Love this place, though every time I go in I spend way too much money. They are always helpful, and willing to give me samples of whatever it is that I want to try. All in all, its a fun place, and I am always satisfied with the product.

There are so many things that smell like or look like other things here. Powder that is shampoo, playdough that you rub all over your body, children’s dried out clay craft projects that smell like tea and crumpets. Nothing here is what you think it is. It’s like a bizarro world candy shop. If it looks like a gummy bear, and smells like a gummy bear, and jiggles like a gummy bear then it’s made to squish in your hair and probably is better at preventing split ends than tasting delicious. My wife bought soap here.

One, I love their products! Two, everyone who works here is SO nice! They are so helpful and go above and beyond! Much love!

I really love Lush products. The prices may be high when first looking but the quality of everything really makes it worth it; you’ll find yourself coming back for more before you know it.
The service I was given was outstanding! I was only in the shop for a few minutes but I was approached by three different staff members asking if I was finding everything well and if I needed help.
The only downside is how packed it gets. Really that attests to the quality of service and products; that everyone flocks to this great store, but it is easy to get claustrophobic if you come in during a chaotic time.

Who doesn’t love lush? If you’re a fragrance junkie this place is for you!
This location has friendly and knowledgably staff, but the parking sucks most of the time. Better to park down the street and walk, so you can enjoy the shops and eateries along the way.
This location is consistently well stocked and organized. I personally love the bath bombs, FRESH face masks and lotions. They carry a variety of other stuff including shampoos, conditionals, oils, ect. Any bath product you can think of they’ve got.

Love it! The products are amazing. I wish I could afford to buy all of them but I’m busy paying off student loans. They let you sample everything. Every staff member is friendly without being pushy, or following you around like you’re trying to steal something.
My favorite products are 1) Lovely Jubblies for the girls. It really does firm them up AND it smells wonderful 2) Silky underwear dusting powder. I use it on my armpits for the delightful smell and I don’t believe in traditional deodorant. I also use it on my inner thighs to prevent chafing during long walks or running.

I’ve been using Lush for a while (a few years), but I had never actually gone into a Lush store up until a few weeks ago. (I’m a hermit and I believe in heavy online shopping, sorry!) I’m a huge fan of their fresh cosmetic policy, and bath bombs in particular.
It took me a bit to find the 6^th St location because I was expecting it to be in the little shoppe across from Central Market, but it’s literally across the street from there, behind 24/​Waterloo. I went in for some bath bombs, specifically a few galaxy ones, but ended up walking out with a huge variety of things mostly because of their great sales staff. They walked me through pretty much everything I looked at (and god knows that took a while so sorry again!) — excluding the bath bombs — and were super knowledgeable about product ingredients, usage and sensitivity issues. I have super sensitive skin, and the woman who assisted me was hella helpful when it came to knowing which products wouldn’t end up turning me into a rash-​monster; I’ve had a few problems with stuff I’ve bought from online turning my skin into not-​quite-​pink shades, so I’m always a little weary of new skincare products.
Good news? EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. Seriously, no sensitivity/​skin problems, and I got all the bath bombs I possibly need for at least another… well, hopefully another month, but let’s see how that goes.
I would say my only problem with the store was the size! Knock out a wall somewhere and make it somewhat bigger, haha; I could see parking being an issue if there’s a lot of people around, but I was fortunate enough to be downtown at a low-​traffic time.

I’ve been a Lush user for over 6 years. I’ve always believed in their fresh cosmetic policy and have never had problems with their products either.
That being said, maybe it’s the location that makes me not want to go there. Congress may be the crème de la Crème when it comes to retail real estate, but with practically no parking and lousy roads, it just makes us folks who live up north cringe at the very thought to going all the way.
The store as such is small. The employees are nice. So sorry to put it this way, but they’re like a bunch of lovesick puppies who constantly want to please and they follow you around the same way. Sometimes, maybe I dunno what I want. Id like to browse without being hounded. A little bit of personal space will work wonders.
The prices aren’t cheap, but the quality speaks for itself.
I really wish they open up another store that caters to the non elite non downtowners.

I love Lush, but this site is not ideal. The parking keeps me from coming here more often. Also, the store is small and on occasion they have been out of something I was looking for. I bought my usual fresh farmacy on my last visit, and I don’t know if it was a bum batch or if I did something wrong, but it’s way too soft and crumbly. I’ve bought this several times before and never had this problem. It still does the job, but it just doesn’t stay in one piece.
Other than that, staff is friendly, knowledgeable, cheerful, and really helpful! I wish I got the gal’s name, but she turned me on to the big conditioner and it’s amazing! It leaves my hair big, soft, and smelling divine. If only it was a little cheaper. I got a $ 20 block and it gave me four applications. Just four. Sadness. I already need more.
Yay Lush!

