All cupcakes are made from scratch using the highest quality ingredients. L’s Cupcakes are baked fresh to order and available in three great sizes to hit any sweet spot!

History

Established in 2008.

L’s was founded by Laura Lively, a local Austinite with an enduring passion for cupcakes.

Laura attended the University of Texas and fell in love with the «Keep Austin Weird» mentality Austin thrives on. Austin is a young, hip, creative-​minded city, with a «locally grown, locally owned» attitude making it the perfect spot to set up shop.

As a recent grad from the University of Texas, Laura learned the ins and outs of the local community as well as the foundations of business. She used her entrepreneurial spirit to start her own Cupcake Company and got much needed cupcakes to Austin.

The cupcakes are all made fresh from scratch using only the highest quality ingredients. We bake em’ up once you place your order. We were voted «Best Catered Vanilla Cupcake» at the Cupcake Smackdown 1.0 in August ’09.

We are working on a Storefront Location, but in the meantime let us deliver fresh baked cupcakes directly to your door!

Holy moly… BEST cupcakes in town. I have ordered cupcakes several times and have always been very satisfied. Laura makes and delivers most of the cupcakes herself. She is adorable and has such great prices. I love supporting small businesses and when it comes to cupcakes there are lots of local choices. Hands down L’s is the best! All the flavors are good but order the the snicker doodle or lemon cupcakes and it will be hard not to eat all of them in one sitting! She has also made me some really cute personalized toppers for special events that were super cute! I would recommend ordering some today!

A friend suggested L’s for Valentines deliveries for marketing/​clients. Great idea! They were well loved. I also commend L’s for making an unfortunate circumstance right almost immediately. Upon delivery, a mishap caused some of the cupcakes to become upset and damaged. The delivery person immediately made arrangements for new cupcakes to be delivered and made sure I was satisfied with that arrangement. The really great part is that because some of them were «damaged goods» I got to sample them and they were DELICIOUS. No wonder our clients grabbed for them like they were crack in a wrapper.

A friend had some delivered to her and was nice enough to share. There were cinnamon ones with cinnamon frosting, and a white cake with chocolate frosting.
Now, let me tell you, these are some of the prettiest pastries I have seen in awhile. It’s cool that it’s a delivery service, and MAN are these things cute. I could easily see them at some really fancy event like a wedding, or as a visually-​impressive present…
BUT, the taste was just «meh» =\ Maybe it was because they were the mini-​cupcakes, but the cake part seemed really dry (I can imagine that it’s harder to get the cook time right since they’re so freaking small… which is part of what makes them so damn cute!), and it really needed the frosting to give it any flavor.
Maybe it was just an off batch? Or maybe the regular sized cupcakes fare better? The world may never know. (Well, *I* may never know.) And because Unilocal defines 2 stars as «Meh. I’ve experienced better,» that’s what I’ve got to give.

First of all GORGEOUS set up with the mini cupcakes! I love those tiered displays, really eye catching and elegant… I’m already planning my next event where I might need to order 100 or more cupcakes. ha
Cinnamon cupcakes!!! YUMMM
Where have I been all my life without Cinnamon cupcakes? I had no idea how delicious they were! I always go for the red velvet and chocolate, but I was completely taken by surprise by the cinnamon.
Don’t you worry– I tried both the Red Velvet and Chocolate too! I love mini cupcakes because you can eat a lot of them and not feel quite as bad :)
I can’t wait till I place my first order!

I was at a fund raiser where this company had cupcakes. My friend and I were watching patiently as they set out the cupcakes. Once they were done, we practically dove for the red velvet. Or, what we thought was red velvet. It was red, but didn’t taste remotely like anything else but white batter with some red food coloring in it.
They were dry and the frosting was awful! The second one I tried (I said tried as I didn’t eat all of the first one as it was so awful, but I thought maybe that batch was a fluke, so I tried something else) was chocolate and that was so dry, I couldn’t even eat it and through the entire thing out. My cat can make butter cupcakes with a Betty Crocker box mix and the frosting in the plastic cup.
Seriously! Stick with someone else!

L’s cupcakes were the perfect accompaniment to a fabulous «champagne and cupcake reception» during Austin Fashion Week hosted by Wyatt Brand. There is nothing more indulgent than cupcakes, champagne and jewelry, right?! Marie Antoinette would have been right at home.
Seriously, Laura does a fantastic job with set up and delivery. Lots of compliments on the Yin Yang flavor. Beautiful presentation… they are such are little jewels. Thanks Laura!

A great cupcake experience! My company hired L’s cupcake café to deliver around 900 mini cupcakes to a company party. They were pretty much wiped out, and our guests enjoyed them. Laura and crew were good to work with and arrived and set up the cupcakes exactly within our timeframe.
