I called Rob @ Irrigation Pro, when another sprinkler repair service did not come by to fix the leak (they said) was under my driveway. Rob came out the day I called and checked my sprinkler system and confirmed that there was actually no visible leak… he even checked my water meter. He was at my home for about 15 min checking my system. When I tried to pay him for his time, he said that wasn’t necessary… just to call him if a leak reoccurred. He was very honest and could have fixed a non existent problem… but did not. I really appreciated his honesty and thoroughness — and would use him again!

Unfortunately, the service provided by Rob at Irrigation Pro Services was not what we had hoped for. After finding him on Craigslist (our first mistake?) the bid and work he provided were completed very quickly. However, 2 days and $ 2000 later, we had a non-​functioning control unit. A week later that was replaced and then a particular zone on the new control unit was now not working.
When attempting to call Rob and his partner about this issue, they basically went into hiding — never returning phone calls, publicly blaming the issues on the other person but nobody was willing to take the overall responsibility to make sure we were getting what we paid for.
There was very little communication between Rob, his partner, and us — the customer — forcing us to have to result into tricking them to calling us back and threatening them with filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau in order to get their attention.
Finally, a month later, we seem to have a functioning sprinkler system. Rob’s partner ultimately ended up coming out to fix the unit even though Rob is the one that won our bid. My advice? Go with a reputable company and not some random guy you find on Craigslist (or here on Unilocal). Even if it’s more expensive in the end, it’ll save you a headache or two and believe me, it’ll be worth it.
