Darci J.

Manager

Darci Jordan, Hamilton Twelve’s Venue Director, graduated from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco in 2004. She has worked in restaurants all over the country including The Grand Teton Resort in Wyoming and several fine-​dining restaurants on Maui. She contributes ample culinary strengths; from classic sophistication to celebrating exotic multi-​cultural fare; the food is exceptional. She has a golden retriever that loves cranberry scones almost as much as Chef Darci does.

Katy Rankin, our in-​house Coordinator, is a joy to work with. Her bright smile and professional, fun personality will ensure your wedding planning is a breeze and on your wedding day itself you’ll be able to focus on celebrating while Katy makes sure everything happens according to your timeline. She’s also great at working with your photographer, florist and D.J. to make certain your wedding day dreams come true.

No question about it, the best venue we could have chosen for our wedding.
Perhaps I missed all the hectic headaches, being the groom but it was a great day. Everything was perfect. Darcy made amazing food that everyone loved. She even catered to our vegan friends’ needs. Honestly, I wanted a vegan plate after seeing it and I’m a steak/​potatoes guy from West Texas.
Katie was a trooper. She helped us organize events and was the day-​of coordinator, all while being 7 months pregnant. She wouldn’t stop trying to go above and beyond: moving plants, boxes, running to get our glass full, and so on.
Our only issue was that hotels near Hamilton Twelve were a 15 – 20 minute drive. Fear not though, the Sonesta hotel in the Hill Country Galleria is opening (or has opened) in July 2015.
Do yourself a favor and meet with Katie and Darcy as soon as you can.

Hamilton Twelve is a top notch venue and I am so thankful I chose them for our wedding. Chef Darci and Katy were amazing to work with. The venue itself is gorgeous and has the perfect touches of romanticism and intimacy amidst the stunning hill country backdrop. Katy is the venue coordinator and helped me with so many decisions along the way. She went over and beyond just being a «day of» venue coordinator. My mother was the nervous type through the wedding planning and had all sorts of questions regarding what if’s…what if it rains, what if the shuttles break down, what if the apocalypse happens on my daughter’s wedding day? Katy helped ease all of her worries and answer all of her questions. Chef Darci and Katy listened to my wedding vision. There was never any talk about not being able to do something. Instead, it was always how we would make something work. For instance, I had originally wanted food trailers to come out and serve food to our guests. I realized it was not in our budget. Chef Darci came up with the idea to create food stations around the venue to give our guests the feeling of walking up to different food trailers. I loved how creative Chef Darci was to create that environment I was looking for.
The day of the wedding Katy and the staff managed everything with grace and style. Katy kept everything on track and guided us through the entire day with a smile on her face. Our decorations and entire vision came together and our wedding was by far one of the most special moments of my life. I continue to receive compliments on how beautiful the venue was, how tasty the cuisine was and how lovely the staff treated everyone. I would most certainly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding or special event.
I feel like Katy and Chef Darci became our friends through the year-​long planning process. I will be sure to come out to some of H12’s cooking classes to say hello to them from time to time.

I called Hamilton Twelve on a Sunday when my parents were in town meeting the soon-​to-​be in-​laws. I called because my mother did not like the venue we originally booked. Just a note — the reasons she did not like it had nothing to do with looks or anything — it just wasn’t «full service» and that bothered her. Anyway, we called and they were able to see us that afternoon to give us a tour and go over their policies.
When we walked in, I could tell my mom adored the place. After walking around, and trying to get over the fact my mother was changing everything I had already planned, I warmed up to the place. It helped that the new owner, Darci, was super sweet and excited.
After we went through everything Hamilton Twelve provided and we reviewed our budget, we decided to book.
Darci was very helpful with everything, especially in her expertise of food. She made amazing suggestions and our menu was delish! A few months before the wedding, Darci also hired Katy, a wedding planner. Katy was also amazing. She jumped right in and made final timeline suggestions and changes that helped to move things along.
Day of was great. Our hair and makeup appointment went a little late (mainly because a bunch of girls decided last minute to get makeup done) and when we arrived everything was being set up and organized nicely.
So… wedding was supposed to start at 5:00 pm (I even gave wiggle room of 15 minutes on the timeline and put 5:15 pm because we hired transportation from downtown tot he venue for all of our out of town guests). I won’t get into the bad transportation nor will I give them a terrible review because they actually gave us money back! Anyway, the last shuttle did not show up until 5:30 pm, which pushed our ceremony to 5:45pm. Katy handled it like the pro she is! She made sure to talk to the right people about things like opening the bar for guests that were there; checking in on me and making sure all the girls were okay. Everyone was happy. In fact, we even made up time and got back on the timeline somehow!
The grounds are also beautiful. Lots of great places for photos, but you can check that all out yourself!
I’d suggest this venue to anyone looking to make their day special.

