I called Jon’s rental inquiring about a 16′ step ladder and was told they had plenty and no need to worry about showing up in the morning and not being able to get one. I rented a skid loader to take care of some vegetation on my property from here. From the first call to the last these guys were completely stand up and honest gentleman. They took all my calls, answered all my questions and had the equipment ready to go when I arrived.
The real difference maker for me was what happened when I brought the machine back. I goofed up pretty bad and put diesel fuel into the hydraulic reservoir. I was sh*tin bricks about how much this would cost me. Most other companies would have seen this as an opportunity to cash in. Not these guys. They were understanding and cool about it and only charged me fairly.
I can see now why they have such great reviews.

Life would be good if everyone was as pleasant as the guys at Jon’s! This is one of those places that makes you happy to give them a 5 star review. I interacted with 4 people at this place and each was as nice as the last. I tried to rent from Home Depot but they refused to load the equipment into my SUV for baffling reasons, then suggested I rent a home depot truck for $ 100 to haul it. So glad I decided to try Jon’s before giving into Home Depot! Always feel better about going local anyway, but to top it off Jon’s was significanlty less expensive, exponentially better customer service, so pleasant to deal with, and 100% accomodating. I’ll never rent from anyplace else again!

These guys are awesome! I have rented numerous items from them. They are very knowledgeable and will take the time to figure out exactly which tool you need for the job. All their employees are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of.

Rented a pressure washer for the day. The equipment was clean and spotless when I picked it up. It worked great. They were friendly and very helpful. Showed me how the whole thing worked, I had never used one before. When I returned it the service couldn’t have been better. Next time I need to rent anything I’m going here first.

This place is pure pro, and I am not. That’s important when you may not know what you’re doing, these guys aren’t too busy or gruff to help find exactly what you need and show you how to use it (on occasion). ;) They even let it slip when I didn’t quite get it back the hour I should have… thanks so much. I read the other Unilocal reviews on this company before I used them and they were right about them — definitely 5-​star people! I needed some garment racks for a closet renovation and these folks came through. David Fickey was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating, even when I had to come back and rent another rack. Rental rate was very reasonable, the racks were clean and in great condition, and the friendly and helpful staff loaded and unloaded the items from my vehicle. I was surprised at their rental inventory and will definitely keep Jon’s Tool Rental on my list. Support your local Austin business!

These guys are awesome. Originally tried to book with another «big» rental company, but spent forever on hold and got hit with ridiculous delivery charges. No thanks. Called Jon’s and dealt with Jace, who was super helpful and quoted me an even better price on a mini excavator, and it came with a trailer (meaning 0 deliver fees). Upon arrival, David and the guys outside did a great job of setting me up (even swapping out the wrong-​sized ball on my truck with a free loaner) and getting me on my way. Basically a brand new machine, zero hidden fees/​charges, and zero BS. I’ll be renting from them again.

I have rented tables and clothing racks for garage sales as well as lawn equipment for the yard
Their prices are very reasonable and they do not require a deposit. They also have super friendly staff who will help load items into or out of your vehicle. They will not charge you an extra days rental if your an hour or two late nor will they try to up sell you.
Jons is a local Austin business that has been around for decades.
The service is great the selection is big and the prices are right!
