Magnum Trailers

When intending to drop off my trailer for repair work, I was informed that the person with whom I needed to speak had left for the day but should be back on Monday. After the weekend, I tried to call both the "800" and local commercial phone numbers and discovered that they have set them for messages and email ONLY. No voice contact is possible. It seems potential customers are considered to be impediments to what they wish to do on business days. GO ELSEWHERE. Don't waste your time here.

I had a great experience buying a small cargo trailer here.
–The staff was helpful and polite
–I bugged these poor salesman several times over the phone the last few days trying to get all the info I needed to get the right hitch for my passenger van and they were patient with me
–When I arrived at their 620 location I had a small amount of time to see, purchase and load the trailer and Steve made the process very easy for me.
I highly recommend giving them a visit if you are in need of their assistance.

I came in, literally hobbling to this place. I like to think of myself as being a pretty tough person, I’ve been thrown off horse is a good 50 times or so, and I don’t have a problem getting a physical job done. But when I am obviously moving stiffly, as a young female on my own hauling a stock trailer in, and They don’t offer to drop the trailer for me, that kind of rubs me the wrong way. The guy literally stood there and watched me do it. It was aggravating, because I was moving slowly, because of my back injury. And he just stared. He could’ve at least had the decency to walk away and let me do it in peace on my own.
Aside from that, they tried to get me on an axle repair for the second time, I took this trailer into another place for a second opinion, absolutely no problem with the axle!
Trouble is, I had an axle repair done by them on this trailer about a year ago. And I asked them to throw the old axle on the trailer, I don’t know a whole lot of mechanical work, so I wanted to take the old axle to show to a friend of mine who works on vehicles and he said by no means does it look like you needed to repair this axle. There goes $ 1200 down the drain. And then they try to do the same exact thing to me again! These are bad people. I would definitely go in for a second opinion somewhere else they are claiming that you need some kind of major repair.
I understand that in a jam, when these trailer companies get really busy, you may need to just get something done. But beware of any kind of claim that you need something large done. Second opinion, second opinion! Because these people will nickel and dime you, and take your money if they can. Especially if you walk in without a strong aptitude for mechanical work.

I read many of the reviews here and it’s interesting how much of a twisted view you can get. Unfortunately, people sometimes are quick to be negative and talk about it but when they have a great experience, they don’t say anything.
I went here thinking I would likely get crappy service and really wasn’t looking forward to being treated like a child just because I didn’t know about trailers.
What I got was honestly a very nice experience! I went by twice, first time looking for a specific type of trailer (though I didn’t know exactly what that was cause I don’t know much about trailers). I just knew the rough size I needed and how much it had to haul. The gentleman who worked with me was knowledgable and patient. I asked a ton of questions, many stupid (maybe all of them were stupid to him, who knows) and he answered them and gave me all the info I needed and then some.
Over the next 10 days things hanged and so did my need for he trailer. When I went back, I ended up with the same man. He remembered me and some of the details. Though he was basically starting over with me since I now needed a completely different type of trailer, he was completely friendly and helpful. We went through the process and all was good.
I had done a little searching on line so knew the price range is be in. The trailer he showed me seems to be a great trailer and was for a very good price. I didn’t find a better price on line for a new trailer. Even most of the used ones were similar prices or just too beat up.
I must mention that the guys in the main entrance who aren’t the trailer sales guys are also friendly and nice. They greeted me right away and called for a sales guy and told me to let them know if I needed anything.
I am a small business owner. I survive on good service. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this place.
I guess it goes to show any place or company can have bad moments. You just gotta give them a chance to fix it. And sometimes you may have to be patient and understanding.
If I have issues in the future, I will update this review but I don’t foresee any problems.

Staff is rude and condescending. They look down on you if you ask questions they think you should already know. The
owner/​manager is even worse. Do business somewhere else.

Very helpful. They were outside waiting gif us. It took less than 5 minutes to get what we needed and all. Had very helpful advice and reasonable as well. Was only 20 bucks for the oil bath cap for trailer axel.

My friend bought a nice trailer from them in the last week. Unfortunately my friend had an accident and passed away, so his widow was left with a trailer she did not need or use, so I brought it back to the store and sales person was very understanding and provided a full refund. The money was well needed, so it was greatly appreciated. This is what integrity is all about. I give these guys five stars and will definitely use Magnum for my trailering needs in the future.

