Specialties
Located west of the city in a restored rock ranch house, Hudson’s on the Bend features beautiful herb, flower, and vegetable gardens and open air dining on the patio or in the garden gazebo. We are, hands down, the most romantic restaurant in Austin.
Serving Texas Hill Country Cuisine, our menus feature wild game like venison, quail, pheasant, duck, rabbit, wild boar, ostrich, and rattlesnake, often smoked in the rock smokehouse or grilled over pecan wood. Seafood is also regularly featured.
Our award-winning kitchen is noted for our creative sauces. These innovations include fresh fruit fame sauces and novelle Southwestern sauces like Tomatillo White Chocolate Sauce atop Grilled Swordfish or a Mango Jalapeño Aioli with a hot and crunchy trout.
And don’t forget, we have way too many wines.
History
Established in 1985.
Hudson’s on the Bend opened in 1985 to showcase wild game in a classic Hill Country setting. Since then, we have succeeded in showing the people of Austin what a menu with delicious wild game, delectable sauces, and way too many wines can do for them. Join us for a romantic meal tonight.
