Irrigation Design and Installation: Design and installation of professional sprinkler systems. Our goal is to design the most efficient watering system possible in order to minimize water waste. We consider plant materials, site, wind, and soil conditions to construct the best sprinkler system available that will ultimately save you money on your water bill.

Sprinkler Repair/​Alteration: Hourly sprinkler repair calls — Sprinkler repairs include sprinkler maintenance, fixing irrigation problems, repairing sprinkler valves, spray and rotor heads, replacing/​repairing sprinkler controllers/​rain sensors, and much more. Irrigation alterations include swimming pool retrofits, changing/​moving sprinkler zones, changing controllers to optimize efficiency, altering heads to maximize performance.

2011 Green Tree Professional, LLC added Irrigation and sprinkler system repair and installation to service list: lawncare, tree trimming, landscaping, and irrigation. LI: 19 459

2012 Green Tree Professional, LLC has formally adopted lawn irrigation repair and sprinkler installation as its major services.

Green Tree’s established itself as a major irrigation service company in the Austin, TX area. With combined experience of over 40 years, Green Tree has the ability to handle any irrigation design and installation, sprinkler repair or sprinkler alteration whether residential or commercial. Green Tree was started with two brothers and remains a family business.

I have a passion for irrigation. My ultimate goal was always to be self-​employed, because I believe I can do anything better and cheaper when I have the true motivation to do so. We offer irrigation system installation and sprinkler repair. We feel that we work harder and faster than most and will give 100% of our energies to promote a healthy landscape for you!

I am not only the business owner, but also the Irrigator in Charge. I most commonly work in the field on irrigation and sprinkler system projects. My brother Mikel is also lisenced irrigator — LI: 20 221 — and a hands-​on kind of guy. Between the two of us, there is no sprinkler/​irrigation job that we can’t handle. Our focus is primarily on irrigation issues (water conservation, sprinkler system efficiency, backflow prevention, etc).

They always explain what/​why they are fixing things and even suggest how to fix other minor issues yourself (in case you don’t want to spend more for their services). I have to say, they did a very good job and they were quick about it. I contacted Green Tree through Angie’s List. For $ 50 they sent a service man to conduct and overview and assessment of what I needed as far as my lawn sprinkler system. My system is nearly 30 years old and had not been updated in years. They were quick to schedule an appointment and were here at about the appointed time. They found a number of sprinkler heads were broken or misaligned and two lines with leaks. They scheduled a follow-​up call and Matthew Tait came out. He was not the original assessment guy. But he had all the information about what needed to be repaired and/​or replaced. It took him 2 hours to adjust and replace the heads. Now, everything is running as it should! I’m very pleased. With the cost of Angie’s list, the total was $ 400.00. That’s not bad considering it has been nearly 10 years since I had the system updated. Overall I’m pleased and the sprinkler system should give me another 5 to 10 years of effective use.

I called Green Tree after reading the positive reviews on Unilocal.They set me up with an appointment to get and estimate for sprinkler system repairs for later in the week. I explained that one of my zones would not shut off all the way, and was leaking into the street. They rearranged their schedule to fit me in the same day, and Mikel showed up right on time… his brother Darynn stopped by as well to pitch in when he finished another job.
They were able to locate all 5 of my zone valves, which had been buried under several inches of dirt and sod. He quickly diagnosed the problems, and was able to rebuild two problem valves on the spot. He even took the time to show me how to rebuild the valves myself, in case I have problems with the other ones in the future. They were very knowledgeable, and gave me recommendations for the best ways to set up the sprinkler programming and maintain my equipment.
Great attitude and prompt service from a local Austin business. On top of that, their pricing was very reasonable. Doesn’t get any better than that.

The team was excellent! I recently moved to Austin and inherited a sprinkler nighmare at my new home. They didn’t stop until they resolved and/​or corrected all of the previous shoddy work. My sprinkler works great now and I would highly recommend them.

I left a message to get my lawn aerated and cut and got a call back within 5 minutes. They were able to give me an estimate over the phone (I think they used Google Satellite maps to look at my lawn?) Anyways they came out the next day and did a great job with the lawn cutting/​cleaning and the aeration. They also spread my grass food on the lawn for me and gave me tips to get my yard back to top shape.

