Junk Car Buyer

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Fast forward to almost a year after we sold our car to these people, and we began receiving notices of toll violations… for the car we sold. We handed over our title to these people, but they never transferred it out of our name. This, in and of itself, is not that terrible – sure we could be on the hook for parking tickets, tolls, or even crimes committed in the vehicle, but we figured we’d call and let them know and then it would be taken care of. That isn’t what happened. Instead – they are insisting we didn’t sell our car to them (we were paid in cash and not given a receipt), because when I initially called, I informed the woman, Tess, that I was uncertain which company we had used (which was true – I wasn’t certain, but my husband was – and has voicemail saved on his phone that proves it). They have been beyond unhelpful – they won’t even give us their mailing address to put on our form to give to the DMV to attempt to correct their mistake. BUYER or SELLER BEWARE. These people are as shady as they come. They do not return phone calls. The woman who answers the phone, Tess, is either totally uniformed or completely malicious – not sure which is worse. I’m mad, but more disappointed. At what point did it become okay to just completely screw over other humans? I’m not mad about the mistake they made, though it was a grievous error, I just want them to own up and make it right – THAT is how you run a business. THAT is how you satisfy customers. THAT is how you avoid reviews like this one. This, literally, would have been a 5 star review if they had handled this situation with a modicum of professionalism, but they did not. Now I’m an angry lady who will be posting this review in as many places as possible to warn others. Great job, guys.

TERRIBLE. Don’t do it – I think it’s a scam. Been dealing with this «business» for 6 months now trying to figure out how someone got new license plates under my name for the sold car. Title was never transferred. SIX MONTHS trying to get ahold of some ghost named «Brian.» I keep being told someone will get back to me and it will get taken care of. They apparently have no record of my vehicle being sold to them. What a nightmare!!! Every person I speak with has NO CLUE what is going on or who Brian is… he is always «unavailable» and all they can do is «take a message.» Already filed my police report and about to call the BBB.

we got great money for our car with a bad transmission from the junk car buyer in round rock. we will use them again.
