil change at the neighboring Precision Tune. Got my usual cup of coffee and an Egg White Delight, hold the Canadian bacon and wasted 2 hours of my life there waiting for my car to get done. The free wifi helped curb my boredom and the touch-screen games were amusing. But thats about it.

I will eat McDonald’s when it’s called for. I expect ketchup. There was not ketchup included with my cheeseburger and fries. I don’t keep ketchup around and now I’m out of luck. Extremely disappointing, sadly. Apparently one must ask for the basic right of ketchup.

It seems like the more I go to McDonald’s, the more I realize I shouldn’t even bother with the dining room. They don’t care about what goes on in the dining room. I ordered a Café Mocha. The lady behind the counter asked me «Ice Coffee?» I said«Ice Mocha» again and pointed at the menu. She finally found the button for it? I’m not sure. Then I had to wait 15 minutes to get an ICECOFFEE. So I say, «That’s an Ice Mocha, right» and she immediately took it away, didn’t say sorry, didn’t say anything and I waited for another five minutes while she attended the cash register. I wasn’t sure whether she had even bothered to put in an order. Finally another employee came and helped me after I looked upset. I was just about to get the manager and try to get a refund. The problem I have is not the mistake, it’s the fact that she completely ignored me after she made it and didn’t try to get it for me personally. McDonald’s doesn’t train it’s employees about a MINIMUM level of customer service. You don’t even have to smile at me, but you can at least acknowledge a mistake and try to take care of it. I used to come here a lot, but I don’t think I will any more. There are plenty of other locations. I mainly come for the free WI Fi. It’s no wonder McDonald’s is losing market share. Their food was never that high quality to begin with and now customer service is seriously slipping.

Literally every time I try to go here late night(1−3AM) they pull this bullshit line«we’re doing system shutdown right now» it’s like, bitch, I know you’re not doing«system shutdown» that’s bullshit. It’s a pathetic staff that just doesn’t want to work

After I sat down and ordered my food I found a spider crawling around. I immediately took it to the front. The front staff management was annoyed I bothered to ask for a refund. No sorry or nothing. Just threw my money on the counter and went back to what they were doing. When mcdonalds is steadily losing customers why wouldn’t they want to make sure people were taken care of? I will make sure never to go to this location again… Update: I got a call from someone that handles McDonalds communications. She kept trying to sell me on the fact that they donate to organizations over and over again, without even addressing that they failed in customer service or it was going to be taken care of. Plus, by far, she was very rude on the phone. All of my calls are recorded and I wish I could post it here. I see where the staff gets their rudeness from…

They didn’t include my fries in the bag though I paid for them. I would have turned around and gone back to get them but I didn’t feel like it so I’m leaving a shitty review instead. Get your act together and clog my arteries like you’re supposed to, McDonald’s.

Mc Donald’s food is Mc Donald’s food, at this location as in all others, so I will be writing this review with that in mind(read: I am not basing it on the quality of the food, which you should be completely prepared for when you walk into Mc D’s.) The service here is the worst. THEABSOLUTEWORST. I mean, the only appeal Mc Donald’s has ever had is that you walk in, eye something cheap, order, and walk out, all in like 5 minutes, right? But life isn’t that simple, Unilocalers… not at this Mc Donald’s, at least. The first time I came here, I ordered a special which was not only advertised on TV but was also up on their billboard. I was informed by a teenager who could’ve used better parenting that«No, we don’t do that.» When I asked what she meant she just shrugged. I asked to speak to a manager. She said OK, and proceeded to do other stuff until I reminded her that I was waiting for a manager. I’m not sure what possessed me to wait, because the manager was about 2% more informative and about equally helpful in his response. So, after waiting for 15 minutes I didn’t receive a reasonable explanation, nor an apology. I left empty-handed. I would’ve never returned, by my friend and neighbor had some sort of insane Mc Donald’s craving one night and we decided it could not be that bad. We went in, Mr. Useless Manager was there along with another employee,(but this time they were willing to take my money in exchange for food, woohoo!) and we were asked if we wanted it for here or to go. After a half minute debate we decided to get it for-here. We proceeded to wait an unreasonable time for our food, then get to our table and start eating. I am not joking, less than 5 minutes later the manager comes by and tells us they are closing in 3 minutes so we need to leave. What in the name of burgers? Why the hell didn’t he mention that minutes ago, when we were deciding to get the food for here? I’ve never been at a food place, fast food or otherwise, where they kick people out at closing time. He did not apologize or offer any explanation, he just repeated that we need to leave because«people wanna go home.» Yeah, I’m sure being a rude man with a promising career at Mc Donald’s makes you want to get home ASAP, but that is no excuse to be crappy to innocent customers. Thus I file this place under NEVERAGAIN. Dan’s is next door, Whataburger is across Lamar, and there’s another Mc D.‘s on Burnet. All of these are way better options.

Fast food will never be five stars but the morning after you move it’s a necessity! This location was pretty quiet but the lady at the register was really nice. I ordered a coffee, fruit and yogurt parfait and a bacon egg and cheese bagel. I have to say the bagel was soft, fresh and warm. Usually they are chewy! I was actually impressed because its been a long while since I have had McDonald’s breakfast!

