I can’t vouch for Greg Butler Homes outside of the cool photography on their website. I’m sure Greg’s work is fine, but his ethics are not. Apparently, they don’t teach ethics where Greg went to school. Having said that, I doubt they taught him to steal from others in order to increase his own wealth – that’s something innate; a quality of conscience. It’s sad, really. I say sad because it is not a case of need; it is a case of greed. For me, It is not about the money involved. It is the principles involved. For Greg the opposite seems to be true. I would advise any contractors to consider this before helping him with his next project. It’s not that he doesn’t believe he owes me the money(I have e-mails from him acknowledging the debt). No, he simply decided he doesn’t have to pay. I would also ask future customers to consider whether they want to support a business with ethics like these. Even when it is «white collar crime», theft is theft. He was happy to use my products and services, but not pay for them. He stole from me. He stole from my family. Actions like this affect the entire community. It is unacceptable. As a small business owner who has been at it for 16 years, it saddens me to see another business behave this way and build their success off the backs of others. My loss was his gain. How many others are there like me, Greg?
