History

Established in 2015.

Though opening in 2015, Kauitzsch Counseling of Austin has been in the making for many years. I have been gaining training, education and experience in the counseling field for the last 16 years so that I would be able to open my own practice as a knowledgeable, prepared and skillful practitioner. Finally the time has felt right to make my dream a reality of opening my own practice and now I invite you to Kauitzsch Counseling of Austin to work toward your counseling goals!

As we continue to grow, we now accept Medicaid Insurance!

Russell K.

Business Owner

Hello! Thanks for reading more about Kauitzsch Counseling of Austin! I have had a dream of owning my own counseling practice for many years and have worked very hard to make it a reality. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development and then a Master’s in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling. During and after my education I worked on developing my counseling skills by working as a sexual assault counselor at a crisis center, a bereavement counselor with hospice, a general counselor at a clinic and a crisis counselor in law enforcement. In that time I also developed and co-led a group for male survivors of sexual abuse and assault and co-led a group for parents who lost children and people who lost spouses. Today I continue to work with individuals, couples, and group and and am dedicated to improving and honing my skills in crisis and trauma, grief and loss, LGBT, couples work, transgender issues, and more.

I look forward to hearing from you!