This is for the very very low quality salads. I feel slightly less bad eating here when I add a salad, but the side salad is simply terrible. It’s almost entirely just a bowl of rotten lettuce which no other restaurant or supermarket could possibly get away with serving.

Normally, I wouldn’t bother to write a review for McDonald’s but this one has failed so phenomenally that it really deserves a crappy review. I was excited to see the new interior, which really is pretty; too bad the employees don’t really feel the need to clean it. I’ve been in twice and both times the person working the register seemed confused, at best. The first time, the order was cold and incorrect, and we had to ask for cups. The second visit, we stood in line behind a man whose order was wrong, and next to the woman whose burger he got. Surrounding them was a group of very sad, put-out looking customers waiting for their food. This is McDonald’s, the food is supposed to just about magically appear. Five customers waiting? Meh! After remembering the fiasco of our first visit(thanks to the others standing around) we hightailed it out of there and down the street to Whataburger(where the chicken nuggets actually resembled chicken when you bite them). Additionally, all the employees were standing around in the back looking dazed and confused(not in a «hey, I’m high and having fun» way, either) and doing very little work. Where’s the manager/owner of this place? Why would you spend so much money to make it look nice and then let lazy, unmotivated employees ruin it? Much better McDonald’s elsewhere.

It is really pretty to look at the new location but the service sucks. They are so rushed trying to get people out of there they are screwing up orders. This would be my 3rd bad experience but this is the closest location to me until the one in Capital Plaza is renovated. This time I only ordered 1 thing… I ordered a Large Ice Tea ½ sweet/½ unsweet,(because the tea is good but the sweet is extremely sweet). The guy hands me my drink and I leave, get to office and its all unsweet. I guess my bad for making such a complex request.

One of my kung fu students mom’s is a manager here so I thought I would come by and try it out … I am not a chain hater or a fast food hater but honestly I rarely have traditional fast food anymore … only the breakfast sandwiches and only when traveling. So I got something I had not gotten in ions … a quarterpounder meal. It tasted as expected, the fries were good but not great(they were not hot). This day when I went down their monitors were clitchy so the quarterpounder was not up on the menu… wow! for what was up there they now put the calories which effectively kept me from getting a regular soda and kept me from eating on my fries. The place had recently been torn down and completely rebuilt with a loungy less plasticy feel. TVs and comfortable seats. Overall, it is what it is. McDonald’s… does anyone really read reviews to decide to go hear? Anywho… I still like In and Out Burger Better BUT if someday fast food turned out to be good for me … I would eat here everyday. :-)

I come here now and then during Austin Go Club meetings and tournaments. The service is always fast and friendly. The food is consistent. The crowd is diverse – from young families to retirees. The interior is huge and open. The main reason I go to McDonalds is for the coffee. The coffee is tasty – almost as tasty as your typical convenience store coffee(which have the French vanilla and hazelnut additives on hand). I think it is tastier than Starbucks, too. Their coffee is also much cheaper than the equivalent from nearby independent coffeeshops. The parking lot is spacious and traffic flow is clear. This McDonalds is the south neighbor of O’Reilly Auto Parts. I look forward to my next visit here.

Sometimes you want McDonalds or a quick meal. This one is near work and I end up there maybe once every other month. I need to stop giving them any business since I have never gotten the correct order. 100% of my visits there have been wrong.

The food is the food. It’s McDonalds – get over it. Only eaten there once because I’ll never go back. Staffed by a bunch of lazy self-absorbed kids. Ordered. Disinterested cashier. Paid. Standing there waiting for my cup. Cashier walks off. Cashier comes back and messes with fry machine. Ask him for my cup. He comes up empty handed and starts to find me one but stops TWOSTEPS into his search because the manager and three other employees are talking about who can go home. Still waiting. He walks off for good. Have to ask a lady for a cup and she just gives me one size larger(how hard is that?) Sit down. Wait 15 minutes. No food. Was listening for my number the entire time. Go up. Even though the order is in the computer, the food just apparently never got made. I get my food and sit down(at the other end of the restaurant). Then for the next 20 minutes I get to hear one of the on-the-clock employees talk/argue very loudly with two of the girls who were cut. Incredibly unprofessional on all fronts. Atmosphere killed my appetite. I wouldn’t let any of these people(captain is responsible for the actions of his/her crew so the manager is included in that list) run my lemonade stand. Go to Dan’s Hamburgers next door and save yourself the hassle.

I think about 75% of the time I get the wrong order from this McDonalds. Sometimes I get the wrong change which is a good thing if you like to gamble because there’s always the chance you’ll get back more than you were supposed to have paid. In the summer of 2003 the situation at this McDonalds was so bad that I called the corporate headquarters to complain about this location. They told me it doesn’t exist. The only explanation I can come up with is that this McDonalds is run by anti-American terrorists who have gone so far as to squat out this restaurant, hijack trucks to fuel their supply, and are fucking up your order just to make you hate McDonalds. I’m not saying the one on Lamar and Rundburg is better, but it is more consistent and may actually be a legitimate McDonalds.
