I meant to fill out a survey but didn’t get one in my email. This is my first holiday inn experience, and it was wonderful! Heather, the front desk clerk was so accommodating, five stars! I was driven by the hotel to and from, fantastic facility, and very nice room. Would recommend it to anyone traveling!

The lobby may be a bit too sterile looking and over lit but the desk folks are very friendly, there is a good free breakfast, and the rooms are spotless and extremely spacious. Don’t expect a nice view out the room window or a nice restaurant downstairs and you will be pleased if you are needing to stay close to the airport

I stayed at this hotel last week while volunteering with the V.A. employees in the area. The first few nights were OK. However, it is not up to par with 95% of other Holiday Inn Expresses. For example they only have junk food for sale, chips and candies. They do not have any sandwiches, meals or fruits such as most H.I.E. do have. The exterior, interior public areas and room are in need of some care. My room had wall paper hanging down, the A/C was broken and the literally replaced the entire unit, or swapped it with another room. Probably put the broken one in another room. All day Saturday they had a few youth baseball teams in house. The kids must have lost because they seemed to be in the hotel running around from 12 noon until 1am. They were screwing around on the elevators, banging on doors and being kids while the parents sat in the lobby watching sports and drinking beers like fish. Since I was there on business such as most guest I tried to go to sleep at 10pm. This was impossible. At 11 pm I finally called the front desk and told them that these thugs were kicking doors, partying in the hallways and being LOUD. At 11:30 I called again because the noise never stopped. At midnight I called again and the Front Desk said they already spoke to the drunk guests but could not do anything about it. I then confronted the guests, told then to go downstairs and run around, etc. Next thing I know I had 4 drunk grown men threating me to get in my room, shut up or they will kick my ass. They were tough men with their Budweiser and friends. One on one would have been quite interesting. I called the front desk and they said they will not do anything. I asked them to call the general manager or owner and they said no. I recommended to the front office they should evict the disorderly, publicly drunk guests and they said no. I asked them to call the police for me and they said NO. So I then called the police and packed all my work, clothing etc. Once the police arrived I asked them to escort me past the drunks and to the COMFORTINN hotel next door. The police made it very clear that I could press charges, but all I wanted was a good nights sleep and not be threatened with bodily harm as I was at the HOLIDAYINNEXPRESS Austin Airport. The Comfort Inn took great care of me. I have waited a week to hear from the GM or the owner of the Holiday Inn Express and they failed to contact me about the incident. So time to let the world know on multiple social media sites.

This Holiday Inn isn’t the nicest of the chains in Austin, but it is conveniently located near the airport. It’s approximately 10 minutes in either direction. There is a courtesy shuttle(Nissan Leaf limo) that you could use to get you to and from the airport. Simply make your arrangements with the front desk. Everything else around the area is roughly 15 – 20 minutes driving. The front desk was friendly and made recommendations on places to eat and visit. During check in, I was informed that they have a complimentary happy hour. This is only offered Monday through Thursday from 5:30pm to 7pm. Light snacks, appetizers, Shiner Bock Beer, red, and white wine. Also, there is complementary continental breakfast offered daily. All of the rooms are suites and have a mini kitchens. Don’t let the looks of the lobby and exterior fool you, but the rooms look as though they have been updated.

Unfortunately I would have to agree with other Unilocalers. This place kinda sucks. It is convenient to the airport but that’s all it really has going for it. The entire property feels worn and used. I think they’re trying to remodel/repair but in my opinion they’re putting a bandage on something that needs surgery. The fitness center would be a good place to start. All of the equipment was in disrepair, and the treadmill is unsafe. The room was OK, but again it felt worn. They do offer free snacks/beer/wine in the lobby during a special happy hour during the week, and the free breakfast was halfway decent.

