I love Lucy’s fried chicken! They have great collard greens but the breading on the fried green tomatoes is not very good. Very interesting item to try is the fried deviled eggs. Unique, delicious, and very rich.

Great atmosphere and super friendly and hard working staff. I was underwhelmed with the fried green tomatoes, they were bland… I can do better at home. Fried deviled eggs… well, once was enough for these as well. The chicken spaghetti tho… OHMY!!! Comfort food to the max! This was heaven with cheese! Sweet tea chess pie was good too. I’ll be back!

OK. I was sad that waffles are only for Sunday brunch, but the fried chicken spaghetti made up for it. Great staff, sheltered(non smoking) outdoor seating area, good music playing, full bar. Parking on that little side street can be a bitch because there’s only about 10 parking spots. I’ll be back for Sunday brunch and chicken and waffles!

I stopped by on a fluke and was overwhelmingly surprised. The place is small, homey, and friendly. I had the fried chicken basket and the Krispy golden brown crust with just the right amount of seasonings made this an ‘I will be back’ destination. Lucy’s vaulted to my top 2 list for fried chicken. It is a toss up now between Lucy’s and my all time favorite in OK — Eischens.

I love and adore Lucy’s. This place calls my name on a regular basis. How I love that I can drop in and get a bucket to go quickly, take it home, pop a bottle of champers, sprinkle a bit of truffle salt and chow down. OH but there’s more. Lucy’s offers multiple ways to get your fried goodness on. The calf fries, the scotch eggs, I think I even had fried headcheese once… Also the roasted oysters, killer. LOVEIT.

Yes it’s more expensive than your average fried chicken joint and no the restaurant finish out doesn’t justify the price. But man that’s some delicious chicken

I almost always sit at the bar and the service is fantastic! Bloody Mary specials and local beers on draft. You can order fried chicken a la carte and I just get a breast and a side which is perfect for a quick lunch! Oh, and the jukebox! Love! The patio is great for big groups especially with kids! AND…they have plenty of parking!

Appetizers: Gotta recommend the fried deviled egg. Has a small kick to it and the sauce(chipotle ranch?) is great. I’d recommend keeping leftovers of that sauce for your main meal. Main Dish: Got the fried chicken basket with fried okra. My girlfriend also got the chicken basket with mashed potatoes and gravy. The fried chicken was fresh off the fryer and tasted homemade delicious. A warning though, the jalapeño pepper on the side is very spicy! I love spicy, but to me it was the after taste that got me to sweat a little bit. Side Dish: The fried okra was pretty good, especially with the the ranch dip. My girlfriend’s mashed potatoes was excellent. Tasted homemade, but a little sad that they charge extra for gravy! Overall I had a positive experience. I liked how they had he hot sauces next to the window for reference. And the old time movies with Audrey Hepburn is a huge plus!

The chicken was delicious, and the collard greens superb. The black eyed peas, not so much. Overall very good.

Went a little after 11:00 on a Tuesday. There was plenty of parking and I was seated on the patio with my dogs in no time. I was greeted by a server quickly. He was very accommodating and said I could order items a la carte. My food came out pretty fast. I got 2 legs, mashed potatoes, corn muffins and sweet tea. The food was good, not amazing, but I’ll definitely be back.

I may have had the worst dessert of my life here. But let’s start at the beginning. A restaurant dedicated to fried chicken sounds like my kind of place. It was a beautiful night and we loved sitting outside. We ordered the fried deviled eggs and the 4-piece fried chicken basket to share. Our food came out within 5 minutes of ordering. So speedy! The eggs came as 4 halves and were just okay. Tim was intent to order them once he saw the menu but said he prefers a regular deviled egg after trying them fried. I have to agree. Who doesn’t love a good deviled egg? Well, frying didn’t make it better. The chicken was also just okay. There didn’t seem to be much(or any?) seasoning in the coating making it sort of bland. I asked our server for a dessert recommendation and he suggested the lime pie. «Great, we’ll have a piece of that.» It had zero flavor of lime but instead tasted as though it had been sitting in the fridge for weeks, picking up flavored if anything else hanging out in the fridge… onions, cheese, tuna. Gross. I have a new low bar for worst dessert. Such a bummer…

Talk about a «Only in Texas» experience. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and very helpful. It was a tad more expensive than I expected but that’s alright. The food was fantastic very unique menu items, countless varieties and options of hot sauce which I found very impressive. The presentation of the food it was perfection, and the taste of the food was perfection. I can’t wait until I go back. and I am bringing everyone I know! highly recommended two thumbs up! I LOVELUCY’s! drink specials and meal specials every night also! I had of the juicy Lucy. A watermelon margarita which was fantastic!

Bring all of your friends to Lucys. Tomorrow. I love the down home southern feel of this hip yet casual chicken spot. I tend to get the chicken basket which I recommend with honey and hot sauce… it’ll knock your socks off. The Juicy Lucy is so sweet on me and quite stout if you have about 3. I would say it’s a bit on the pricy side for being a chicken spot but, I guess you pay for the welcoming environment too. I’ve been here loads of times and always get the same thing sooooo, my review is a bit shorter than normal. Everyone is always so nice here! It’s a great feeling especially in this day and age where hip restaurants are making people feel left out. I feel like I could bring any first timers to Lucys and know they’re going to have a good time and be in a warm but cool place at the same time!

I’m not from Texas, so I love the fact that everything comes with pickles and/or Jalapenos down here. I can really get behind that. Chicken was great. It was hot, crispy, and juicy. I didn’t notice anything unusual about the seasoning, other than it was properly salted, so thumbs up for the«less is more» approach. The sides were for the most part, also great. Fried deviled eggs, crispy fries, stewed okra, all fantastic. The mashed potatoes were underwhelming, but the biscuits with tequila butter more than made up for it. Large selection of hot sauces is a plus. Bench seating outside was a little cramped. Service was fast and attentive. All in all, a great experience.

I’ve been to Lucy’s a few times now, and it’s fun. The food isn’t going to absolutely blow you away, but it’s tasty, and they have some new takes on old southern classics. It’s really more about the experience and eating something you know is bad for you. They have daily specials, and I recommend Wednesday’s special. The chicken-friend meat loaf. It has great flavor, and then they pour this tomato-based gravy over it(because ketchup and gravy are gifts from a higher power), and top it with a fried egg. I’m not an okra person, so I got mashed potatoes instead. My co-worker got the greens, and they looked good. We’ll be coming back from time to time for lunch.