I came in for the amazing deodorant recommended by my son’s girlfriend. She continued to tell me about it and after the third time I finally decided «uh oh» better get some quick.
Susi, a perfect employee and tour guide of the shop, directed me immediately to their fabulous solid cake deodorants. The Teo deodorant is fantastic! I’m a sweater. I work out for an hour every day and then add in Zumba and yoga and dancing and outside in the sun, and well, you get sweat. Lots of it. This stuff works wonders!
I’m also newly hooked on the luscious «I Love Juicy» shampoo. Kiwi, pineapple, mango and papaya are used to create this magical hair elixir. It does not have any of those smells but does have a sweet scent. My hair loves this product.

Dear Lush,
I love you. I’ll always love you. You are so crowded on the weekend though. So, so crowded.
Lush has the nicest staff of anywhere around and they’re ready and willing to help out at any turn. Sometimes, I feel like they’re a little too eager though, which can be a little annoying since I’m a Lushie for Life (okay, the last three years or so) and when I come in, I pretty much know exactly what I’m after. I do like to sample new things and they’re more than happy to get you a little something to take home and try if you ask.
On my last visit, I bought my go-​to facial cleanser, and noticed it was packaged in an unmarked «pod» with a store printed label. My first red flag should have been that it had no packed on date and no expiration date. If you shop at Lush you know that the packaging is pretty standard, pretty, basic black stickers with a round packaging sticker that includes a photo of the person who packed your product, when, and a «best if used by» date. It wasn’t there. My second red flag should have been when the cashier mentioned that the rumor was that they were «retiring» this product. It usually lasts me three months, so I figured I’d cross that bridge when I came to it. I bought it without opening it, and when I peeked inside at home, I found a dried out mess that was nowhere near what I normally use. Shame on me for ignoring the warning signals. To Lush’s credit, I exchanged it for a different facial cleanser the next day. But I couldn’t help but feel like maybe, just maybe, there was a possibility that Lush repackaged «less than fresh’, possibly «retiring» items, in order to move them out of the store rather than throw them away. I don’t know that that happened for sure, but it left me feeling a little funky about the way things were packaged, and the way this product that I’ve used numerous times, was presented on this particular purchase.
Still gets four stars because this was a weird anomaly in my otherwise happy Lush life.
The bath bombs and bubble bars are the safe bet if you’re new to Lush, but I am over the moon in love with the results I get from their skin care line. Shampoo will be next for me if I can get over the sticker shock.
Parking is bad on the weekends. It just is. Go on a weekday and park over at Waterloo Records.
If you find something you like, Lush also has auto renew on their website. They’ll send you new products every three months. Since this is the only Lush in the area, that’s not a bad idea. This isn’t always the most ideal location to travel to.
All in all, friendly staff, amazing product, spoil yourself with some Lush.

You can smell the intoxicating scent of bath bombs a couple of blocks away. Lush has some terrific, cruelty free bath and beauty products. I, personally am addicted to the Honey Trap Lip Balm and the Mask of Magnaminty face mask. The first leaves my lips so baby soft and the product actually tastes delicious and I routinely get compliments on the smell of my lip balm. Yep. It smells divine. The second leaves my skin smooth and bright and happy. Even though it is stored at room temperature, it always feels cool and refreshing on my skin. In the fall, Karma soap is the way to go and the charity pot lotion will have your skin feeling like the middle of summer. There are lots of different bubble bombs and bath bombs to choose from, along with skin scrubs and masks. Let the helpful shop attendants help you find your new obsession.

I feel like a kid on Christmas every time I walk into lush, so here goes my PROS/​CONS list
PROS: #1-​NICEST staff I have been introduced too. Every time I walk in Im made to feel welcome with the positive, outgoing staff there. They are EXTREAMLY knowledgeable about their product so if you have any questions make sure to ASK.
#2-​great products. Every time I purchase a new lush product I’m always satisfied with the results (mask of magnesium, ocean salt scrub, coal face wash, BATH BOMBS, therapy massage bar).
#3– if your purchase the charity pot lotion it all goes to charity!
#4– although not that many parking spaces I have never had a problem parking either on the street or in the parking lot by lululemon
#5– it’s not that expensive compared to other brands and the products quality is much better
CONS– getting addicted to it… now lush is a weekly trip for me

Okay gentlemen, this place is all about the ladies in our lives: If you’re genuine friends, take her to Lush and surprise her. If it’s only about sex after springing for those tuna croquettes, just head for a bar and do shots. But if she’s not even curious about Lush & just wants the shots, you have a different kind of problem on your hands.
Here’s the thing: Don’t even think of Lush as cosmetics, think of it as a Buffet of Beauty, a Salad Bar of Soap, or a wondrous Omakase of Aroma. You get the drift. Everything here looks like amazing colorful food, and smells really sublime.
And I really can’t tell you what any of it is — let the staff do it, because they really, really want to. And then let her pick a little something for herself, and you cough up the ten or fifteen bucks — pffft, you’re going to spend that much for the first hipster cocktail anyway. The difference here is at Lush, it’s that one small gift that keeps on giving. And you’ll both have a fun time being here. And that’s what makes it a good thing.

