Business Owner
Emily started Green Fern Events in 2009 with a mission to minimize negative impact of every event without compromising overall budget and costs. It is a pleasure to report goals have been met or exceeded. With over 11 years’ experience planning and managing events, Emily is recognized as a leader. She is known for her environmental dedication, effective team building and negotiating skills, positive and upbeat personality, and her ability to manage multiple projects.
Emily has been the Conference Manager for the largest annual hydrogen & fuel cell conference in the world since 2005. Currently, Emily is working with the US Composting Council on the world’s largest conference and exhibition for the organics management industry.
Emily holds a BA in Communications Studies, Lynchburg College, VA and a MA in Event Management/Sustainable Destination Management from George Washington University, Washington, DC.