If you like or are accustomed to mediocre services… these are the guys for you… they promise and fail to deliver anything of quality. They have no concept of what a well manicured yard should look like and when asked to deliver, over and over, again and again, they continue to provide disappointing results. This only leaves me with one conclusion… they have no clue or they are just plain lazy.
I contracted for year round services every two weeks. I asked that leaves be collected during the winter months when there is no grass to be mowed. They said no prob. I watched them blow the leaves against the fence lines, into beds and hidden corners in horror. When I asked what they had planned for the remaining leaves they acted like this would be and extra cost. What in the world did they think I wanted when I asked for year round service to include leaf collection? What in the world was I paying for during all the winter months?
They appear cheerful and accommodating… but have no real understanding of what quality lawn and yard services are and look like. Their rates are not discounted and are in line with the competition. They can’t assert «What do you expect for discounted services.»
If you feel like you aren’t entitled to quality services or quality isn’t of concern… give them a call… I’m sure they’ll have no trouble accommodating.

These guys are fantastic! I just bought a house and have no lawn equipment. I also have poison ivy all over the yard. They came out and gave me a quote which in my mind was more than reasonable for the mow and weed/​ivy removal. They are usually only in my area on Tuesdays but was able to fit me in two days later at the end of the day!
Before they started this yard looked horrid! It now looks like a real yard! They are efficient, polite, and totally down to earth. Greentree will be my go-​to guys for lawn service from here on out!

Greentree ‘Professional’ Lawncare Services has left us with nothing but a lot of work and a mess. We had agreed with their owner that he would be building a waterfall feature in our pond, laying stones, mortaring, moving a tree, laying sod, add lightning, etc.
The waterfall was not built properly and leaked water due to them not installing a liner behind the rocks. The owner said he would be on site for this project but instead had other yards to do so left his worker with no tools or insight on what to do. On more than one occasion his workers asked me to borrow tools or said they thought they were ‘just moving rocks’.
The mortaring job never was completed because the guy the owner sent out didn’t understand how to mortar a pond. The purpose of mortar is to allow the water level to reach your rocks. If the owner was on site like he promised he could have helped facilitate what needed to be done.
For moving our ‘tree’ which is a pomegranate bush they only removed half of it because the ‘roots were too deep’ and destroyed half of my bush. When they re-​planted it they did not even use the 2 bags of potting soil that they requested me to buy and used normal dirt.
For laying sod this did not even get done because on Saturday the day they were to install the sod it was raining. The owner re-​scheduled to Sunday due to the rain. On Sunday he gave me a text message in the late morning and said that it was too cold to come out, it was 70 degrees and sunny. I ended up calling up another company to come lay the sod that same day and had no issue.
For the lightning issues we had with them their ‘Master electrician’ had installed our lights. I will attach two pictures so you can see how they install an outdoor light and not use any kind of caulk or foam to seal from water entering the box and creating a short. I had to spend 2 hours of my own time digging up the boxes they installed and caulking them. I highly doubt this ‘electrician’ aka «Soon to be foreman» even has a certification.
I paid Greentree Professional the full price because that is the type of person I am. On the other hand, these guys are nothing but scam artist and a very unprofessional bunch. Take this as a huge warning not to use this company and pick someone else.
I have placed a formal BBB compliant against this company and he has been nothing but even more unprofessional. He has called me a whole slew of names for opening a claim with the BBB against him. He has also threatened to sue us as well.
Save yourself the headache that you will incur with these guys–

Greentree Professional Lawn Service just came out to our house yesterday and did a fabulous job! I cannot recommend them enough.
Due to medical issues, we’d let our lawn get out of control. We needed a thorough clean-​up – cut, edging, etc. The problem? Almost none of the lawn care services would offer a one-​time price (they all wanted contracts – usually for six months or more). Not Mikel at Greentree! He came out and transformed our lawn – honestly we never had it looking this good. I’m sure we’ll use him in the future, too, when life just gets to be too much. He’s very personable, easy to talk with and dedicated to getting the job done to your satisfaction. The website is very helpful, too. I picked him based on the two Unilocal reviews below and am so glad I did.

Their price was great and the service was excellent, they were courteous and right on time.
Likely will go back to them for some other yard work, and why not mowing our lawn too.