Well if you are looking for tasty treats, Lush is not the place. If you are looking for handmade cosmetics that are not animal tested, you have hit pay dirt!!!
Mr. Smidgens was lucky enough to head to Lush with his lovely songbird. I saw soaps and lotions with scents that reminded me of the first time I got off the plane in Hawaii and smelled the fragrant smells of the fresh lei being made to honor my arrival.
With 2 visits under my belt we purchased shampoo bars, hair creams, and mustache wax. The «NEW!» shampoo bar is filled with cinnamon, clove, and mint oils. Great for stimulating those scalps!
Another shampoo bar for shine and body is the «SEANIK». This bar is filled with solid Irish moss seaweed, Japanese nori seaweed, and sea salt. This shampoo is sexiness in a bar!
«R&B» is a revive and balancing hair finisher. Filled with softening ingredients of organic avocado butter, oatmeal, olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil, jojoba oil, and candelilla wax. Leaves your locks oh so soft!
KALAMAZOO!!! This face wash is great for furry faces! Filled with fresh pineapple juice, almond oil, jojoba oil, and cupuacu butter. This is great for my unruly stache.
The citrusy scent of Brazillian orange oil leaves me with a great feeling and awesome smelling stache!
Speaking of staches, Lush just saved my stache from being shaven off!!! OH NOOOO!!! It’s okay, Mr. Stache, you are safe thanks to VEERAPPAN!
This debonair vegan stache wax is packed with rose wax and sandalwood wax for some heartwarming stache kisses! Mmmmmwwwaaaah!!!
I am officially addicted to Lush’s vegan cosmetics and urge you all to try these wonderful products they have to offer.
Open from 10am to 8pm you have plenty of hours in the day to get your hands on some of their spectacular products!

Yes, I have been going since this location opened and haven’t written a review until now. Why the wait? Well, for the first year I found the salespeople a little too intense. I get it, they sincerely love this stuff. They become prophets of Lush: Austin saw Lush and it was good. But they needed to realize one salesperson per customer was enough; not four evangelizing on soapboxes every four feet in that tiny store.
Now that things have settled down, they are much more congenial and «play it cool» when you happen to pick up their favorite product.
What do I love most? Returning five black containers = 1 free container of any fresh facial treatment.
Second? The names convey exactly what the product is. «Sikkim Girls» is a sultry, dark tea and floral sexy rich lotion. «Honey Trap» lip balm tastes of honey and definitely traps in moisture.
Third? They are fresh and traditional mixes. While I can’t pronounce all of the ingredients in the shampoo and other more complex products, I like the simplicity of others. The Greenach deodorant smells of sage, thyme and rosemary which makes me feel like I have been gardening whenever I catch the scent of it (and not my pits) during the day. The massage bars are my favorite! Each Peach, Soft Coeur, and others are the best consistency and melt evenly.
Fourth? I don’t buy bath bombs, but when I do I buy them here. I can not stress this enough– no one makes them like Lush. Golden Wonder is a large bath bomb that looks like a wrapped present in gold wrapping paper and a cream bow. When it hits water, it unwraps itself: your bath water changes from red to green to orange to… well, you get the picture. Phoenix rising is such a cinnamon-​y treat in hot, hot water. Dragon’s Egg bursts with confetti.
Fifth? Samples are nice. A soap sample is okay, but you can sample lots of the stuff, just ask for a little to take home.
There is really so much more! I really love Lush and hope another location opens up North.

My sister was in town over the weekend and introduced me to my new favorite store, Lush! When I first walked in I thought it was a hipster version of Bath and Body Works spying all the rainbow colored soaps and bath bombs, but I was oh so wrong.
I have very sensitive skin prone to irritation and I’ve tried just about every bath product under the sun. I’ve forked hundreds of dollars over to Aveda throughout the years and in times of desperation have found Aveeno and Cetaphil products to do the trick. Lush though is on a whole other level. All of their products are handmade and actually do what they say they will do! Honestly! I was blown away.
The employees were so helpful and gave me a mini hand treatment to let me sample some of their heavenly loot. They highly encourage you to play and sample here so go nuts, don’t be shy! I wanted everything I saw, especially their luxurious ocean salt scrub and face cleansers. I stuck with two safe items though to see how my skin would react at home. An oatmeal face mask that smelt like banana bread and a cocoa butter massage bath bar with warm, soothing hints of clove and cinnamon. The ingredients in their face masks are so fresh they need refridgeration and only last 21 days.
Only one use of each the mask and the soap bar later and my skin was completely transformed. No redness, no dryness, instead I was left smooth and glowing like one of the Twilight vampires. I am obsessed with these products now and want to only use them forever more. How did I live before Lush, how?!
I also love that you can ask for exactly what you want. My sister wanted $ 10 worth of their charcoal face soap and they gladly took a brick in the back to cut the perfect amount for her. A little here goes a long way and if you keep the containers and bring them back to turn in they reward you. Bonus points earned for being an animal friendly and charitable company as well.
You bet your sweet butt I will be back and am looking forward to it!
