History

Established in 2010.

Amy was working in the corporate world & knew she hadn’t found her destiny. She also knew other folks were running into the same time crunch she was of getting her dog out for some healthy exercise. Everyone wants their dog to be healthy & happy. That’s when the idea of a dog fitness service came to her and she started Amy’s Joggin’ Dogs which turned into Game Time Dog Services when she moved to Austin.

My name is Amy and in my early years when my mother couldn’t find me she knew to look in the yard with the dogs or the barn with the horses. I was born an animal lover and will be forever! Kya, my adopted Great Dane, has been my first mate for 10 years now. BiG is a new addition to our troop and is an adorable high energy Pomeranian. You may be laughing right now and the answer is yes. I have the biggest and smallest dog in the same house — I think I have the best of both worlds.

I worked hard working my way up the corporate ladder for years, but something was missing. Kya was getting ‘frustrated’ too because she didn’t get her outside jogs. I wondered how many other people ran into the time crunch and energy depletion I was. The idea for a dog exercise service came to me. With prayer and hard work we opened in November 2010, and our dedication to the owners and pets we service keeps us happy and growing.

Amy and her team are the best!
Trusting strangers with not only your home but your pups can be difficult but not with Game Time. They have been consistently kind, responsive, and professional. I rest assured knowing that my two boys (a beagle mix and a boxer) are safe in the company of dog lovers while I’m at work. One of the best perks are the daily posts to Instagram — a quick peek into their visit!
I would highly recommend Game Time to anyone looking for a dog walker in Austin.

Just returned home from a 6 day vacation in which Game Time was in charge of our two elderly dogs. They are so much more comfortable in our home than at a boarding facility (one is blind so really doesn’t need the stress of a new environment) and having Game Time come puts us so at ease. We sent a long list of instructions (one dog requires medication administration) and Amy followed up with great questions ahead of time. The dogs were so happy and adjusted back easily to us being back home. We received a picture every day from their visit and our main caregiver, Sharon was so personable. She clearly loves dogs and I will request her personally on the next trip we take.
Such a great service, I wholeheartedly recommend them!

Such a blessing! My first dog walker moved away about 8 months ago – she was wonderful and I thought I would never find someone to replace her… thankfully I found Amy and her team a few months ago and couldn’t be happier! Reliable and organized and I know they take such good care of my fur kid while I’m at work. Amy is great at keeping up with my always changing schedule. Her team of dog walkers always leave me little notes about Syd and even the occasional picture and Instagram pic! And when I go on vacation, I can trust that he will be taken care of and not stressed out! I can actually enjoy myself and not feel guilty about leaving! If you’re as crazy about your pets as I am, you will not be disappointed!

Amy, Hannah, and the whole Game Time team are absolutely phenomenal! In January we brought home our little english bulldog Buford. I work full time and my boyfriend is in a masters program and there are a few days we need a little extra help with an extra walk here and there for our little guy! Hannah and Amy are always extremely reliable and Buford just loves them both! We always receive pictures of Buford out on his walk or playing at the park and it brightens my day at the office! Sometimes we have schedule changes and Amy, Hannah, and the whole team always are available to accommodate our needs! The response time to the request or change is always met in a timely fashion as well which is great! We could not be happier with the service that they provide and all the love they give Buford! Amy and her team are WONDERFUL! I moved here last fall, didn’t know anyone in town, but was given the name of Game Time Dog Services to help with my dogs. Amy came out, met my dogs, & determined our needs. I have been SO happy with all three of my dog walkers. They send me pictures each time they visit and give me updates on the girls’ activities. The dogs were also recipients of occasional extra treats and toys. We were ALL spoiled. I have also called Amy for extra help with emergency circumstances. She was great and I knew that my dogs would be okay. I can’t recommend Game Time enough. You and your pets will be spoiled. Seriously!

I’ve been using Game Time for about 6 months, and WHOA. Let’s talk about excellent service! Amy’s team comes by daily while I’m at work to walk my pup. They take an Instagram photo, so I can look at a pic of my pup and know she’s been taken care of. They even use the hashtag that I requested, which is just that sweet cherry on top of my Instagram sundae. (Attention to detail? YES.)
But that’s just the awesome daily service that I get. Let’s talk about Christmas (a sweet card with my dog’s pic on it) and my dog’s birthday (a cute plush toy for her to play with)! They bring in packages if something comes in the mail. They’ve even wrangled a new kitten inside for me once! Amy is always quick to respond to my texts if I have any concerns or information to pass along. I feel like I can count on Amy and her team, and I feel so at ease at work knowing that my animals have a consistent, responsible, caring person to check on them while I’m at work.

I can’t recommend Amy highly enough! We have a crew of four dogs, overwhelming to say the least. They immediately could sense that Amy was a friend and I could tell that she felt the same way about them. Amy took care of them for five days for us. She sent text updates and pictures which were really comforting. Our crew suffers from allergies and she made extra effort to wipe their faces and paws, which offers them a lot of relief during these high pollen months. What really, really made me a life-​long fan and loyal customer is the difference in the dogs when we came home. We’ve left them in the care of friends and family in the past, which I’m truly grateful for, but I have to say that the dogs have never been happy. We usually come home to a group of screaming mimies, frantically trying to say «we almost DIED without you»! This time, we came home to a group of happy, healthy, calm dogs. They were happy to see us, but they weren’t stressed out and frantically distraught like they usually are. They were legitimately HAPPY. Thank you Amy and the Game Time Team!!!