These guys are great! I went in to purchase a grill and I was amazed by their customer service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted at the door. The guy I talked to knew how to operate the grills and the differences between the grills. I wound up getting a smoker. It was pretty big so I got it delivered. My food has never tasted better. I’m saving money now that I cook my own food. The guys from Army Ant Moving dropped the grill off at my house because it was so heavy. They handled the heavy grill with ease. I would highly recommend the people at Magnum Trailers if you need a grill or smoker. They are the best!

Earlier this month I had decided to purchase a new Bobcat trailer. As I had purchased several trailers before and had also purchased various parts and equipment from Magnum Trailers on Hwy 620 in Austin, and I had always been satisfied, I went straight back to them. As I was explaining to the salesman what I wanted, he very rudely interrupted me and said, «If I would shut up long enough for him to talk, he would be able to help me, but otherwise he is just going to shut up and let me talk,» then said «go ahead and talk.» I started to explain to him if he would listen and find out exactly what I wanted it would save us both time. Then I decided there was no point talking further to this salesman and I told him I would purchase my trailer somewhere else. Although I did want a Big Tex Trailer, I said I would just get it somewhere else. After a while I realized I owed it to the owner of Magnum Trailers to let them know how this particular salesman is talking to customers. I called and spoke with a woman who said she was in a supervisory position and would get the message to the owner. I never heard back from anyone which told me either the owners did not care or they did not get the message. A couple of days later my son noticed that there is a Big Tex Trailer outlet near Kyle/​Buda on IH-​35. I called there and spoke to Justin and he said to come on in — that if he did not have the trailer I wanted, he could have it built and delivered in a few days. I did purchase my trailer from them and I believe I saved a substantial amount of money, got the exact trailer I wanted, and was actually treated respectfully. After a few weeks, and being a retired business owner, I wanted to make sure the owners of Magnum Trailers knew about what happened to me so I called back and talked to another lady who said she would make sure the two owners received the message, but also said they were busy right now. Since I had already made up my mind never to purchase anything from Magnum Trailers again, and the owners don’t care enough to address this problem, I decided to post this on-​line. After all how would I have felt if I had been talked to this way after purchasing a $ 5,000 trailer. I fully recommend Big Tex Trailers in Buda. Bill Hughston

We purchased a 24 foot enclosed cargo trailer from the Georgetown Location and they made the process friendly, simple and fast. The men who work there are good people and treat you with respect. The trailer is just what we expected and is doing its job perfectly. I recommend Magnum Trailers for your truck, trailer and even Texas style BBQ grill needs!

Pretty much sums it up. Been trying to order a part for my truck thru them for the last two weeks. They still haven’t ordered it.
If you’re not buying one of their overpriced trailers, they don’t care about you. The first «Chris L» review is so obviously an employee I almost threw up reading it.
Do yourself a favor and don’t even waste your time with them.
I got the part elsewhere, quicker, and for cheaper.

I hope to never do business with these arrogant clowns.
I’ve been shopping around for a smaller-​sized custom trailer to hook-​up to my car. So I went to Magnum Trailers on 620 in North Austin to see what they had. They have a big selection that you can see as you’re driving on 620.
I walk in there and the jerk at the counter looks at me and says «what do you want» with an attitude… like I’m causing him trouble because he had to take his eyes off the computer screen for a moment.
I told him what I was looking for and he called someone in sales to come to the front.
I fellt like they had no interest in my business and that I was a hindrance to them.
I walked out of there saying to myself — what a bunch of nuckle heads. I hope to NEVER do business with them.
If you need them for something, be prepared to be treated like a doormat.
A friend told me that if you’re not filthy rich or one of their big commercial accounts, they don’t give a darn about your business. Yep, exactly right!
I ended up buying the hitch from UHaul and the trailer from «The Trailer Man» in Manor. Happy with both.

You are a grumpy ass worthless SOB. Horrible customer communication, bad attitude etc. Try looking at the customer when dealing with them.
You made no effort to solve my problem but instead kept saying” that’s what the book says”…what would you do without the book? Clueless!
I went to advanced auto and they fixed me up in 5 minutes and YOU are suppose to be the trailer expert.
It must suck to be an unhappy SOB.

Stopped in one day to work on a trailer here for work and was impressed with all the different types of trailers and other items they make at this place.
If you need a special trailer made for your truck or car, they can do it, if you need a special BBQ pit made for a park or your backyard, they can do it as well. Just draw them an idea of what it is your looking for and they will put it together. No job to big or small for them to handle. They also design other things you might want, maybe a special playground or cart to haul around. Just ask.
The service inside was good for mostly a male oriented environment. The bathroom could be enlarged some but other than that its ok. They also have items out for sale that are already pre-​made so you can come and look around.
