Dr. A. is an extremely talented Plastic Surgeon. I had been considering lower lid blepharoplasty for several years for unsightly eye bags but was not a fan of traditional blepharoplasty taking away fat and tightening skin. I have had two family members who complained that after traditional bleph they looked worst. Also have a dermatologist friend who does fillers in tear trough areas of people who looked sunken in and hollow after traditional bleph. Dr. A. did tear trough implants on my lower lids which turned out great. No eye bags and no hollows from taking away too much either. This procedure IMO takes much skill and expertise so is probably why most plastic surgeons do not offer this option. Great staff! Wonderful surgeon! I looked all over before doing this surgery with Dr. A. I traveled all the way from the SF Bay Area to have him do my eyes. Well worth it and definitely recommended!

If you are considering any type of facial plastic surgery, Dr. Apostolakis is your man. (btw, you pronounce his name like the Apostles from the Bible, then lakis) He specializes in facial surgery and has been at it for 15+ years. At 52, I had a full facelift and it turned out much better than I could have possibly imagined. It looks just like me, natural, but so much younger and everything is symmetrical, gorgeous and full/​round/​soft looking. At 3 weeks post op, I still have some swelling so some of that fullness will recede. I chose Dr. A after doing a lot of research and deciding I wanted a plastic surgeon who only works on faces and had years of experience. After studying the before and after pics on his website and the other facial specialists, I surmised that Dr. A’s work far surpassed the others. He’s conservative in his approach and takes pride in his work. He’ll tell you if something is not right for you. I asked about tear trough repair and he said «no way, you don’t need that type of surgery». I asked about fat transfer and he said, «its super expensive and results are unpredictable, so I don’t do it». He told me he had just operated on a woman who insisted on having her brow lifted super high and he said he could not do it as high as she wanted because she would look ridiculous and he did not want any of his patients walking around looking weird because it reflects badly on him. He really has the perfect combination of being a great artist and a great doctor, (he’s also an ear, nose and throat specialist) He stitches every incision with fine stitches, and does not use staples which is a lot more work for him but the result and heal time and cleanliness are more important to him. He’s a very nice man, who takes care of himself, he’s a runner and happily married. If I’m going to have someone operate on my face, I want to have the most emotionally stable, physically healthy person I can find who also has a finite specialization and years of experience. He went for a run right before my surgery so I knew he was thinking clearly and was energized and that’s who you want operating, not some old geezer or highly emotional guy who drank too much the night before. Also, his entire staff were wonderful and they spoke about him with very high regards. They said he expects them to perform at top of their game, work well as a team, and that he holds them to a very high standard. All of his staff are long term, they like working for him and are treated well. I think there are one or two other plastic surgeons in Austin who specialize in faces but I didn’t like their before and after pics nearly as well. The proof is in the pudding and this guy knows his stuff and his outcomes are beautiful. You’re in very good hands with him and his prices are reasonable. I couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out for me!

I recently had a rhinoplasty performed by Dr Apostolakis and couldn’t be happier. I had a hump removed and the base of my nose narrowed. I have thick skin and the base was wide. He was able to get it more narrow than he even hoped he could. It couldn’t be more perfect. I went to a dermatologist after for another reason and he was able to fraxal my black eyes and they went away over night. While I was there he commented how great my nose looked and that it was better than Ashley Simpson who had a big shot plastic surgeon do hers in Los Angeles. The staff was great too. I would definitely give my recommendation for Dr A.

As I entered my mid-​fifties, I started noticing that my eyelids were drooping and the under-​eye area was getting really sunken, both of which made me look older than I felt. I work in customer facing roles in the high tech industry and had decided to change jobs. Austin is a young city and I was concerned about being able to compete, so I researched several doctors and chose Dr. Apostolakis because he specialize in facial surgery.
He did a lift for my upper eyes and the implants under the lower eyes. The surgery was easy, I was back to work in a few days. I had some bruising, more on one side than on the other. I discovered the Make Up Forever (MUFE) has the BEST concealer so that got me through the few weeks of bruising.
I am so glad that I did the surgery. Although my motivation was to remain competitive in my job hunt (and I did find a great new job!) — it is wonderful to look in the mirror and not see a face that looks tired just due to aging changes, but rather a face that looks fresh and energetic.
Their follow-​up care has been wonderful as well and I very highly recommend that you talk to Dr. Apostolakis if you are considering any type of facial procedure!

It’s been close to one year since my surgery and I wanted to wait until now to write my review. I was referred to Dr Apostolakis by a neighbor and my Aesthetician and was extremely nervous about surgery. Dr Apostolakis made me feel very comfortable and his staff were professional and his prices were very reasonable. Surgery was painless and I was back at work in two weeks. I am thrilled with the results and it looks truly natural. It’s made a huge difference in my life and I feel it was the best decision I made and I would not trust anyone or recommend anyone but Dr Apostolakis He is a true artist!

No bedside manner! Went in for eyelids and he proceeded to tell me my nose was the distraction on my face! Thanks. He is just weird!