Game Time Dog Services is one of the best dog sitting/​walking services I have used in Austin. I have an older dog that is becoming very high maintenance and requires different medications throughout the day. I was somewhat worried about leaving her alone for almost 2 weeks while we went away on vacation. Game Time helped relieve that worry. They provided lots updates and communication while we were away. They were also very flexible when I had to do some last minute scheduling changes while I was away on vacation. I will definitely use them again

Amy recently took over my dog-​walking/​running business as I am moving to Asia. To complete the transition, I took her to meet each of her new clients and learn their exercise routines. Every dog that I introduced immediately felt safe and comfortable with Amy and clearly couldn’t wait to play! This service is BEYOND! I mean, seriously. I don’t know what I would have done had I not found Game Time. My dog has never been happier, and my house has never been cleaner (he’s not bored and getting in the garbage, I mean!) Amy and her team are great! She walks our two very active golden retrievers and when we come home they are happy and much calmer. She responds quickly to emails and always sends text message picture updates after the walk. I love see how happy the dogs are while she is visiting. AMY ROCKS!
I had to go out of town and don’t ever want to board my dogs. I asked Amy if she could dog sit for me. Of course she did, even though in her personal life one of her very own dogs was going through a difficult time (she left them in the care of her also capable husband).
My dogs were so well cared for, she didn’t miss a beat. One of my dogs is on twice daily meds/​eye drops and eye flushes– she took care of everything.
There are not enough words to say how secure I felt with both my home and the care of my 2 closest pals.
Amy has a permanent key to my house, and a permanent place in our hearts. SHe is truly great.

The three most magical letters in the alphabet this week are A-​M-​Y and Game Time Dog Services! What an amazing person and operation. The unfortunate part for so many people is that they don’t know that Amy does Cats! That’s right! This is more than the name suggests. Therefore for all of the cat owners leaving their feline friends at home that could used a «checking in», you should work with Amy for a daily visit. We have her on retainer this week to watch our 3 cats and it has been such a relief!
From our first meeting I knew that Amy would be able to work with us on the needs for our «Gang of 3». Amy had a great initial consultation and asked fantastic questions for clarity. Similar to all people that do work in our home, we like to work off a written «Scope» statement so all of us are on the same page. Amy helped us work through the definition of the document and helped me clarify items that I took for granted that she picked up and is executing for us.
During her first visit alone she went out of her way to snap a picture of our «gang» and send it over. I feel so much at ease knowing that the Gang had a nice morning meal and clean litter boxes for the rest of the day.
I love that they take credit cards and can keep that on file for future visits.
I have not traveled very much out of Austin because of our concern to make sure the «Gang» is well cared for, but having met Amy, I think I can take a few more trips, because I know they would be in good hands.
I hope those of you with cats looking for assistance meet with Amy as soon as possible.

I usually only leave Unilocal reviews when I’ve had a bad experience, but my dog and I love Amy so much that I feel like she deserves the time for a review. Amy goes above and beyond to make sure my dog is happy. She’s flexible and always friendly (no matter how many nervous emails I send !) She runs with my dog during the week, and has come on the weekend when I’ve been out of town. She’s dependable, always responds to emails/​texts, and is just a really nice person. She sends me texts at work with pictures of my dog after their runs– I love that! Best of all, I can tell a 100% difference in my dog’s behavior on a leash since Amy has been coming. I don’t know what she’s doing, but it’s working! I loved my old dog walker in Houston, but I think that I might like Amy even better! (I think my dog agrees!) If you hire her, you won’t be dissapointed.

Amy is wonderful with our puppy. We have been using Amy’s Joggin’ Dogs service for several months. She comes everyday and takes our puppy out for exercise and training. She is Auntie Amy because our puppy and our family love her. She takes care of him and watches him like a mom so I feel safe that he’s with her.
The difference between her services and others is that she really gets the dog a workout. Our puppy is high-​strung and has lots of energy and needs more exercise then a brisk walk and back inside. She’s also worked with him on a few behavioral issues and daily works on training skills with him.

Amy is AMAZING!
Amy just started walking my two Boston Terriers two months ago and I could not be happier for a slew of reasons:
1. She does her JOB.
My dogs differ drastically in age. I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old. To say the least she has her hands full. But she handles them both and gives them both the attention they need. She makes sure the older dog gets the the walk in and the more rambunctious play she needs, while making sure the puppy has his puppy pads, his crate set up, and the attention he needs. She always gives me a post walk update on how they did, what they did, and has even sent me cute pics of them playing. I know my dogs are being well cared for.
2. She is trustworthy.
It’s hard to let someone into your home, unsupervised, when you’re not there. It’s definitely a risk. Amy has a key, comes when we are not home and we have left jewelry, even (gasp) money on the counters and it has never even been so much as touched. I trust Amy in my home.
3. She goes above and beyond.
Amy scanned and sent us potty training articles and even brought over some extra puppy pads to help with the impossible task that is potty training.
4. She is flexible.
When we first started using Amy we took quite some time getting her a key. So everyday she had to drive to our building management office (off-​site), wait for someone, get a key, drive back to the house, then afterwards drive back and drop off the key. I felt terrible! But she never once acted like it even bothered her. She stays closely in touch and seems very easy going and flexible– something very important if your life is so busy you’re considering a dog walker!
I really can not come up with any criticism. I wish I could to give this review a little more credibility… but I have nothing negative to say!

Cudos to Amy! She’s been running my dogs for the past 6 weeks and I love the fact that I don’t have to worry about Jake and Jenny not getting enough exercise. It’s that time of the year for me – VERY busy — and it’s one less thing that I have to worry about. The best thing is that both Jake and Jenny seem to be more relaxed when I get home from work and they’re behaving much better in the apartment, and when I take them on walks! It’s a win-​win with less stress on them, and me!
Amy even helped me when I was out of town for the weekend by coming over twice a day to feed and walk/​run my pups! She’s great with both of them and really cares about the well being of animals in general! If you’re in need of pet services — I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AMY’S JOGGIN DOGS!
