Established in 2014.

Precision Plastic Surgery PLLC was founded by Dr. John A. McFate in August of 2014 to provide Austin and the surrounding communities with a patient oriented surgical experience. Precision Plastic Surgery serves all men and women in the areas of Westlake, Austin, Georgetown, Round Rock, and others. Dr. McFate specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, breast, and body.

Nestled in the beautiful hills of Westlake, Precision provides a place where patients will discover a relaxing, discrete, and enjoyable encounter with Austin plastic surgeon Dr. McFate and his team in order for patients to meet their individual goals.

During the construction of Precision Plastic Surgery, a fully equipped and certified operative suite was designed to provide the unique opportunity for patients to undergo surgery and recovery within the confines of our facility, which is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Texas.

Business Owner

Dr. McFate grew up with his loving aunt and uncle in Irving, TX. He graduated from Nimitz High School where he played football and excelled in academics. Then, he graduated from Texas A&M University in biomedical engineering, which provides a unique perspective to solve an array of surgical problems. As a med-​student at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, he quickly discovered a love for anatomy and completing challenging surgical tasks.

While completing his general surgery training, he found his true calling in Plastic Surgery which combined his artistic eye, analytical mind, technical precision, and the opportunity to help patients with a multitude of surgical dilemmas.

Dr. McFate completed his Plastic Surgery residency at Houston Methodist Hospital. Dr. McFate’s extensive training and operative experience has fully prepared him to offer his patients the latest, safest, and most effective surgical techniques. Dr. McFate is extremely thankful to call Austin home.
