The day I met Dr. Summer I was in so much pain that I was crying. I have struggled with thoracic outlet syndrome (chronic pain in my neck, arm and hand) and hadn’t found much relief despite trying many different therapies. I declared that day that I needed to find a chiropractor and that evening I met Dr. Summer by chance at an event. I took this as a sign and booked an appointment for a few days later.
After my first adjustment I felt amazing. I could even breathe better. I have a lot of structural issues throughout my whole body and she adjusts everything, not just the spine. I appreciate her comprehensive approach because when one thing is off in the body if often affects other areas. After a couple of treatments my pain flared up though, which scared and discouraged me. I contacted Dr. Summer and she was very helpful and compassionate. She explained to me that this was probably a healing crisis. My body had been out of whack for so long that the healing period was just taking some adjustment, and with it, some exacerbation of the symptoms. On her advice, I continued treatments and I feel good now – My pain levels are the lowest they’ve ever been in YEARS and I’m thrilled. I feel with continued adjustments it’s only going to keep getting better. I’m so glad I continued and didn’t seek out another chiropractor… because she is awesome!
Dr. Summer also assessed my posture and gave me exercises to help correct the underlying structural imbalances (maybe why I developed this condition in the first place). Now I don’t always DO those exercises… but that’s another matter, now isn’t it. ;) The point is she takes the extra time with you, which is rare these days.
I’ve also started to come to Dr. Summer for nutrition advice and she’s helped me there as well. She is a wealth of knowledge about herbal and nutritional supplements that can enhance your wellbeing. Her advice is helping my headaches, inflammation and digestion. So in fact, the name Inside Out Wellness really means something! Come to her for chiropractic, acupuncture, nutrition – or all of it!

Dr Summer is so awesome! I call her the «House» of holistic medicine. I have been coming to her for about 6 months now and have been so happy with the things she has done for me that I come before I feel any pain or discomfort.
I have received adjustments, acupuncture, nutritional evaluations, she has corrected my posture, bio-​feedback (for a number of different things), I always feel like she has gone above and beyond what she needed to do, but not in a I want your money kinda way, in a I want to help you kind of way. You get a good price for the best care.

I’ve gotten headaches on a regular, almost daily basis, for years. A few years back, when I was living in Houston, a friend recommended that I try a Chiropractor. I did and it was glorious – the difference was life changing! I mean it. When I moved to Austin last year, my headaches started up again. I met Dr. Summer and knew that I had met my new doctor. She is very knowledgable, kind and reasonable. I loved her holistic approach too! I’ve been going to her almost every other week for several months and she has helped me get my headaches under control once again. I’ve been adjusted and have also had acupuncture treatments– which both have given me immediate results.

Dr. Summer is great! I have seen quite a few chiros, but she offers much more than chiropractic. She is one of the most knowledgeable I have ever met when it comes to health and wellness.
I always come away from a visit with great information about how to improve and maintain my health. Her information on nutrition has been invaluable.