My son and his new bride were married here last night, and I can’t say enough good things about the venue, the staff, food, atmosphere and Annie, the coordinator! From beginning to end, everything flowed perfectly. Everyone had a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend Hamilton Twelve to anyone who wants an elegant, but not «stuffy feeling» place to have their wedding.

We had our wedding here on May 2nd, 2009. Frankly my wife and I cannot praise Hamilton Twelve enough.
On the day, the venue was wonderful. Annie was extremely helpful throughout the process and ensured that everything ran smoothly.
The food was incredible, we had so many compliments from our guests on the food, venue, staff, and particularly the bartenders. The venue worked with us to accommodate my wife, who has a gluten allergy.
Another nice thing about the venue was that you can supply your own alcohol, which we purchased at Specs. This may seem like a small thing, until you see how much many venues charge for drinks!
I’d say the only caveat was getting our guests to and from their beautiful location, about 30 minutes west of Austin. In the end we thought it best to let people be responsible for their own transport to the venue, and this worked out fine.

We had our wedding on March 8, 2008 at the Hamilton Twelve. I started to write a review shortly after returning from the honeymoon, and then quickly realized that after writing out around 100 thank you notes, I never wanted to write anything ever again.
I would like to say that exhaustion has worn off, but it hasn’t entirely. So I’ll keep it short and sweet. When you book your wedding at the Hamilton Twelve, you get a «day of» event planner included in the cost of the rental. THAT IS HUGE.
The venue itself is beautiful, but if you have a specific color and décor theme and your heart is set on it, it had better have something to do with rich, deep reds with a little cream and gold thrown in. Otherwise you’re going to be SOL. Fortunately, this was the first vendor we chose, so we were able to plan our theme around what was already there and ended up saving a bundle in the process. The bridal suite has a huge bathroom and plenty of mirrors for all the ladies to get ready before the ceremony. The groom and his guys get their own bungalow off the side of the courtyard, so you can both get ready on-​site with little or no chance of accidentally bumping into each other.
The food was incredible, and we had fun choosing from the extensive menu during the planning process. The staff was polite and helpful. In fact, I should just say that I was pleased with every little thing except one: nobody thought to get my husband and I a sample of the appetizer we so painstakingly selected from the aforementioned menu. By the time we were done with our (actually very brief) posed photo shoot, those little blue cheese beef tenderloin crostinis were looooooong gone, and I had to spend a good two to three minutes of my wedding day being surly. If it hadn’t been for that, I’d have given them five stars easy. All in all it’s a great choice. Just make sure to make a mad dash on your way back down the aisle and nab yourself a passed appetizer before your drunk Uncle Ted fills a plate with them.

First of all, Hamilton Twelve’s *catering* might be downtown, but the actual «Mediterranean Villa» is way out around Dripping Springs. We visited the property because we were interested in having our wedding there. The property manager was very nice. The outdoor area is paved or graveled (is that a word?) and has a nice little pool, but the view isn’t anything to write home about (no hills) and the landscaping wasn’t kept up with. The setup is pretty nice for a smallish wedding, though, and although I haven’t eaten their food, I’ve heard it’s great. Definitely somewhere to check out.
