LWCRA is a large 41 acre park located on the farthest north side of Lake Austin, just on the other side of the Mansfield Dam/​Lake Travis.
Because of its beautiful tree lined banks, super clear and extra cool and calm water (except on very windy days), many points of entry and free admission and parking, the park is a great place to swim, paddle board, and/​or kayak at. There are also picnic tables and BBQ grills for use and porta potties onsite.
Overall a really chill area to enjoy water activities, maybe nibble some food lakeside, sip some cold bevs, take in the views, play with Fido (on a leash please), or just chill. Love it! Kind of a hidden gem. A bit crowded on the weekends, but still room for everyone. And weekdays are awesome! Great find! Shhh… don’t tell anybody. ;)