Not being one to leap into something as important as cosmetic surgery lightly, I did extensive research on Dr. Apostolakis before I was even willing to schedule an interview appointment. I am fairly new to Austin and a number of years ago had experienced great cosmetic surgery results with an excellent surgeon when I lived in Dallas. There are a number of very good cosmetic surgeons in Dallas and I have friends there who look great as a result of those doctors’ collective expertise. So my goal was to find a doctor equally good in Austin or else just plan on going back to Dallas for surgery, which would have been very inconvenient given my work schedule.
So I was delighted to find that Dr. Apostolakis not only met – and even exceeded in many ways – the excellence that I had experienced when I lived in Dallas. The surgery suite which is located within his offices is amazing. His office staff and medical support team are absolute perfection. They are experts at providing that calm and reassuring support that is so important when one is undergoing and recuperating from cosmetic surgery. The good doctor himself is personable and meticulous and never appears rushed. He answers all questions thoroughly and educates the patient on what will happen during surgery, how the result will look, what the recovery will be like, etc. He encourages discussion and spends as much time as it takes, which is of course reassuring on both an intellectual and emotional level. He has that gift of putting a person totally at ease and if there is ever a time you want to be absolutely sure you are doing the right thing and with the right doctor, it is cosmetic surgery!
His fees are very, very fair. Given my experience and research, I would know. I am not naïve about fees and I am also not wealthy, so fair prices are important to me. Enough said.
Now to the best part: I had an upper lid blepharoplasty last May which was a breeze in all ways and took ten years off my age immediately. Not kidding. Now my eye makeup looks perfect all the time and I am loving it. Best thing I ever did – until three weeks ago when I had a lower face lift and neck lift – what a difference! Already the result is amazing and I am so glad I had these procedures done. It is a pleasure to give Dr. Apostolakis the highest recommendation possible – he’s the best – endless thanks, Dr. A!

I am a pharmacist obsessed with skin care and being healthy. I recently had an upper lid blepharoplasty and I absolutely could not be happier. There are many reasons why I would recommend this physician and staff to all my friends. It starts with Carolyn who is the friendly, fun, warm and out-​going receptionist. All my health care needs for all my physicians start here. If I don’t like that first person I meet I don’t go back. Physicians must realize that this person is often the most important because he/​she is the basis for the initial impression. The next person that is so much fun is Beccah — one of his operating assistants. She is very adept at making her patients feel taken care of. I knew she was going to do everything to explain post surgical care and get all my questions answered. Now — to Dr. Apostolakis. A plastic surgeon needs to be kind, and not rushed, and realistic during the initial consultation. He was all those things. As a scientist — I had a lot of questions. All my questions were answered thoroughly and patiently. Let’s not forget his work on my eyes! I feel so much younger and more beautiful — the bag hanging over them before made me look tired and worn out. Eye shadow and mascara were a little pointless. I should have done this a long time ago. I healed very nicely — I’m sure there is a scar there but I can’t see it. Unlike a previous reviewer — I felt the cost was totally justified and very, very affordable. Actually — my mouth hung open when I got my quote! Now I go back for Dysport injections. I only want Dr. A to do them for me from now on!

Beautiful office, pleasant receptionist. I went in to have a consult for ear lobe repair, as in the 80’s I wore heavy earrings, you get the point. I had to pay $ 50 up front which would have gone towards surgery fee. Dr. A came in, seemed nice enough, looked at the photos of my ears, proceeds to tell me to stand and says he can fix them right now. I asked what the fee would be, as I can just imagine doing it, then getting sticker shock when I check out. I guess no one ever does this, as he tells me the fee (outrageous), and I let him know ‘thanks but no thanks.’ I went in with a fee in my head that I would be willing to pay and it was twice that much.
I have lived with my ears having this issue for 20 years, I guess everyone has their limits on how much they are willing to pay to repair certain body parts.
He was shocked by my refusal to do it right then, as I am sure he does not get that a lot in Westlake. Even the receptionist was taken aback when I checked out.
I am sure he does a fine job, but until I fall into some major money I can’t afford him.

I am a 56 year old male and have been seeing Dr. Apostolakis for about 5 years and have had stellar results, from a complete face lift to Botox and light laser peels. He is meticulous about his work. I have never met any doctor who is so resolved to making sure everything is absolutely perfect! When it comes to your face I researched every doctor in Austin and he was one of the few that specializes only in facial cosmetic surgery. When I had my face lift a few years ago people knew I looked a lot younger and I did not have that look you often see with celebrities who have their face stretched too far and look funny. I just looked about 10 years younger and I cannot see any scars at all. No one can tell I had surgery, not even my new girlfriend. His staff is absolutely charming! They treated me like a king when I was there and were so attentive I felt like I was at a spa, I am not joking. His offices are amazing and his surgery suite even has a window to let in natural light, find that somewhere else! I am going in for a nose job later this year because he also did my wife’s nose a few years ago and it was perfect! I think he is probably the best facial plastic surgeon out there. I now live in Houston but will make the drive back to Austin for anything that has to do with facial work. He is simply the best out there period!

I saw Dr. Apostolakis for surgery for facial acne scarring which did not improve after lasers, peels, and other treatments done years ago. Basically I would exchange one scar (ragged acne scar) for a different scar (nice, neat incision).
Three weeks after minor surgery, I am very happy with the results. The incision scars are healing nicely and will improve even more over time.
The doctor spent a long time discussing various treatments, expectations and possible results. He is also a good listener and considered my opinions. The entire staff is gracious, professional, and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this doctor and his staff.

Superior service and pricing. When I went to see Dr Apostolakis, I knew I needed facial filler for my naso-​labial areas and wanted Radiesse. He told me that Restylane would be better in my case. He recommended a less expensive product. The next year, I went for a consultation, he recommended his special implant procedure under the eyelid as a permanent solution for bags under the eyes. He combined that surgery with fill for my naso-​labial areas with both Radiesse and Restylane. Everything looks great. For the area between the eyes, he used Dysport instead of Botox. He told me that Dysport has fewer side effects, lasts longer, and is cheaper. Unlike other clinics, Dr Apostolakis does all procedures himself. He does only facial plastic surgery. He is very pleasant and easy to talk to; he’ll call you at home after procedures. Because facial plastic surgery isn’t covered by insurance, the key is to get the best specialist and the best price – and Dr Apostolakis fits both criteria.
