I went to see her for annual checkup. She seemed preoccupied and really didn’t listen to me. She ordered a bunch of tests and a biopsy –which surprised me because she didn’t mention a biopsy during my visit. I found out when admin called me to schedule. In addition, I am still getting bills from her office. She was fully aware that I am a patient with limited $$$ as I am disabled and on Medicare. In conclusion. I think she is all about business and not focused at all on the actual patient. This is why I chose not to continue as her patient.

I recently had the misfortune of having Dr. Landwermeyer deliver my baby. I met all the doctors at Hill Country OBGYN except her. 80% of them are wonderful!!! Sadly, I went into labor while she was on call. I requested an epidural at 5 right when I arrived but Dr. Landwermeyer didn’t feel the need to come in. She made me shake uncontrollably, repeatedly vomit and labor for 8 ½ hours before she came in 5 minutes before the baby was practically falling out of me and forcing me to deliver naturally. It was beyond miserable and truly took away from our entire birthing experience. I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone! She only came to the hospital to begin with because of an emergency surgery. Not for me. I am appalled that such a selfish, unconcerned person brought my baby into the world. I honestly hope no one else has to ever deal with Dr. Landwermeyer’s laziness while she is «on call» again. Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s possible. One Star is more than she deserves.

I first met Dr. Landwermeyer in 2002, while pregnant with my daughter. I had a not-so-great experience with my first pregnancy and wanted something different. I wanted that dream doctor. The one that listens to you and gives suggestions, tells you how it is, doesn’t judge you, is caring yet doesn’t mind calling you on your stuff, is forthright and most of all, cares about you and your health. I found that doctor. And so much more. 10 years later, as of this writing, I am still seeing Dr. Landwermeyer. My baby is 9 and my baby days are over, but I see her at least once per year. I like her. In fact, I like her so much that I continue to drive all the way across town even after I moved several years ago(although they recently opened a Lakeway office — WooHoo!). But she’s worth the trip. I only see her once or twice per year, but I am always 100% comfortable with her. She goes to great lengths to make you feel like a person, not a number. I’ve always felt like, as silly as this will sound, like I was going to visit a friend, not going to the gynecologist. She really does make you feel like that. I have also never felt judged by her. Don’t get me wrong, she’s not all unicorns and rainbows… she has absolutely no problem telling you the real deal or telling you something absolutely straight. She’s not going to sugar coat things. Recently, I had an endometrial ablation with Dr. L and she handled it as I knew she would. She talked to me about it like a friend with her surely trademarked brand of humor and doses of reality. She was on-time, professional and made me feel like a partner in my own care. THE best doc in the business in Austin as far as I’m concerned. And the ONLY one I will visit. Highly Highly Highly recommended.