There are several things that were so wrong about this location. First of all, it’s under renovation. There is literally dust and filth EVERYWHERE. The rooms are disgustingly dirty, and so are the hallways and restrooms. The pool had a dead frog swimming around refreshing and enjoying this summer heat. Perhaps the worst part of this location is their use of their only shaded handicapped space. Traveling around with disabled parents and children, this violation seemed to me the worst point against this lication. This is the first and only time that I will support this business. …

Customer service very nasty… I made a mistake and place the reservation at the wrong holiday. This gentlemen was so nasty he immediately change my credit card. We all make mistake. This is why this Hoilday Inn has a poor rating. This company will continue to lose business.. I think this was totally unfair. I would not recommend anyone to this hotel.

we booked the room through Expedia. Checked in at 530 pm, at this time we informed the front desk that the fan in the bathroom was not working and asked to be moved to another room. we were told that they were book solid, but that they would fix the fan.(they disconnected it) We left went to the concert when we returned we turned on the heat in the room, sounded like starting up a Harley Davidson, said to contact E and there were dead bugs on the floor. the couch in the suite was in such bad condition that it was impossible to sit on much less sleep on. At this point it was12 am we went to the front desk to check out and complain. No offer was made to correct any of the problems, and made no notes about the issues. We left and drove the 4 hours home. The next morning we contacted Expedia, who informed us we would have to contact the hotel about issues. We stated that the hotel said to contact Expedia. Expedia then contacted the hotel who denied that we even filed a complaint. DONOTWASTEYOURMONEYONTHISHOTEL!!!

This hotel has the worst receptionist I ever saw in my life. Her name is Flor Rosales. We came to the hotel at around 10:00. Flor refused to give us the discounted rate we booked the room for because she wanted to see photo ID of the person who did the reservation. Really? Then she called my boss Liar! And when he told her: you called me liar. She said. Because of the way you came to me. Really? We were so tired so we paid double what we should pay for after Flor consulted her boss then she came back with s threatening look: I will talk with whoever I can talk with. With s threatening finger she put her terms as s receptionist. Just awful how some people think they can take their personal shit on the job and expect themselves authorized to insult guests. if less than one star I wouldn’t hesitate.

Very convenient to the airport. While not a large suite, the room was comfortable enough for an overnight stay. Room was clean except for a strong musky odor that was barely perceptible after the AC ran for a while. We found a bottle cap on the floor which makes us think the vacuuming was not thorough. The bed was very comfortable but the AC unit was very loud. The breakfast was generous but the warming units did not keep the food very warm. Another positive: they are pet friendly for animals under 30#. Would I return? I’d shop around first and would come back if I needed the convenience of the location and nothing else was available. Just my $ 0.02.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Austin Airport a few weeks ago. I checked in late, and the night staff was very nice and helpful. However, the next morning, after feeling itchy throughout the night, I noticed some very small bugs crawling around the bed. I checked the other bed in the room(double beds) and they were there also. I called the front desk, and management came to the room to assess the problem. I was told that they were not bed bugs, they were grass fleas and that this is to be expected while in Texas. I informed her that it didn’t matter to me the species of bug that was in the bed, the issue was that they were there. I asked for a discount and was given 10% off the bill. After further voicing my concerns that a 10% discount was not adequate for sleeping with fleas, I was told that I could«cancel my reservation and go somewhere else» which she knew would be very difficult to do since it was Austin City Limits weekend. I was not impressed with the customer service or facilities here at all and would definitely not stay here again.

The two stars I saw on Unilocal had me a little nervous… but all and all it wasn’t a bad stay here. The place was clean and the people at the front desk were very helpful. The rates for the room were reasonable… not sure why people gave such rotten reviews. With that said… I won’t say this place was great/amazing. It was as a hotel should be. Only complaint I really have is that the location of the place isn’t really prime. The restaurants nearby are not very good.

I came in at 3am and they were already getting breakfast items ready so I was able to grab a banana and a bagel. The location is odd if you are coming into town from the airport because of the construction but it’s super convenient going to the airport because it’s on the same side of the road. The front desk was very friendly and when I came in the second time, the gentleman working at the front remembered me. The location is clean and I would definitely stay here again.

The woman working the desk lied to me to about the number of rooms available. She told me there was only one left and after I paid she asked me if the first floor was okay. I responded, «Is there anything else?» Then she told me about the other room available. She also misrepresented the price of my room to make it seem $ 30 cheaper(with taxes). I called the front desk at one point to ask for extra blankets and I was told to come down to the front desk to get them myself. I’ve stayed at numerous hotels in my life and I have NEVER been asked to come pick up something I ask for from the front desk. That was an outrage. I paid $ 130.00 for a room for 6 hours and you can’t even bring a blanket to my second floor room? The icing on the cake was that the complimentary breakfast that was supposed to be ready at 6am was no where near being ready at 6am. I will not stay at a Holiday Inn again if I can help it.
